Hello!

Reporting from the Buckeye State…

Prevented from campaigning in Virginia, Romney has added events in Ohio to his schedule today and tomorrow….

Hannity has cancelled his show from N.E. Ohio which was to be on Tuesday evening.

0 is returning to my fair city Wednesday.

And oh there’s this storm headed inland our way…worst will be Tuesday apparently.

  1. Prairie says:

Molly and everybody, check out the Powerline articles. 25,000 in West Chester OHIO…Molly any idea if this is a GOP or Dem stronghold??

    Here’s the link…..check out Michael Barone’s latest prediction…..can we say “HANDILY”….!

    MULTIPLE POWERLINE ARTICLES

  2. lysie says:

Good for R&R for having the nerve to do that. I hope they draw huge crowds.

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

Can you believe it? the last weekend of this looooong campaign…

Look, this is really something: Romney has a big rally planned for the IX center near the Cleveland Airport on Sunday…this is is Dem territory…in a convention center where you can at least plan on loads of people by reconfiguring the place

And Ryan over in Youngstown Sunday night…again big Dem territory.

  4. Molly Pitcher says:

Hard hitting Las Vegas Review editorial Hotair, with link to the editorial

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

Enjoy The end of the campaign, and a presidency is in sight….

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

We had a nice, but short visit with Sarah. Isabelle is now with us for one week or two. She missed our cats.( They did not miss her LOL) The new cat DOES NOT like her…not one bit.

    • lysie says:

Speaking of Sarah. We are very proud of her. Not only is she working, but she has been maintaining a 90 plus average this first semester in vet tech. That’s my sweetie!!

    • edinva says:

Yay, Sarah! And Isabelle did remember you? Brief as it may have been, it does sound like a great day for your family, lysie.

Jemian, I heard the AL crews were turned down as non-union in NJ only, and were headed out to Long Island? I have a friend who lives out on LI, in Islip, pretty much on the ocean. Have not been able to get thru to her and today’s her birthday. Actually, I have a number of friends who we can’t get thru to who’re scattered around NY/CT. And, I’m assuming the house where we’ve stayed at the Jersey Shore has been seriously impacted. Its’ 3 short blocks from the ocean in a little village 30 miles North of Atlantic City.

So now we hunker down for the nor’easter next week! Wonder how these events will affect turnout on Tuesday?.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh that’s great news on all fronts…You are allowed to be very, very proud!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

A Nor’Easter headed up the east coast next week?

    • Jemian says:

Not only is the nor’easter headed in, but electrical crews to help get things back online were not allowed to work because the crews are non-union. Perhaps that union love will keep those in New Jersey and NYC warm and well-fed.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      hadn’t heard that Jemian…oh my..you doing ok?

      Heading out to exercise

    • lysie says:

ed, not only did Isabelle remember us, but she remembers the chickens, the horses, the cats and the area in our back yard where she found mice.

Sometimes we don’t give animals enough credit.

    • edinva says:

Isabelle is one really smaaaaaart pup. Just like her maw, right ?

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

Benghazi: Drip-drip-drip Jake Tapper….good for him

  8. edinva says:

Safe travels, lysie, we KNOW you will have a wonderful visit.

  9. Molly Pitcher says:

Our passive/aggressive pres is on full display again…

How about those words he used to describe the effort to help the Sandy victims: We will leave no one behind!!! Oh my..

Where were such tough words and actions on 9/11?? No…he was absent that day, and blaming others in the days after for HIS mistakes and delinquincy..

NOW he’s try to make up for it…

He MUST be defeated next Tuesday

  10. The Raven says:

I talked to the owner and they are now attached to the dog and won’t give it up

  11. Molly Pitcher says:

    2’s company and 3’s a …oh never mind. Take the dog home…

  12. Molly Pitcher says:

    Safe travels lysie and Happy
    reunion Day!

  13. lysie says:

What a nice surprise. What kind of dog? I miss having a dog, but we can travel better not having one.

  14. The Raven says:

My wife is in love with this big white dog up the street. Today on my way home the dog was walking down the street keeping a neighbor company. I stopped and chatted and the neighbor told me the owers of the dog don’t really want it…their daughter couldn’t keep it or something.

Maybe I’ll surprise my wife (but we already have two dogs)

  15. lysie says:

Oh! I miss twirling her ears. LOL

  16. Molly Pitcher says:

A concern here….there are a number of close Senate races, and of course it’s key that we produce a solid majority in that body.

Romney cannot possibly implement his agenda with out that.

Yet, yet…in a couple of the debates at least, he used the line he can work across the line…you see what I mean? This is giving those “independents” permission to split their votes. I understand the context of what he said, but really… Too much of that and Romney is defeated even before he’s inaugurated.

That is my concern…does he have the time…I know he has the $$$ to promote an R Senate….does he have the proper understanding to do this??

  17. Molly Pitcher says:

Having intermittent trouble connecting to websites based in NYC…

    Still raining here…

Just heard great Romney ad about the auto industry and it’s future..

Raven The 0/Dem ads have been tapering off…when they do appear , they are nasty

  18. lysie says:

Goodness. I just saw a live video of Lake Erie. Molly, I hope you have power. Take care all my friends in the storm’s path.

    • The Raven says:

I just happened to park in front of the local republican office … So I gave them a$20 and they gave me a yard sign and some good cheer. I bet the zero hq is full of malcontents.

