Wel, well….if this Strauss-Kahn guy is worth his salt as a lefty, he’ll blame it on Sarkozy by tomorrow this time. We need to start putting lefties in jail.

    • The Raven says:

      Nice quote by blog …
” To each according to his need” doesn’t work here

    • queenie says:

      Good morning.

Ya, that Strauss-Kahn guy sounds like a real piece of work. Ugh.

      Jem: How’s the back?

lysie: Find any treasures at garage sales? How nice that Greg found tools at good prices!

      Nita: Hope you’re feeling better!

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

      Good Morning.

Happy to see Col Lakin has been released. What a dumb move by our gov’t. to put him there in the first place. We all know the duffus in the wh has been floating faux birth certificates.

We’ll be gone for a couple of weeks. Going to OH for a meeting. We’re leaving in a few minutes.

      Till I return, y’all behave.

    Happy Saturday, everyone !

Well, I had an ‘interesting’ week. May have logged in last Sunday to note that my kids organized a surprise Mother’s Day brunch in Old Town Alexandria VA. Lovely thought. Of course, no one checked to see if it’d work for old mom, who was feeling HORRIBLE. So we went and had a lovely brunch but it soon became clear mom wasn’t feeling too well, and there was some discussion that we should adjourn to the ER.. but, oh, no .. Mother knows best, doesn’t she? So, she refused until early Monday am when pain made the decision and off to the ER she went.

Long story short, I ended up being admitted for gall stones/bladder .. and the infection from the delay precluded the simpler lithroscopy removal, so they had to do the knife cut. Oh, well, live and learn. The time in hospital was actually really enjoyable.

Got home yesterday, missed a whole week of news (which is not a bad thing). Saw something about Ahnold and Maria splitting. Col. Lakin was released and returned home today. That’s about all I know.

Looking forward to getting caught up here.

In my news, I went down to Orlando and came back up to Auburn. I did not visit Mickey and Minnie, but did have a conference. Everything went smoothly. Since my back has been aching for over a week, I went to a doc-in-the-box and they sent me to a radiology clinic for an MRI. I’ll learn what it shows later next week.

Not quite as exciting as gall bladder surgery but it works. FWIW, take it easy this week. It took me a little while to recover from mine.

I went to Hobby Lobby today and picked up some wonderful baby weight yarn in a varigated pink and brown for a layette and a navy blue yarn for a cap and booties. I’ll post pictures when I finish them. Piper better like navy!

    • edinva says:

Jemian .. good luck with your results next week. How is it they can give an inpatient MRI results in half an hour, but outpatients have to wait over a week ?? Of all the options we faced, gall bladder was the least worrisome, almost a gift! My daughter had hers removed on her 23rd birthday while living in Japan .. so now we have a friendly mother/daughter competition on who had the most/biggest stones 😉

    • mustknowhistory says:

Jemian: can you post the directions with the photos?

      That would be loverly!

    • lysie says:

Ed, I’m so sorry about your gall bladder ordeal. Take care.

    • tillacum says:

OH me, take care. Been there, done that. I too waited, thought I had the flu. Harrumph..wrong.

  4. Prairie says:

Good afternoon and Happy Saturday everybody. Congratulations on Greg’s good “finds” today, lysie

We have been working hard, getting ready to head north soon. It’s always quite a project over several days. Resting now…..

  5. lysie says:

Back from making the first round of garage sales. I didn’t fare too well, but Greg scored with power tools. He figures he was able to buy over $300.00 worth of tools for about 1/10th the price.

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

More garage sales this morning. BBL
