America the Right Way – Staying Vigilant 9 (8) months left – May 26 & 27, 2012 ( Weekend Edition) Remember 9/11

Over 100,000 federal employees may have had some of their personal information hacked.

Sorry for the late post. Greg took me out to breakfast and on the way back home we stopped at a garage sale. He bought a very nice Coleman canoe, oars and life jackets for $100.00. He’s a happy camper…I mean canoer.

This afternoon we took the canoe out on a nearby small lake. Greg rigged it up with a small electric trolling motor. Fun, but I happen to like our 20 foot Starcraft boat much better. It’s all about stability.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      yes, stability! Agree…

we had some strong storms go thru the area n.e. of us…so you were ok in your area?

These storms may have headed s.e. into PA rather that straight east…

Happy Memorial Weekend, everyone!!! Remembering the fallen and those who have served.

    Gonna do ribs tomorrow.

I just realized I have something in common with Elizabeth Warren: I am also 0/32 Cherokee!!!!
Can I now get into Harvard??? 😉

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hey, maybe enough of us conservatives can get in with that background we can convert the whole place. I have a great-grandmother with high cheekbones, too!

Enjoy your ribs: the fixing and the eating!

    • lysie says:

We have owned 2 Cherokees (Jeep that is). Does that count?

  3. lysie says:

Rav, Molly. OK. I’ll have him cut the canoe in portions and send it to Rav, you and others. Of course, that would make it useless. Come to think of it, so does O’s fair share speeches. Useless!!

Anecdotal, feel-good story of the day:

We went to an arts fair today in north central Indiana and ran into an old lawyer/judge acquaintance. He says his brother in Wisconsin says the recall will go Walker’s way and it will not be even close.

The acquaintance went on to say that the fall election will be like 1980 and privately, his democrat lawyer friends are agreeing with him.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Wonderful! Those are great stories to start the day with, and go along with what I’ve written about here, too.

From a commenter at legal Insurrection:

I’m in Fish Creek, WI right now. On the drive here, even through Milwaukee, the pro-Walker signs WAY outnumbered the pro-Barrett signs. We saw no Barrett ads on TV, just Walker ads.

lysie, either you have THE best luck at garage/yard sales or I’m gonna have to shop in CNY. (I’m still green with envy over the Dyson!) Last year our yard sale sold a kayak but it went for $400. It IS a fundraiser, so they do charge more and only bargain in the last hour. Here’s hoping Greg has countless fun hours with his new treasure.

Tomorrow is the 25th Rolling Thunder ride. I am planning to go (as an observer). Did I mention before that back in the late 60’s my then-roommates and I went to the first (or one of the first) anti-war marches on the Pentagon ?? Also as observers, I might add. One of the roomie’s husband was USMC in VN, doing recon. My then-beau was also over there, also a jar head. So we were supportive of the war effort and those who served. No way to describe how poorly they were treated when/if they returned.. Filthy scum then, filthy scum today, as are their ideological heirs who occupy WS.

Enjoying a beautiful day and will have a nice, quiet weekend (‘cept that Rolling Thunder thing, of course!) Possibly we’ll go to a picnic on Monday. #1 Son is coming up from Richmond for that annual event. So should be nice overall.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

    Good going!

We were out early too: cleaning the gutters before it got too hot….
