Marines are headed to the Phillipines where thousands are missing or dead amid terrible destruction from last week’s typhoon,

and the U.S. is committed to keeping up the pressure on Israel, yes , Israel in order to get a deal with Iran on its nuclear program.

There is something wrong with this picture, as they say….

  1. lysie says:

Soon we will be headed out to a different American Legion for fish dinners and music by the Monday night group. Sunday there will be a benefit for Eric at our usual Friday night Legion.

Have a great night, folks. See you in the morning.

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Oh nice and seasonal!

The ignorant omniscience of 0 HotAir

    • Molly Pitcher says:

We had dinner last night with a friend….we catch up with her a couple of times a year…in between, emails…But she told us about being very sick last July.

She’d gone out walking with her group, then had to excuse herself to return home because suddenly she just didn’t feel right. Went home, lay down, and by the end of the day was in the step-down ICU with bacterial pneumonia and septis. Treatment went well but it took her 2 months to get her energy back.

She was told that if you are 65 + and have a fever, take it seriously and check in with the doctor. It’s significant. Something to remember……

    • mustknowhistory says:

I read that blog by Mary Katharine Ham early this morning and thought it was brilliant…ignorant omniscience.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, mkh She made some excellent points, providing insight along the way to His Strangeness.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Forgot to add….Lockheed is cutting 500 jobs here. Certain others relating to the Airdock, will remain.

I always think of the ripple effect to the economies when such announcements are made…

  3. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

“I’m LeBron, baby, I can play on this level. I got some game.”
    – Obama before his 2004 Convention speech

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote #2

He knows exactly how smart he is.… He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability — the extraordinary, uncanny ability — to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never been challenged intellectually. … He’s been bored to death his whole life. He’s just too talented to do what ordinary people do.”
      -Valerie Jarrett

      Morning quote #3

Obama claimed he didn’t know about the bugging of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, or about the National Security Agency snooping on other allied leaders and tens of millions of foreign citizens, or about the Fast and Furious gun-running debacle, or about the facts surrounding the attack on the American outpost in Benghazi, or about the flaws with the ObamaCare website, or about the IRS holding up tax-exempt applications of tea party groups prior to the 2012 election…. “I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this.”
      Ralph Reiland

    • The Raven says:

      Morning Quote #4

One of the books on Chappaquiddick describes how the Kennedy brain trust gathered at the family compound in Hyannis Port to plot a strategy to salvage Ted Kennedy’s career. One person conspicuously absent from the conclave was Teddy himself. He was on the beach, flying a kite. The family’s advisers considered him too stupid to make any contribution to saving his own skin. Is that how senior members of Obama’s administration treat him? Is he considered a useless fifth wheel?
      JOHN HINDERAKER

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote #5
      – So now that more people know he’s incompetent and deceitful – the task ahead of us is to bypass him and save ourselves from the ticking time bombs……Iran, the debt, and the Constitutional crisis.
      – Me !!!!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Quite a collection of quotes….

I’ve been thinking along the lines or your own statement 5….after all, we have 3 more years of this crowd. What’s the plan??!!

If ever there was a need for leadership from the Rs this is it..

    • Molly Pitcher says:

What obligation do every day citizens and businesses have to follow the law when the President fails to do so himself?
What then falls between the government and the citizens? If the law is ignored that only leaves the raw power of the state.

    • lysie says:

Wonderful quote by that “me” person . 🙂

Our president is a liar…our reps are not far behind…they have forgotten “We the People”. We need to remind them. Write..call..attend.

  4. lysie says:

Sheesh! Sorry that I didn’t comment on the good news that your cat is eating better and gaining weight. Yay! It hit me when I was cleaning litter boxes. I can think clearly when cleaning litter boxes and stalls. No one bothers me. LOL

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

    0’s presser……oh my….

Some wag posed the question “was Obama for the cancellations before he was against them? I’m still not sure….”

    • mustknowhistory says:

I have never in my life seen such an (expletive deleted) awful mess. Even the usually sanguine hubby has begun to scream at the TV set.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Uh oh….he’ll calm down eventually, I hope…

(Cue Scarlett O’hara’s voice) I just love the discomfiture of that lyin’, deceivin’, hateful Party…

    • mustknowhistory says:

Another wrinkle. At least one state insurance commissioner will not allow the reinstatement of those policies:

      http://www.komonews.com/news/local/State-rebuts-Obama-plan-to-allow-old-health-insurance-policies-231949931.html

    • mustknowhistory says:

Apparently the Arkansas state ins. commissioner also rejects the plan.

