America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant-17 months left Sept. 24-25, 2011(Weekend Edition) -Remember 9/11

We all can relax and not worry about the spacecraft landing on our houses. Experts are saying it came apart somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. They are also saying the precise time and location is not known.

In the “I just don’t understand department”…How can the House of Representatives honor a man (Rangel)when they voted 333-79 to censure him for unpaid taxes on property he owned in the Dominican Republican?

Been AWOL today, plus computer “issues” tonight…

    New thread is up

  2. The Raven says:

First and foremost we need to beat Zero in the next election For that we need a good debater. Next we need someone who knows a little about freedom, free enterprise, free people, free press, free religion. It wouldn’t hurt to also fend off the other freedoms….free healthcare, free food, free money, free housing, free mortgages.

The good debater would be Newt. I get funny negative, undefined, feelings about Perry, Romney, Palin, Bachman, and Paul. In other words, I think they’ll lose. Cain fits the bill but the BS thinks he’s unelectable. Santorum ?? Lost his last race? Chris Christy is opposed by people I admire so I’m not crazy about him yet.

How does everybody else weigh in ??? Too early??

  3. tillacum says:

Raven, if you use BS for the MSM, we’d know exactly what you’re doing, because not matter what the BS says and does is exactly along the lines of the BS of “antiquity”.

    • The Raven says:

Lysie…yes FOX is going to the dark side….Look here !! Obama on the top and the Tea Party is to blame for the government shutdown

    • lysie says:

Well, isn’t that special! Are these big-spenders paying their fair share or are they back pocketing it to Obama?

Fox news is already on my watch-less list. I watch Cavuto and that’s about it. We are on a 2 week trial with GBTV. So far, I prefer it to Fox. Of course, we listen to Rush when we are able.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Thank you!

We spent quite a lot of time outside yesterday amidst the growing, but still wet grass, the mushrooms, the weeds….but few, very few acorns this year….in years past they would sometimes start falling in Aug….one needed a hard hat by Sept….& by October, they carpeted the yard….but this year? Very, very few…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

My nature note of the day…..

    • lysie says:

I wonder why so few acorns. Do you think it has anything to do with politics? 😉 Was that group defunded? I forgot if it passed.

    • lysie says:

      Sorry Molly I couldn’t resist.

      I didn’t know this:

      Flowering Patterns

Late frosts, droughts and severe winter cold could all affect an oak tree’s acorn crop, even when environmental problems occur before acorns set on the tree. White oaks produce male and female flowers in the spring. If pollinated, the female flowers become acorns by fall. The buds of male blossoms form during spring of the previous year, and the buds of female flowers form late in that summer. One year’s crop actually undergoes two years of environmental risk. Red oak flower buds form on a similar schedule, putting any single red oak acorn crop at risk for three years.

    • The Raven says:

I now think that Main Stream Media or MSM is too high of a label for these brownshirts. So that’s it, I save a letter (from MSM) if I abbreviate brownshirts with BS. Think everyone will understand?

    • lysie says:

In my book…that’s too kind. I fear Fox is getting to be one of them. We have it on for background noise, but their news coverage gets old with ALERTS that are days old.

Ha! Meet the D-Press hasn’t mentioned Cain in the opening. Gregory is talking about Palestine and Israel. BiBi is on now.

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

Elizabeth Taylor’s gem collection on display at Christies A sparkling, tantalizing diversion from politics…

  6. mustknowhistory says:

    Go Herman!!

  7. lysie says:

Thank for the Netanyahu link, Molly. What a difference between Netanyahu and Obama. Netanyahu speak from experience. Obama speaks to hear himself talk.

    • mustknowhistory says:

That is exactly the way to put it.

    • lysie says:

I’m used to the signs. I know a few people in my family who like to hear the way they talk, too. 😉 .

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Earlier we gave a friend a large load of seasoned wood we’d had stored for years. Fortunately, he brought his 10 yr. old son to help too. He was really good at fitting under the shelf in the shed where the wood was stored and putting it on the wheelbarrows we kept moving to the front of the house where we loaded up the back of the pickup.

We were invited to go along and help at the other end too, but declined 🙂

  8. edinva says:

Good morning, all. Thanks for breakfast lysie. Now I can be about my day which is all about getting the car repaired 😦

Rain, rain, and more rain here. At least the reservoirs will be good for a while. Beats drought.

    Hope y’all have a good day/weekend.

  9. tillacum says:

I’m afraid our elected are similar to hollywierds. Though the honoree is a crook and immoral, they gather like lemmings to pay homage to it. It boggles the mind.

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
