America the Right Way – Staying Vigilant 9 (8) months left – May 19 & 20, 2012 ( Weekend Edition) Remember 9/11

The private company who planned to launch SpaceX has announced that the scheduled launch was postponed due to technical issues. The next launch could be Tuesday.
I’m looking forward to it.

The G-8 summit meetings are being held at Camp David. I wonder how many apologies O will offer. AND doesn’t this take him away from campaign-mode?

lysie sorry about the loss of your dear dog Terri. I know you’ll remember many hours of love and fun with her.

    New thread

  2. lysie says:

After a night of continuous seizures, our dear , sweet , fifteen year old Terri is now at rest. She was a good pup. We all will miss her.

lysie I know it was a huge success…and what a wonderful way to honor your old friend! Excellent….will this be an annual event you think?

    • lysie says:

Yes, Molly. I believe it was a great success. It looked like close to 300 people were there. For a small town area..that’s not bad. There were over 80 donated gift baskets with various themes. That alone brought in big money as they were raffled.

Over the past several months and prior to the benefit we raised over $4,400.00. I’m not sure if it will be an annual event.

Dale would be honored and humbled by it all.

The Big Zero is using that word again….INHERITED. He took this job and said he could fix everything that was broken. And he made it worse. What’s all this inherited bull poop. ??

0’s rhetoric leaves me stunned, depressed and stressed.

Can you hear me screaming??! was a joy to spend time with you last week! So glad we got together, and what a beautiful day it was…the next day, too!…Lovely weather…

House, garden, cat, husband…those items in some order of importance beckoned me home -)

Today was fundraising day nationwide! We were at one too.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

And was yours successful?? Bet it was…

      Lots of catching up today.

You know there used to be at least an effort to keep the site of location of Camp David vague or unknown…no more. At least that’s my conclusion from last week’s news coverage.

    • edinva says:

Molly, glad to see you made it home safely. Now I look forward to our next opportunity to visit. Hopefully this town will have a new, friendlier cast of characters.

Haven’t heard yet how much $ was raised yesterday at the yard/block sale, but it’s been the biggest single fundraiser for the Alexandria home for abused women/children since my gf started it 12-15 years ago . It’s huge and, since donors are for the most part residents of toney Old Town, some of the wares are unbelievable. (tho I do still covet lysie’s $1 Dyson). Could not have been a more perfect day, weather-wise, so hat helps the foot traffic. Don’t mind admitting, tho, that I was glad when it was over.

Missed the Preakness altogether. Did y’all watch it? Heard it was a photo finish with “I’ll have another” enjoying a last stretch burst that put him back in the winner’s circle. Does anyone know how long since there’s been a Triple Crown winner? (roughly forever?)

  6. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. I will be gone parts of the day for Dale’s fundraiser.
