America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- May 27 – May 31, 2013 Remember 9/11

Hello!

As President 0 announces the War on Terror is over – perhaps only in his mind? – Republicans are digesting and beginning to criticize the new policy’s outlines.

In France, another stabbing attack on a soldier, and in Sweden Muslim youths have been rioting & destroying property and cars and so on, unimpeded all the past week.

But this is Memorial Day, and take a few minutes to remember someone..an uncle, grandfather, father or brother ,old family friend…who gave his life for his country.

McClatchy: IRS targeting of conservatives may go beyond tax-exempt applications

House investigators will interview four Internal Revenue Service employees over the next two weeks, POLITICO has learned.

The House Ways and Means and Oversight committees hope the four front-line employees from the agency’s Cincinnati office will help lawmakers better understand how the IRS targeting of conservative groups first began

TGIF everybody, thanks for the thread and links. Keeping an eye on the news radar for Oklahoma again….!

  3. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Headed out for a couple hours. I should be back for the afternoon party, Rav. 😉

    It’s HOT!!

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

the Killer EPA this was predicted…

    • tillacum says:

The epa is a group of non-elected employees who make laws that, for the most part, are not for the betterment of America. This department should be removed and let these people make their own money and not use our tax money.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Prayers indeed, Jemian keep us updated as much as you can, ok??

    • Jemian says:

Thank you so very much. I don’t have any more details at all. Last night JT said the incident had recently happened and he couldn’t say any more, perhaps later. I saw no mention of this in the news, but then again, I literally just got up and so maybe haven’t looked in the right places yet. We ended the conversation last night by JT saying he had to get offline as he had been ordered to get some sleep. I had to smile. I used to order him to get sleep, too.

    • Jemian says:

Thank you so much for praying. The injuries sustained by our side were not as severe as first thought. The bad guys are suffering.

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  8. Molly Pitcher says:

WHOA! lysie. tornado warning to the west of you!!!

    • lysie says:

We lucked out, Molly. Thanks for the warning. We watched from our basement. It was fast moving with no damage here.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

That was some storm that crossed NY state. Glad you’re ok…no more such strange happenings over there, ok?! As if that’s going to happen with all the weird politics…

Anyway, none of the violent weather is troubling us..

  9. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  10. mustknowhistory says:

I agree with Podhoretz. We nearly died laughing last night as we watched the Fox all stars last night. Holder had a creeping sense of remorse as he read the Washington Post describing his own actions…..gimme a break..

They must think we are real stupid.

Came very close to getting a very strong t storm, but it skirted us to the n. Been awhile since I saw the sky in daytime that dark

  12. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

OK! We got some much needed rain! Supposed to warm up today, too..

    • Molly Pitcher says:

You ok this a.m.? Back later…errands and so on, but I’m shortening my list of things to do I think

    • lysie says:

How did you know? Ha! I pulled a muscle in my lower back and rib area. Greg did something to his knee and is using a cane. We make a great couple. Ha!

I must say that I am improving a bit, but I won’t no for sure until the Aleve wears off.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

What would we do without painkillers and heating pads?? Ice bags too!

Take care both of you…it takes longer and longer each spring to get the muscles going to “full” capacity, and longer and longer each day to get going…and once I get going..well, that optimum mode is shorter and shorter! Good grief!

    • lysie says:

Molly, my pain is due to my stupidity. I was trying to motivate Greg with the barn organization sooooo…I started moving 12 foot roof trusses that were stored in the area in the barn that the tractor will go.

      Can we say “stupid lysie…stupid?”

    • edinva says:

lysie, so sorry to read you’re in pain … both of you, no less. Back pain is horrible so I hope the aleve works till it passes.

  13. lysie says:

    Excellent links, Molly. Thank you.

Sometimes I wish there was not a three day weekend for Memorial Day and others. For some, it tends to devalue the true meaning of the day.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good point lysie

I’ve been able to listen to large sections of Bennett’s and Prager’s shows today…live as usual on Memorial Day, and inviting callers to give names of the Fallen…they are honored and remembered…some of the callers break down as they give the info…a dearly loved son…a devoted friend…a buddy dying in his arms on the battlefield…tears come and go…

  14. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly.

Once again, I remember the true meaning of Memorial Day. Thanks, Gramp, for teaching me and others.

  15. Molly Pitcher says:

    Good morning all…

What’s this about San Antonio flooding catastrophe?? Some days I just don’t hear all the news…

    How about this story?

You’re invited to a party….you walk up to the door of the house, knock, and enter. Then you’re greeted by a large dog who bites you, and a couple who inform you you’re at the wrong house…next door is where you want to go…YIKES That’s what happened yesterday to a colleague of my husband’s…And he was seriously bitten, too.

Talking about this later, my husband and I thought this might happen more often than we think…entering the wrong the house, not necessarily bitten by dog…

  16. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

“… a sloppy neglect on your part to check the facts before charging us with a serious academic ethical infraction” and “an unfounded attack on our academic and personal integrity.” The debt and GDP data, they said, have been available on their website since 2010.

    – Harvard economists Kenneth Rogoff and Carmen Reinhart in a letter response to a NY Times book review by Princeton economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman additionally accusing him of “spectacularly uncivil behavior” .

    • edinva says:

Till, when you think back a few years, the most liberal country in all of Europe (in terms of accepted behavior) was the Netherlands. Then a Muslim slaughtered Theo vanGogh and the country’s attitude turned on a dime. Hopefully the UK and France join them. Swedes also seem to have had it. One problem today is that there’s little left to shock anyone, we’ve just been ground down. And the US, formerly the world’s dominant country and only super power, now has an ineffectual, inexperienced, hopelessly empty suit occupying the Oval Office.

  17. edinva says:

Europe may be experiencing an awakening, at long last. UK has designated the massacre of Drummer Rigby an act of terror. France is considering a similar designation for the attack on its soldier in Paris. Now if only the USA would wake up, we might get somewhere. But we have a POTUS who thinks of these attacks as crimes and workplace violence rather than acts of terror..

    • tillacum says:

I think the West can be pushed only so far, then they push back. At least that’s the way it used to be. Hopefully America’s protecting them all these years has not softened their resolve to be who they are and not newcomers wish to change them.

    • tillacum says:

May I add, I think the West has become too PC, it’s time we call a muslim a terrorist, and treat them as such. All of them! When one keeps silent when they know of a crime, they are helping the criminal.
