Good morning!

More wild weather thru out the South yesterday. Prayers for those affected.

0 went to Chicago to raise money for his ’12 campaign in the aftermath of his Tuesday Demagogue Speech. I would love to see some of those deluded rich capitalists he likes to court at certain times finally turn their backs on him and refuse to play his game.

And buried in a PJM piece I found this little item: even some of 0’s people in the WH are embarrassed by the 30 + minutes 0 will spend talking sports at the beginning of a 45 minute national security session.

    We’re off on another Week

Tremendous winds blew thru here today, knocking down power lines, tree limbs, and so on. Out and about today, I came across 2 roadblocks just in my neighborhood where utility poles had fallen.

But it was nothing compared to the devastation in N.C.

  2. lysie says:

Prayers for the people hit by the devastating storms in the South and Midwest.

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

Raven How’s your dear patient doing?

    • The Raven says:

Her family is very weird when it comes to illness. Instead of a day of bed rest there was chaos and various family members taking turns playing doctor, while the primary caretaker (me) watches in horror. Seems the care instruction given by the doctor are for some other person. I may grab a hotel room and wait it out.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my…well, that was yesterday I presume? Maybe today, everyone will be calmer. Don’t rush to the nearest Hampton Inn yet!

Rav, remember, pins and needles; needles and pins it’s a happy man who grins.

    Good morning everyone.

    Good night friends.

Hello everyone. I’m just checking in, quickly. The BP meds had made me a little dizzy today, so I will spend most of the day in the Lazy Boy.

  7. edinva says:

Thanks, Lysie, for the beautiful breakfast (or brunch).

    Good morning, ALL

So pleased with the final counts in the WI Supreme Court case. It will be interesting to see if Kloppenberg decides to ask for a recount since in her victory speech, standing on her daunting 242 vote lead, she said she hoped Prosser wouldn’t put the state through that. He only declared victory last night after all the canvasing was comleted. He handled it very gracefully. The whole affair is reminiscent of the Tortoise and the Hare.

Am so thoroughly enjoying The Donald these days. We’ll see what, if anything, happen with his presidential aspirations, but for now it’s just a ton of fun. O & Co. have no clue how to handle it. Guess it’s an advantage he has of being untouchable with all the $$$ and celebrity. I DO wish there were another R who would speak out like that. If Trump chooses not to run, I hope he shares some spine with the other contenders.

On the home front, one of the chickadees is (again) leaving the nest. Moving to Richmond, far preferable in my mind under his circumstance than his original thought of going to NYC. In two weeks another of them is moving from SF to NYC, but has a job offer ‘you can’t refuse.’ And a handsome salary. And therein lies the difference.

We’re enjoying more April Showers today, with a chill in the air. Not the horror faced in the South. Or the storm in the Plain. Just a tepid rain, and for that we are grateful.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

You are welcome ed. I think your son made a wise decision.

Went back and re-read your post. You have 2 leaving? Bless you.

    • Two Thirds says:

      Hi ed,
Finally got back on here after being preoccupied with lots of work and stuff.
I’m cheering Trump, too, because he does take it to the tyrant and I’m a Birther of the first order. I’m hoping Trump brings up the stolen Social Security Number that the tyrant has used. The tyrant is using a Connecticut SSN, having never lived there.

    • Bitwhacker says:

You are right about the CT SS ID. Now they are saying that he got that SS ID because he filed his taxes in CT even though he was living in NY. AND, some people are saying that he isn’t releasing college transcripts because he never went to Columbia, and he flunked out of Occidental. It was a Saudi connection thru his Paki traveling buddy that got him into Harvard — and that’s why he turned in his law licenses — because he could never pass the background checks a non-connected law firm would conduct.

I used to take the position that I really didn’t care about the birth cert. issue because we could never do anything about it, but now it looks like his whole CV is a total fraud.

(Also, Michelle turned in her law license before being ordered to surrender it by a judge over corruption in the Chicago mayor’s office, apparently… 😉 )

    • Molly Pitcher says:

IIRC, few at Columbia remember him…maybe he attended a few classes, but never was officially a student?

      What’s CV, Bit?

Hi 2/3rds…Busy at work is good.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi EDRichmond is a much better choice, yes!

I’ve been communicating with a cousin in s. Fauquier about a fallen tombstone in the family plot there. Hoping it can be placed again in the ground without having to get a new one.

    • Bitwhacker says:

Sorry, CV is Curricula Vitae, like a resume… 😉

  8. mustknowhistory says:

    How about those Indians!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

They are really playing the game well. They started getting better last Sept., so it’s good to see them build on that.

I think the overall management and coaching of those young players is much improved.

Yesterday the weather wasn’t so great, but Friday night, they had a large walk-up crowd at the ticket office, so that’s encouraging.

The football and basketball seasons were so disappointing that fans are eager and hungry for a winning team.

It just makes me happy to see very good execution and respect for the game…doing that game after game… being disciplined… means winning most of the series thruout the season.

  9. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
Sorry for the late breakfast. We were up early to take a truckload of old electronics to a free collection center. This area has 2 events like this per year. Many of the items were old televisions from Greg’s parent’s home. After that, we went to the grocery store and Tractor Supply. Oh, since McDonald’s was in the area we had breakfast.

    • tillacum says:

I love Tractor Supply especially their Texas size jelly beans, I love jelly beans. I think that’s what Roomey noticed, I was a cheap date, I love chocolate, but jelly beans are at the top of the sweet list. I’m also fixing a Texas Cacti succulent pot, and will be putting in some cows, horses, an outhouse that I found, a dog, and some “people”, all found at Tractor supply.

Prosser Declares Victory After Canvass Shows Win

I’m linking to FR as the original link wants to go to a different story for some reason. You can get to the original link thru FR.

Anyway, Prosser is a class act, unlike Kloppenberg.

  11. Jemian says:

Good morning! Thank you for getting us started this weekend.

  12. Molly Pitcher says:

Everyone a note from Northern Yankee…his mother has passed away with most of her family present. He sends his greetings.