    • lysie says:

I missed the presser. Thank goodness I did.

Obama can’t fix anything. Why? Because he hasn’t had a job that included any fixing….just delegating. His resume consists of BS positions.

I think I mentioned this a long time ago. I used to work at a paper plant where some supervisors had the same attitude as O. They would come to work late…take multiple coffee breaks…strut around the floor trying to look important….and go home early. They had NO clue! There were monthly “brain-storming meetings”. At those meeting NOTHING was accomplished. Several times I put my 2 cents in as to how the plant could run more efficiently and was told to shut up.

A few years after I left the plant went out of business. Told them so.

BTW, to this day I can’t stand the term “brain-storming”. My skin crawls when I hear it.

  6. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. I overslept. The animals are not happy.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      That egg dish!

Well if you overslept, you probably needed it.

    • tillacum says:

Someone took a bite out of the top hotcake. Looks good.

Good Morning lysie and Everyone. OH it is nice a cool in central Texas. It’s 40 degrees on the patio.

Checked my keyhole garden yesterday, the 30 ? degree early morning got the pansies.
Garlic is 6 inches and growing, cabbage and cauliflower are looking good.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks till. It’s nice to hear about gardens as December approaches…

    • lysie says:

      Hello ladies.

Molly, I may have to try that egg dish someday. I does look good.

Till, the sun is out today and it is a tad warmer than the last few days. Still…chilly..no COLD. Ha!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Thank you, thank you prairie

Mornin’ everyone…a funny article to wake up to over at the American Spectator: 0 is so mad at the French, that it’ll soon be “goodbye to the Statue of Liberty”…..a la the bust of Churchill

Made me laugh…kinda cause I can pretty easily imagine 0 at this point telling his aides ” get that blasted statue out of NY harbor and send it back!”

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

It’s ugly House Dems vs White house

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  9. Molly Pitcher says:

    Oh! Today is 11. 12. 13

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  11. tillacum says:

As I posted yesterday, “I’m upset”. I’m upset with the kind of people we elected to protect this country and what she stands for. Instead, they seem interested only in their next election and how much power and money they receive. They don’t seem to see or care what his happening to our constitution, or our Declaration of Independence. I’ve read over 139 Flag and General officers have been removed from service in the first 5 years of Obama’s reign and this year, so far, 50 more. This last one is the Battalion Commander of Infantry Forces in Japan, and is being replaced by a woman, Joy ????, who has NO Infantry training or experience.
First the military leadership is being removed, then an area of 1/6th of our financial status, thru obamacare.
George Soros has hated America throughout his life, he removed Hillary from running in 2007, and
replaced her with Obama. He did this by freezing his political money from Hillary and moving it into the coffers of Obama. Through Obama, George is steadily removing America from any world status
with a duffus for president, a complete political Marxist, and ruining the rest of our manufacturing base then our finances.
If only we had more people like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and a few others I think we would be able to
overcome the situation we’re in now. At this moment we have no one on the horizon for the presidency, we need to replace some of the “old timer Rs” with Americans who care about America and not their station in dc. Rant over.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks till…..you mentioned a smelting operation yesterday.

When I was a girl living between Galveston and Houston ..in that area of refineries and chemical plants, I remember the smelting plant too for its strong smells. It had to bother people no doubt, but I wonder too…I took it all for granted, but the grownups…well it meant jobs and prosperity in those post wars….despite the smells, I’m thinking those plants were appreciated, hope so anyway

    • Prairie says:

Tillacum, I agree with everything you’ve said. It’s very hard to watch the nation fall from glory. Power does indeed corrupt. Most of our politicians are soooo farrr away from being in touch with godly principles….or even with God himself…..that they behave in the ways of the world. Hence, we have what we have. Good morning all.

  12. Molly Pitcher says:

    American dishonor

I will try to find and post some good news later….

  13. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  14. lysie says:

Thanks for he start, Molly. Have a nice night.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, yes…blessings and honor to all the Vets….of whom my husband is one….he’s just off to a day full of activities downtown, and elsewhere.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

There are just times when this whole 0Care mess and beyond…the whole regime…makes me want to explode…you know what I mean? I had calmed down somewhat after last year’s election, then this came along.

It’s the destruction of peoples’ lives and security that gets to me…the wanton destruction, AND the failure to truly help those who needed it in the first place…to find better ways to help those chronically dependent on the government, etc. Now we’ve just added to that group unnecessarily, very unnecessarily, it seems to me.

    • lysie says:

Yes, Molly. I agree. I get very upset, calm down , then get upset again. While I haven’t given up completely and NEVER will , I do get weary.
