Health-Care Heads to the High Court: What to Expect

    Fox Business Channel website

I didn’t realize the first thing they’d decide is if they could actually rule on the case THIS YEAR! (sigh…)

  2. Molly Pitcher says:

    The FEDEX Indicator Powerline

Heard about their losses yesterday. glad to see this analysis

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

Oh that does seem like a lot of new stuff to contend with…

We use tax software too…usually no problems really…just the annoyance of several hours gone when it could be so much simpler

  4. lysie says:

Yes. Taxes tomorrow, too. This year is not going to be easy for me to do. I may go to an accountant. The sale of Greg’s parent’s home, Greg’s retirement and other things make it a bit more complicated than usual.

Previously I have used FreeTaxUsa, but for some reason I can’t access my account with them. Strange because I had no problem doing Sarah’s taxes.

I would like to “crunch” the numbers to see how close I am to being correct.

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

Is 0 back in DC yet? He was here in Ohio earlier….

    Good afternoon…Good Friday…

    Happy Tax work tomorrow….ugh…

  6. lysie says:

Good to see you back, ed.

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

I always disliked Greenhouse…intensely….she used to make a lot of tv appearances…

  8. edinva says:

    I got in! Thanks lysie.

TheRaven, I believe there is at least one rally scheduled for tomorrow in DC (same day as the Atheists’ rally) Imagine there will be lots of people outside SCOTUS next Monday-Wednesday. Isn’t it rather extraordinary that a NYT reporter has a firmer grasp of the Constitutional questions on O’care than 27 states’ Attorneys General ??

  9. The Raven says:

Wow…the left has mobilized their advocacy groups to influence the Supremes on OCare…with the usual propaganda — they must sense defeat. The former NY Times reporter (Greenhouse) for the Supreme Court blogged this gem

Journalistic convention requires that when there are two identifiable sides to a story, each side gets its say, in neutral fashion, without the writer’s thumb on the scale. This rule presents a challenge when one side of a controversy obviously lacks merit. But mainstream journalism has learned to navigate those challenges, choosing evolution over “intelligent design,” for example, and treating climate change naysayers as cranks.

Court cases are trickier. It’s one thing to engage in prediction that flows from analysis: which side is most likely to win? It’s quite another to let readers in on the fact that one side’s argument is so manifestly weak that it doesn’t deserve to win.

The left will pressure the judges for a “Social exception” to the Constitution. Pity we don’t have the same type of “Community Organizers” to fight back with. Maybe we can start something.

  10. lysie says:

I went out to give the “boys” carrots and what do I see nearly under hoof? A baby painted turtle no bigger than a quarter. Almost the size of this.

  11. lysie says:

I believe I read that, also. I like him.

  12. Molly Pitcher says:

Major SCOTUS smackdown of EPA Oh thank God for this! Anyone else been following this? I have, and am overjoyed to read this…

  13. Molly Pitcher says:

Have to run, but wanted to post that Bennett just interviewed SEn. Ron Johnson…from WI. What an impressive person…so grounded and understanding of major principles. Gosh! We need many more like him in office.

  14. Molly Pitcher says:

Did I read that Andy Pettitte signed a minor league contract…came out of retirement?

  15. lysie says:

    Good morning.

Ready and waiting. I’ve watched a few spring-games. Fun, but not nearly as much as the season games.

  16. Molly Pitcher says:

Hey, hey!! Are you ready for baseball?

  17. Prairie says:

The President Who Would Be A Pope

This is from the Rush advertiser who went on FoxNews and accused the coordinated anti-Rush attack of the left as being a terrorist effort.

EIB Sponsor Mark Stevens Stands Up to the Left’s Coordinated Attack and is Flooded with Support from You From Rush Limbaugh’s website (hope you can read the whole transcript)

Very uplifting to see the unsolicited support given to Mark Stevens, great reads to end the night on.

    • Prairie says:

Hi Molly thanks for the links. I have to disagree with Fabrizio’s assertions on women’s sufferage. She lost me there. Otherwise, good observations.

      Good evening everybody.

  18. Molly Pitcher says:

Yes…..really, really hurt…but there may be gain in that pain with the Heckler Gal…a useful idiot for our side?

  19. mustknowhistory says:

    Book recommendation:

The Lady in Gold by Anne-Marie O’Connor.

It is the story of a painting, a family, and an era…

  20. lysie says:

    Good morning , Molly.

All three make my hair hurt. 😉

  21. Molly Pitcher says:

    Good morning lysie, everyone

Ok…the Rs are throwing Grandma off the cliff again…Got that??

Any thoughts on the story of Malia Obama spending Spring Break in Mexico with 25 Secret Service agents and assorted 13 year old friends???!!!

And how about that heckler at a Romney speech stating that happiness is free birth control?? Keep heckling baby…her face could join several others as representing the Dem party

  22. Prairie says:

Good evening everybody. Thanks for the links and discussion, I’ve been watching Romney take Illinois… nobody expected that to happen (/sarc!).

Very strange story being reported about Sgt. Bales history as an investor, losing an old couple’s life savings.

  23. Molly Pitcher says:

0 still lying about mother’s insurance coverage Commentary

Does he tell the truth about anything??

  24. mustknowhistory says:

Just heard that the Justice Department is going to monitor today’s primary in Illinois, to make sure everything is fair.

  25. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Slow waking up. BBL

  26. The Raven says:

My new book title…”Debt, Decline and Democrats. “

  27. mustknowhistory says:

Rush Limbaugh has spent a lot of time today talking about the Boehner-Obama debt talks from last summer. If I understood Limbaugh correctly, other news outlets, including the New York Times, are going to write about this, besides the Politico article posted here. And Bob Woodward is writing a book about it. David Corn is also writing about it in his new book.

The questions is why are they doing this??

  28. Molly Pitcher says:

It’s really foggy here this a.m….

well, no rest exactly, but…change of pace from last week…how’s that?

Hope your weekend was a good one…

Back later…listening to Pamela Geller on the radio for a few minutes.

  29. lysie says:

    Good article on Hayes, Molly.

Digs, cut downs and fabrications are so Obama. Some find humor in him. I find none. He’s one sad individual.
