America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant-11 months left March 5, 2012 – March 9, 2012 – Remember 9/11

Hello!

Was last week a bad week?

Well, yes…the conservative cause lost Andrew Breitbart and James Q. Wilson, 2 different, but very influential men.

And Limbaugh apologized for the terms and tone of a valid argument he was making on the case for personal responsibility. The details and background of this story ore too gory & disgusting for words.

And then those tornadoes stormed through the week. It IS good to see people pulling together in these small ravaged communities, helping one another and planning the future.

Both Romney and Santorum are appearing within miles of each other here in my AO tomorrow…: battleground Ohio.

    Sadly, yes.

  2. The Raven says:

I was on a biz trip Friday…..what did I miss? Is the Marxist still in power?

  3. Jemian says:

    Good morning!

Molly, I think your Operation Save Rush has worked. Have you looked at Carbonite’s stock ticker this week? I heard one report that they are down 33%. I then heard a report that Rush has accepted them back as sponsors. He may have accepted them back; I’m not. I also read some stories about Rush and Sleep Train. It turns out that Sleep Train has been an advertiser on Rush since the early days before Rush went national. It was Rush’s show that saved their bacon when they were struggling. There has been a friendship between the two, the head of Sleep Train and Rush. It has been revealed that when they asked to come back, Rush personally looked at the request and said, no.

I cannot blame him at all.

I told my sister yesterday that if we didn’t get rain today, I would start watering.
    It is raining right now.

    • lysie says:

Good morning , Jem. For years Greg has wanted a Sleep Number bed. No more. They received an email from him stating why.

    • Jemian says:

I cancelled Carbonite Monday AM. Last Wednesday, I took out a subscription as my laptop was crashing. I took it out because they advertised on Rush. I told them in every correspondence why I was cancelling.

  4. Molly Pitcher says:

Very good…our yard has gotten so soggy the past days…I’m sure the rain and warmer temps are working their magic.

Irisis are shooting up…don’t see much going on in the Hosta dept., tho…

  5. Jemian says:

I find it very encouraging when signs of spring burst through the dreariness of winter.

  6. lysie says:

I heard a moment this morning of Beck’s show. He was discussing this, David Barton calling Obama … America’s Most Biblically-Hostile U. S. President. He lists many examples.

  7. lysie says:

Why would anyone bring his daughters in to the Fluke mess? After all, she IS a liar.

  8. queenie says:

Daffs are up a few inches here. Sedum, Hosta, and Resurrection Lilies (naked ladies) are up, too. Chrysanthamums’ new growth is pretty amazing.

  9. Molly Pitcher says:

I’ve just seen the crocuses the past couple of weeks: wonderful bursts of color!

  10. lysie says:

A tiny show of green is peeking from my daylilies.

  11. mustknowhistory says:

We have had spring bulbs coming up since January. They are beginning to take off now.

  12. Molly Pitcher says:

    Still windy here.

Are you seeing some spring bulbs yet? We have a few patches…here and there around the neighborhood.

  13. lysie says:

What a beautiful day we are having today. The temperature is at least 66 degrees with a nice breeze to dry up the yard. I’ve spent most of the day cleaning the spare bedroom, getting rid of over twelve year old documents…..in between that… going outside to enjoy the weather.

    Back to work. BBL.

  14. Molly Pitcher says:

    thanks lysie!

How’re you today? Slow to move myself…

  15. mustknowhistory says:

After the Colts announce later today the release of Peyton Manning, the gnashing of teeth, loud moaning, and rending of garments in Indiana will be heard in all the neighboring states.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I saw that…a surprise, or no?

Saw Jupiter, Venus, the moon of course, and later Saturn last night. Mercury – no way, and Mars…missed that too.

    • mustknowhistory says:

If you see Saturn, then Mars should be easily visible. About 9 pm, Mars is about halfway up from the horizon and very orange. Saturn rises about 2 hours after Mars and is not easily visible until about 11 pm.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I may try again tonite…the trees may have obscured Mars….also, having gone to bed earlier, I was out at 1 a.m. to see Saturn, and didn’t linger!.

My viewing area is fairly limited in certain directions due to tall trees..even when the leaves are off!.

  16. Molly Pitcher says:

And what about Oreo lovers celebrating 100 years!!

  17. Prairie says:

Good afternoon everybody. Checking in here, we had a very good time at the music festival over last weekend. Saw lots of top-level national talent, reacquainted with TX pickers and did a lot of jamming. A good time all around. We are now close to where daughter lives and will see her later this week. Rodeo tickets have been secured for Mr. Prairie’s birthday as well as a Sunday brunch and more jamming in the afternoon at a local rib house who hosts that activity.

The weather is to turn rainy though, so that may persuade us to head on home a week or so earlier than planned…..but that too, would be okay….it has been a nice little break.

Watching the news, trying to catch up. Thanks to all for the links, esp. Molly

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      prairie, everyone

The afternoon has really warmed up. I expect the election here will be close, with Romney winning, but…

I know there’s a sense of being burned out by all the rhetoric and contentious campaigning, but I was reading online some comments about people who caucused Sat. in WA state. There was eager excitement in those accounts: Fresh Troops!

So perhaps we can be more optimistic than we think…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Also…talked with an old friend today: the good news…first time grandma next summer…the bad news…baby will be far, far away in Cambodia where the parents are missionaries…

    • lysie says:

Hi Prairie. All sounds like you are having a wonderful time. Great!

  18. lysie says:

I missed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu address at the AIPAC conference, but I read some of the transcript. We need leadership like that!

  19. lysie says:

Well , to be honest since I have known him.. Greg’s memory hasn’t changed at all. If you get my drift. LOL

  20. Molly Pitcher says:

You know…a good deal of the time, my friends, acquaintances, relatives, and so on are laughing about our failing memory cells…

  21. mustknowhistory says:

Just a reminder that there is a wonderful display of the planets in the evening. Just after sunset, if you look west, you will see Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury (very near the horizon). If you look east you will see Mars. And the moon is there too. All of them are lined up in a row along the ecliptic. Saturn rises around 11 pm near the star Spica.

  22. Molly Pitcher says:

Heading out to vote and exercise…

  23. Molly Pitcher says:

Raven, everyone Did you see this?

  24. Molly Pitcher says:

Liveblogging Rush I missed the first hour, so this may be helpful…

  25. lysie says:

Molly, thanks for the start and links. The first one (Jeffery Lord) nails it.

  26. Molly Pitcher says:
