America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- February 4, 2013- February 8 , 2013 Remember 9/11

The Ravens beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl. They are reporting that it was the longest Super Bowl ever. I would imagine that is because of the 30 minute blackout delay of game.

Obama is on a campaign tour to get more support for his gun grabbing. As he does that The Department of Homeland Security is grabbing billions of rounds of ammunition.

Oh and gasoline prices are on the rise.

One of the best Super Bowl commercials.

  1. lysie says:

    Welcome back, Molly.

  2. lysie says:

Nobody sneeze. I may be online for a while.

  3. lysie says:

Sorry folks. Internet connection problems. Hope to have it permanently resolved soon.

    • lysie says:

Hahaha! I love that. Nice one , Dr. and bless you for standing up for what is right.

    • edinva says:

      Molly, welcome back!

Molly and lysie: Years ago one of my sons was at Hopkins for a couple of months. We met a family whose little girl was being treated by Dr Carson. She had to return to the hospital every year for him to operate on her skull, to enlarge it to contain her brain. Her brain continued to grow but her skull never did The girl had pain every day of her life. Dr Carson was a Miracle Worker. It was always amazing to watch the dynamic in the hospital. The staff basically worshiped him and yet he was low-key and unassuming. His life story is positively amazing.

    • lysie says:

Your post is very encouraging, ed. We need more Dr. Carsons not just as doctors , but everyday people.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks for that extra info ED I’ve read about him before…probably Christian Science Monitor which I used to have access to, and it always had excellent across the board articles…

    • lysie says:

Haven’t you heard? They are buying all the ammo so they can sell it to the 2nd amendment supporters at a discounted rate. Kind of like what they do for certain privileged banks , mortgage companies, college students, etc.

That’s the ticket!! (Is a /s really necessary here? )

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      THAT is funny!

  4. Molly Pitcher says:

Hello! Back in time for Friday Frolics…

lysie Glad to read you are staying in tonite…Do take care this weekend…Thanks for the week’s start. Had fun, but am glad to be back.

  5. The Raven says:

Lysie…..Looks like one of those storms coming that Chair would label a 5 toilet paper storm — are you getting 1-2 feet???

  6. lysie says:

Confirmation hearing today for John Brennan as CIA director. If confirmed Brennan said water boarding will never again be used. Also, when asked if it’s all right to kill Americans on US soil he said “we need to explain the processes” to the people.

What? Will it be we will count to ten and then kaboom?

Personally, I think that is destroying evidence. Waterboarding makes the terrorists give information…perhaps.

    Once again, define terrorist, please.

    • tillacum says:

Time to grow our own, preserve what we have and buy from Road Side Markets for what we need. We have NO IDEA what this fellow has put into our government. When we rid our government of him, we’ll have to work like beavers to remove his followers from every department he’s placed them in. I just wish we had some republican leaders with a good strong backbone. Unfortunately the 2 leaders have been playing nice to democrats too long.

  7. lysie says:

NAPOLITANO: Obama demands unquestioning acceptance of his ability to kill Outrageous!!!

    From the Judges article.

The quoted phrase is extracted from the memo, which claims that the law reposes into the hands of any unnamed “high-level official,” not necessarily the president, the power to decide when to suspend constitutional protections guaranteed to all persons and kill them without any due process whatsoever. This is the power claimed by kings and tyrants. It is the power most repugnant to American values. It is the power we have arguably fought countless wars to prevent from arriving here. Now, under Mr. Obama, it is here.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

Drones, military pay cut, ObamaCare mandate that restaurants provide nutrition information on menus. What next? Telling us what kind of toilet tissue we must use?

    • tillacum says:

lysie, no toilet tissue, he will want us like his muslim brothers……….He and soros want to rule the world and the only way to do that is destroy America’s Ideas and laws.

  9. The Raven says:

In Argentina they are threatening to jail economists who disagree with the party line. Obama can’t do that because his main critics are dead (Friedman, Hayek)

  10. lysie says:

    Remembering and honoring you, sir.

  11. The Raven says:

Good Voter Fraud article – note that the Dems are trying to sway the upcoming Supreme Court decision.

  12. lysie says:

Rav, I hope your water problem is taken care of with no annoyances.

    • The Raven says:

Just read the back of my bill. IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 20 DAYS LATE YOUR SERVICE WILL BE DISCONTINUED. …they also have fines. My bill was $34 last month and with late fees it is now $75 (which I just paid online) and add to that the hotel this morning of $95

      All for an innocent mistake.

    • lysie says:

And that is why I don’t want a water supply system in our area. Our well water tests fine everytime. The township next to ours has a water district. If our town offers it I don’t want it and I will go to many meetings to stop it. If others want it …fine. Not me. As it is, our property tax includes a county water tax. Fine. I don’t want their water.

    • queenie says:

I’m with you there, lysie. Don’t want anything to do with “city” water.

    • lysie says:

Hi queenie. We watched them put water lines in another town. In one spot the lines are about 50 feet away from a water treatment plant and a filthy river. Most of the people in that area don’t drink the water because of that. They buy bottled water.

  13. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  14. The Raven says:

ARGH…got home and found there is no water. Then it dawned on me that I hadn’t seen a water bill in a while. A little digging on the pile on the desk and there it was — due Jan 20th,

Those buggers turn the water off rather than send you a reminder.

    • lysie says:

      Ack! That’s terrible.

    • edinva says:

Did you hear that the Ravens lost the Lombardi Trophy while they were out busy celebrating ? Can you imagine? Some good soul found it and returned to them.

I thought the utilities were bound by whichever commission(s) control monopoly utilities to send a reminder before discontinuing service. I think their goal is to get everyone on auto pay.

    • The Raven says:

At the top of the bill it says – this is the only notice you will get. I remembered day one with these people….some woman read me the riot act if I broke the rules. There were so many—I just gave her an extra $100 just in case. I had a credit for the whole summer.

  15. lysie says:

Regarding drone strikes on US citizens , I would like to have the O administration define terrorist operatives…in layman terms. Surely that wouldn’t include law-abiding 2nd amendment supporters. /s

Obama admin: Drones can target Americans abroad based on one official’s opinion– Hot Air-Ed Morrissey

  16. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  17. The Raven says:

    Inquiring minds want to know:
1)Why is Homeland Security dumping the full body scanners? Perhaps they found the radiation isn’t as safe as they thought? They’ve been unpopular from the get-go so that isn’t it….
    2) I wonder if there is data on increasing gun violence with increasing attention on the news. In other words….can the White House stimulate the nuts just by constantly talking about it? Do they know they are not “saving just one life”?

    • tillacum says:

I personally think, he keeps campaigning about gun control, until our elected come around to his way of thinking. Register all gun owners.

    • edinva says:

Rav I have suggested before that the 24/7 exposure/attention the crimes garner is part of the attraction for the deranged. It’s as if there’s a contest to outdo the last guy because anything at the same level or less wouldn’t get the attention.. So I’d proffer to POTUS and other gun grabbers that combined with their effort to restrict 2A, they similarly restrict 1A and not allow media coverage of these big hideous crimes. See how far they’d get with that with their buddies in the MSM.

    • The Raven says:

Interesting – they don’t have the power to regulate guns – so the proper action is to propose an amendment to the Constitution – not DiFi’s unconstituional law – yet what are they doing ??

  18. The Raven says:

I bought a Dodge RAM 1500 on Friday. Good commercial

  19. Prairie says:

We will be leaving on a jet plane in the AM. Will try to check in as able. Take care everybody.

  20. lysie says:

Major cyber breach at the Department of Energy? Hot Air – Erika Johnsen Hmmm! Tip of iceburg for more gov’t control?

    • tillacum says:

I think you’re right. Just walked by the tv and there was der ruler expounding about something. It looks like he’s still in campaign mode, this time, hubby said was about controlling guns.

  21. edinva says:

The Dodge Ram ad seems to have been the overall fav (excluding the Clydesdales that always are the #1 fav). I didn’t watch any of it, but caught posts at miscellaneous sites and didn’t see one that was positive about the halftime show. Not one. I haven’t watched either SB or its halftime show in at least 5 years. I know, I know, that’s un-Amercan.

Have a good day, all. Temps are supposed to climb as the week advances. Re.ady for some warmth, like in the 40s

  22. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

We watched the second half of the Super Bowl in the VA emergency. We took Dad there for a pain he was having. He’s now home and doing well. Thank goodness.

    • tillacum says:

Sorry to hear your Dad had a pain, but happy to hear he’s ok, now. I fell asleep for some of the 2nd quarter, but woke up for the power outage and the rest of the game. I thought the half time show was a little frantic.
