America the Right Way – Staying Vigilant January 26 and 27, 2013 ( Weekend Edition)

Good morning!

It was a BIG DEAL yesterday when D.C. Circuit of the Federal Appeals Court ruled that 0 had gone too far, unconstitutionally too far, in bypassing the Senate a year ago to appoint 3 members to the NLRB. The imperial presidency rand into a roadblock.

Reports indicate a WH/Senate agreement on immigration reform has been reached and will be announced next week. Are you optimistic about this??

    Good morning everyone.

How much should we spend on climate change in order to have no effect on climate change?

How much money do we have?

Raven, IF Obama & Co insist on fiddling with 2A they should also restrict 1A. When there’s been a mass murder, usually the perp(s) are male(s) who come from the white middle to upper middle class, They want attention, even posthumously. Deny them that attention/fame/notoriety.

If we’re to deny ordinary citizens their right to bear “assault weapons.” then the press should be denied the right to cover the shooting until the official investigation is concluded. Such a restriction would deny the perp the attention he seeks and thus might serve as a deterrent. It also saves the public from phony stories and false rumors while tamping down hysteria. Pols might similarly be denied microphones in the aftermath of any such incident until after a full investigation.

It might well be argued that these mass murders have only grown sine we’ve have 24/7 cable news. Let’s stop that.

No one of us should give up on the 2nd Amendment….no one in Washington has that authority…that’s the issue

    • edinva says:

Well,I guess I should take my tongue out of my cheek. Obama, the MSM, etc have absolutely NO problem looking to restrict 2A rights; but just try to mention restricting 1A, much less coupling that with restrictions on 2A. Constitutional rights restrictions, their promotion and acceptance, depend entirely on whose ox is being gored.

Well, I was in such a good mood, really…until, until….I just checked HotAir, and there I found a photo, & headline about DiFi’s list of banned weapons event, and lo and behold what does the headline say?? That her bill would exclude federal officials from her ban…but that’s not all that’s disturbing.

The photo of her from the other day, holding one of the banned weapons, shows quite clearly her d*&)$$ finger on the blasted trigger! A definite no-no, unless she’s about to pull the trigger in the crowd she’s in! I take it that’s not the case, so that tells me – once again – what a stupid joke she is and her whole blasted campaign, too!

Heaven please deliver us from these sanctimonious idiots. I better go drink some calming tea….

Good morning,Molly, All … and I can sure use that breakfast, lysie. Thank you.

Molly, I saw that some unofficial WH mouthpiece said the USCA-DC decision was absolutely correct; however, it was the incalcitrant Republicans that FORCED Obama to take the unconstitutional action. We can expect to hear that narrative throughout the weekend and on into eternity. If this decision holds at SCOTUS, every action/decision of the NLRB since those appointments will be null and void. Same with that new Consumer Protection agency or dept.

This past week was bitter cold for here. Temps in single digits, with indexes coming close to 0. We in the mid-Atlantic are not used to that. Warming today into the 30s! .We had @ 2″ of snow Thursday morning and an equal amount forecast for yesterday afternoon. Nary a flake did we see. To be truthful, I was disappointed.

Sorry to disappoint, but we have NO plans for the weekend. After a month of Christmas, New Years, anniversary, sons’ birthday, husband’s birthday, miscellaneous catch up lunches with friends (and, of course, the Inauguration), I plan to have just a quiet weekend at home. And,I may even do some housework. Well, maybe. Over the weekend I plan NOT to listen to talk radio. Never watch TV. Just going to listen to music. Country, I think.

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    Thanks for the start, Molly.

    Another brrrrr morning, minus 6.

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

I hope everyone has some good plans for this last weekend (!!) in January.
