America the Right Way – Staying Vigilant March 8 , 2014 and March 9 , 2014 (Weekend Edition)

So sad. A Boeing 777 has disappeared on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. On it were 239 people, including three or four Americans. Prayers for those people, their families and friends.

This weekend is Daylight Savings for many of us. Spring forward.

Four possibly flew with false ID aboard missing Malaysia Airlines plane

EdinVA, it looks like the story about the fake ID’s has legs.

Good afternoon all. Still sneezing here so I skipped church this morning. Watched a couple of very good sermons on Sunday morning Christian TV. One show was called something like “Church for Shut-Ins”.

    Yep, that’s me….:)

    • lysie says:

What a nice story. Thanks, Molly.

OK. I have decided that, yes, I like chocolate , but I love , love, love cinnamon sugar much better. 😉

  2. lysie says:

Turn on the speakers. It’s in Russian but that doesn’t matter.

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

While we never really know what goes on in someone’s head, I say it was murder.

    • tillacum says:

It’s hard fro me to believe these fellows would deliberately take drugs. They’ve been
exposed to them before, probably many times. They are, also, too proud of their bodies
to corrupt it with drugs. Especially one found with the needle still in his hand and the
other dead. Seems they “inspectors” would have found 2 needles, one in the hand and
      the other near the body.

  4. Prairie says:

Mike Huckabee just had the German homeschooling family and their attorney on his show. They are a godly family, the father quoted Scripture and talked about how they put their trust in God, coming to America because they felt it was His will and how God saw them through to this ultimate good ending.

I was put in mind of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and his unshakable faith when I saw this interview. I’m just ashamed they were put through such persecution and I certainly wish America was the way it used to be, to welcome them. But, God knows what He is doing and I hope these good Christian folks will be able to positively influence others for His glory.

  5. Prairie says:

OK, nap over, continuing to improve, thanks for the chicken soup Lysie, I hope Greg feels better too.

  6. edinva says:

    G’DAY all
Rumors abound, as always, following a situation like the Malaysian flight. However, it seems the Italian govt says one of the Italians listed on the manifest is alive, traveling in VN (or Thailand – can’t remember). He reported his passport stolen/missing in Malaysia not too long ago. Similarly, I heard an Austrian whose passport went missing is on the manifest. This is really, really bad.

Btw. 67.5 DEGREES as I type! Cooler tomorrow, then 60s again on Monday. Spring IS on the way(however reluctantly)

  7. lysie says:

Plans have changed. Greg woke up with a headache. He won’t be fishing today. I’ll be organizing, but on a smaller scale. Oh well. Another day another time.

    • tillacum says:

Hopefully Greg’s headache is less or gone by now. All due to the loving care of his best friend and roomey.

    • lysie says:

Thanks, till. He’s taking a nap. I hope he wakes up well.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hope he is ok. My DH went to the men’s breakfast at church…had not seen everyone in about a month, and sigh….bad news among his friends about jobs, health, etc.

The surgeon’s practice one of them had managed for several years is basically closing shop. Friend decided to retire on his own tho….he said the coding for all the medical conditions has gotten way too complex and silly

    • Prairie says:

Molly I heard last week that the feds expanded medical coding requirements ENORMOUSLY. There are reported to be codes for every conceivable thing that could ever happen to a person such as having your skies catch fire. (rolling eyes!)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, that’s it, only friend used the example of getting bitten by a cockroach.

    • Prairie says:

Molly is it weird of me to have as one of my first reactions, to try to come up with something creative that couldn’t possibly have a code attached? Like…..chemical burns to the back-side caused by caustic materials placed into a toilet which was subsequently made to splash unexpectedly onto the victim during a college hazing? Do you suppose there is a code for all of that?

Possibly code combinations I suppose. One for chemical/caustic burns, one for splashing….not sure how they’d factor in the toilet or the hazing…….:)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, not weird exactly, but concerning that you are beginning to think like some over zealous, interfering, mind numbed bureaucrat 🙂

  8. Prairie says:

    Where The Action Is

This will be Mark Steyn’s first column appearing in National Review since his fireball column about Phil Robertson’s comments that caused a tit for tat between Steyn and one of his editors last December.

The above link is along those same lines but brings in more implications for the GOP, none of which are favorable in Steyn’s view.

  9. Prairie says:

If it does not happen in the primaries, these people will no doubt turn out in 2014 anyway. But what about the next two years of infighting leading into 2016? If the conservatives cannot clean up their house in 2014, by 2016 they may not even bother engaging.

I resemble that comment from the Red State article.

Good morning everybody. I’ve managed to catch a cold. Better this morning but still not over it. So, I’ll be necessarily less than at maximum production today. Bummer.

  10. lysie says:

    You are welcome, Molly.

I think Greg is going to his cousin’s camp today for some ice fishing. That means it will be a good day for me to sort, discard and organize..stuff.

  11. The Raven says:

Some Saturday food for thought (45 min) …compare Lenin w/Obama

  12. lysie says:

Darn , Rav. Sorry about the new thread. Here’s your last post.

Milton Friedman vs. a very young Michael Moore (before he was rich)

  13. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks lysie and Raven for the start, the breakfast, and those videos! Hadn’t heard that about that airliner. oh my.

    • tillacum says:

Which one do we consume first the one yummy looking on the left or the healthy one on
      the right? Decisions, decisions.
An aircraft mystery is pretty difficult to understand. According to the report, communication was lost 1 or 2 hours before the mystery happened? Screwy report.
Putin is calling nuboma an adolescent. He’s pretty close.
CPAC, from what I’ve seen was a success. Rousing speeches, lots of standing ovations. Now if that carry over in November, we’ll be ok. Then onto 2016. We need some of our republican “leaders” to stand up to the lies by wily reed.