My neighbor has one of those blue Nobama signs and at first glance I thought Oh no!

the had those too, but I went with the Romney Ryan generic. I’m getting psyched now….

  19. Molly Pitcher says:

All this rain is beginning to slow me down like molasses in winter.

Raven you asked about the ads…. many, many of them have to do with energy production and independence. Great to hear and see. Love those Super Pacs!

  20. The Raven says:

Wow…Lucas is making another Star Wars (episode 7)

  21. The Raven says:

I read with interest the VDH piece on why libs think that way. It’s been a side hobby of mine for years and I’ve read many a book in search of the truth. The first modern display was the French Revolution reign of terror me thinks !!!
At any rate, I don’t have an answer, but my hypothesis is forming around what I call the eight deadly sin…..liberalism. Or maybe just a mix of the original seven (pride, greed, sloth, etc)

VDH has some good thoughts at the end.

  22. tillacum says:

    Lovely breakfast, lysie. Thank you.

How is everyone, in the eye of the storm fairing? Those along the coast?

  23. lysie says:

I saw Christie on F&F. He was definitely not happy.

Such a sad thing to evacuate a hospital , but necessary to do it.

  24. Molly Pitcher says:

Oh and the mayor of Atlantic City pulled a “Nagin” by ignoring and encouraging to ignore the evac order..Was Christie ever mad!

  25. Molly Pitcher says:

Did you hear the story of the NYU hospital that had to be evacuated in the middle of the night? Many, many people got involved in that…

  26. Molly Pitcher says:

    Hi all….

Very gusty…hi gusty here all nite, and it continues. Various roads blocked from downed trees

  27. mozartlover says:

    Hi Molly & All,
Have been thinking a lot about Jim (Dog at ATRW) this week; are any of you still in touch with him, and have you heard from him recently? Hoping & praying that he is safe & sound………that storm is a monster!

  28. Molly Pitcher says:

0’s Big reason for going small Stanley Kurtz

Why is 0 so nasty and small? Michael Ledeen

These 2 pieces discuss the 0 we’re seeing now, quite openly. The question is why? I don’t think the 2 points of view are totally mutually exclusive.

0 is both nasty AND horribly going left…I guess I would differ from Ledeen that 0 is undisclipined and “loosing it” in his now-exposed style of politics…no…his true face is clear and he’s calculating is exposing it.

  29. Prairie says:

Dem warning: Obama could lose Wisconsin

The Denver mayor, stumping in WI for O, paints a dire picture of WI early voting. O’s campaign had to run out and basically say the mayor didn’t know what he was talking about.

    BWAHAHAAAA!!

  30. The Raven says:

Those of you in swing states… what are the commercials like??

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Nonstop. But, since yesterday or Sat, I’m seeing a new 1 or 2 at least…

Saturday night it was the one about voting for the Freedom to Succeed…paid for by some businessman who came from Hungary years ago….know which one I mean??

      Freedom to Succeed Political Ad

    • mozartlover says:

They are nonstop. Ev told me…………and I’ve since heard from another source….that the Green Bay WI media market is #1 in saturation as far as TV commercials. Aren’t we lucky. Besides the presidential election, we’ve got Thompson vs. Baldwin for senate. So yeah, nonstop.

O was supposed to be in town today but cancelled so that he could “monitor” Sandy. Aw shucks. 😉

  31. lysie says:

Thanks for the links, Molly. The Alamo at San Antonio de Benghazi link mentions The Town Hall meeting in Clay and Rep. Buerkle. Greg and I wanted to attend that meeting, but we had another commitment. In our local liberal newspaper there was very litle mention of that meeting , however, when Gov. Cuomo stumps for Buerkle’s opponent , Dan Maffei, the paper show its bias as one reader states:

    marat: Let’s do a media check…

The brief stop by Andrew Cuomo at a small and closed event for Maffei is now up to 3 “stories” (and counting)…
The town hall meeting in Clay, open to the public, where Ursula Rozum and Buerkle take the peoples’ questions gets no coverage. None at all.

    Hmmmmmm, now isn’t that curious?
In fact, after that first town hall, featuring the embarassing Maffei empty chair, I don’t recall any seeing coverage of these events….
    Your bias is showing. Again….

  32. Molly Pitcher says:

    Have to get going…back later.

    Be safe everyone

  33. Molly Pitcher says:

Listening to Bing West talk about Benghazi with clarity and intelligence…

in a nutshell: now 0 says on the campaign trail that 0 is claiming he gave the order that ALL effort must be made to come to the aid of the personnel at Benghazi AS SOON AS HE HEARD.

So…there would be a paper trail of this order…is there? If not, 0 is lying…

IF he did give it, then Sec Def or some other person defied the President’s order…

    Which is it??

  34. lysie says:

    Thank you, Molly.

Jem, congratulations to JT and his proud family. Please thank him for me.

  35. Molly Pitcher says:

    Lovely, lovely

  36. Jemian says:

The way I read your opening, the worst will be Wednesday and the weather will be awful on Tuesday.

Prayers up for those affected by the storm.

  37. Molly Pitcher says:

We very much lift up in prayer our neighbors and friends to the east along the coast and wherever this storm hits…and those rescue people who will no doubt have plenty of work to do…utility people and other emergency personnel.
