America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant-14 months left November 28-December 2, 2011 – Remember 9/11

Both Dems and Rs position themselves following the collapse of the Super Committee and its failure to construct a deal. Who will gain the upper hand of the story line going into Election Year 2012?

Sen. Kyl is signalling that Rs may not support extension of the Payroll Tax “holiday”.

I can’t find the paddle to my bread machine. I looked all week. I know I put it where I could find it. Ha! Sooooo…yesterday I bought a new-ish looking one (very, very clean) at the Thrifty Shopper (Rescue Mission) for $5.99. It didn’t come with a manual, but I found one in pdf form online.

I priced the paddle replacement for my other machine…..$20 plus. I have raisin bread in the new-ish one as I type. It looks good and should be done in about 20 minutes. (fingers-crossed).

    Good morning everyone.
    Sorry for the late breakfast.

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

    Good morning everyone.

Kind of worn out here with a busy week…not sure the weekend will do much to restore me.

Maybe our Friday Follies will tho, now that I think of it…..

I was reading that Stern article in the WSJ yesterday not knowing it was written by a communist. I got about halfway and starter rereading it again and again……yep it said the Chinese were doing great things and here we are in the USA critizing our government with tea party types…then I looked at the author.

Being frazzled must be contagious, Molly. This week, while things have not gone completely wrong, has been frustrating.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Prairie says:

Good morning everybody. We had a wonderful night at the symphony last night, we’re all “Christmas-ed up” and enjoyed an evening of beautiful music.

molly thanks for the links, I’m off to read them and some others now with a 2nd cuppa coffee. Have a great day everybody.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

You have a good day also…glad you’re in the Christmas mood…Ho, ho, Ho!

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

    Mornin’ all

Morning quote (maybe quote of the year)

“Well, then, what the hell are we paying you for? Well, what have you been doing, exactly?”
NJ Gov. Chris Christy after Obama said he knew the Congressional super committee was doomed for failure, so he didn’t get involved

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  8. lysie says:

Reminder to self, don’t rearrange furniture, clean, bake rolls and bread all in one afternoon. Especially…..when trying to do it with a 7 month old pup at my feet. It’s done, but I’m a tad frazzled. Oh and our internet was out for a couple of hours.

  9. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    Good morning everyone.

  14. The Raven says:

Morning all…..not only is Christmas sneaking up on us, but so are the primaries. Will it be Newt v. Mitt? It’s looking like that. Both have some lint in their “left” pockets and neither has a deep, core, conservative, go-to, default setting in their ideology. But, looking for differentiation, I think Newt wins it, and looking for winning the swing voter, I think Mitt grabs it.

    What say ye ATRW ‘ers?

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Rav. I’m going to ponder that for a while.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, I think you stated it pretty well Raven

I might only add a hunch that a Newt Candidacy will depend to a degree or 2 more than a Romney candidacy that 0 continue to fail.

IOW, both candidates, Newt getting a slight edge, need 0’s help to win.

    • lysie says:

Thanks for the start, Molly. I hope you had a nice visit.

    • tillacum says:

I really don’t know, at this moment, I do know both have been on a lot of sides of various programs. Just read the one up above about newt and end of life ideas floating around.
Seems those who are liked by the dc republican “country clubbers” are getting all the news. I just hope and pray we get a president in 2013 who loves America and wants what’s best for her citizens. A strong conservative.

    • Two Thirds says:

I think I am going to support Michele Bachmann against all odds. These 2 are way to liberal. I’m sick to death of this support for who might beat the Muslim, because they might not beat the socialist either. The Muslim will get his $1 BILLION and we should put up our best candidate. It’s very doubtful that we will ever beat this monster. We are on the brink of losing America. Sorry for the pessimism. I’m at my wits end and I am wondering if God will help us or not.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi 2/3rds…It does get depressing, oh yes…

Well, Levin was saying last night things that would support your decision: forget what the media is trying to foist on us, and support wholeheartedly the candidate you think best

    • Two Thirds says:

Hi Lysie. That is one of the reasons I just sent $ to Michele. Levin said to support the candidate who we most support and mine is Michele. She is about as far as opposed to this ARROGANT MUSLIM as it gets, and she will truly work for us, and I believe, more than anyone else, that she will bring America back to our founding.

    • lysie says:

LOL re:Light bulb. I have to admit, I have a few hidden away. Call the cops. 😉

    • tillacum says:

I’ve read quite a few states, including Texas, manufacture the “right kind of” lightbulbs, not those “new” ones corrupting our landfills. I have a few, just in case the corruptors in the epa decide to do away with our factory.
