America the Right Way – Staying Vigilant November 23 and November 24, 2013 ( Weekend Edition)

When is a game not a game? Could it be when someone punches an innocent person from behind? NO! That’s assault. Pure and simple. Where is O on these intentional knockouts?

Everyone please be aware of your surroundings!

On a lighter note. Happy Birthday to Greg. For breakfast I serve him waffles with melted butter, hot maple syrup and sausage…all on a warmed up plate. It’s spoil Greggy day. Ha!

We have an opportunity to paint the Dem brand as liars. I hope we use it constantly. A healthy “YOU LIE” at their speeches will be effective. Maybe some billboards?

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

G’day/eve,all. Happy, happy birthday to Greg.
We will be doing our new Thanksgiving tradition of co-habitating through the long weekend with extended family; ours, our son-in-law’s and now his sister’s new in-laws… and a loose relative here and there, plus — super exciting — the new (as of July) baby who will be making his maiden voyage to the US. I believe the number is now up to 20. This year our destination is Bethany Beach, DE after we’ve had a more traditional holiday meal in MD with dh’s brother and his family. En route to that dinner we will run by Dulles airport to pick up dear daughter who will be returning from London. Whew!
This is brought to mind, lysie, because each subgroup has been assigned responsibility for a different meal and yours truly pulled Saturday breakfast. Just GUESS what we’ll be making? Waffles, of course! I can hardly wait. I had suggested to son-in-law team member that maybe we should prepare alternative pancakes for those who might not like waffles. His response was “they’re all French or Belgian, waffles it will be!”
I would ask if y’all think of it,to say a prayer for dh who is having a biopsy Monday morning. As if that isn’t enough to think about, yesterday we got a notice from Humana that our local hospital will no longer be accepting Humana,(among others) effective March ’14.. In all of Northern VA, so far as I know, there is exactly one hospital that is not part of the system that is about to decline our insurance. I can’t imagine the overload that hospital is about to experience, assuming it will accept Humana and the others the INOVA hospital system is dropping. Thank you, President Obama.
Tonight we have our first hard frost but, alas, no s*** in sight. How are you doing on that front, lysie and Molly?

    • lysie says:

      Prayers up, ed.

Wow! What a busy Thanksgiving you will have.

First snow of the season we have. I would say a couple inches with more coming.

    • edinva says:

Thanks, lysie. Molly, Interesting week ahead on so many fronts, that’s for sure. Thankfully, dd’s sil no longer works at the Capitol Food Bank so we won’t have to hear again how cool and exciting it was to have the Obama Family drop by Thanksgiving-eve for their annual photo op. I am getting so hateful!!

What do we know about the deal with Iran? Anything JFinK conjures certainly instills confidence, doesn’t it?

It was encouraging to read that Rev Al has come out and condemned the “KnockOut Game” (if not ID’ing its perps) Guess the “game” will now come to an end, so powerful is the Rev. Right?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

ED what a joyful report on your family gathering….not so much on the health insurance front…Just so discouraging. And of course it is a story repeated now around the country.
      Welcome to 0bamaWorld!
Your description of the meal arrangements reminds me so much of the DC event we go to every year. I like getting “my” meal over with at the beginning of the week. Remember your Thanksgiving time there?

Yes, we got a blast of light **** yesterday, and much, much cold air yesterday.
ended up working on a family project that took awhile to sort out, but in the end: success, I think. Will get back to you on that final report.

Krauthammer on the Iran deal. When the French call it a sucker deal, you know just how bad it is.

  4. lysie says:

Thanks for the links, Molly. Thank goodness I understand Steyn’s sarcasm. No matter how true it may be, I don’t like using “if it was a white person doing the knockout” . I would rather say “Do unto others….”. It really is quite simply to understand.

Quotes: [Presidents out of power on the Presidents in power]

I don’t think it’s good for the country to have a former president criticize his successor,

    Geo. W Bush

I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

    Whoa, whoa, whoa!

Happy Birthday to Greg! Enjoy the day hugely!

  7. lysie says:

    Earlier from Rav…much earlier. 😉

    Morning Quote:

It was always about power — gaining it and keeping it for the Democratic party and the central government. It was based on lies about the preceding system and sold on lies about its consequences.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • tillacum says:

Thank you for such a beautiful breakfast. I may fix that tomorrow.

The knock-out “game”. It’s probably been in the making since 2009 or shortly after he captured our whitehouse. I think that sort of thing has to be taught, because it has to be done “just right” in the right spot.
