America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- March 10, 2014 – March 14, 2014 Remember 9/11

Hello, Hello!

Here’s a story:

Remember the 17 ft. cross-shaped beam found in the rubble of the World Trade Center?

Remember how it became an iconic symbol to all who mourned and needed comfort and some measure of hope in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack?

This Spring, when the National Museum and Memorial is set to open, the beam is supposed to be part of the exhibit.

But guess what? American Atheists , that is the organization, is challenging the inclusion in arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals in Manhattan.

At the end of arguments, the Court is expected to take several months to produce a decision.

  1. Prairie says:

Molly Mr. Prairie is doing very well, thanks for the good wishes. He had a dry socket once with another extraction…..no way do we ever want to repeat that experience so we’re always a bit on edge. So far, so good.

    • Prairie says:

It “sounds” to me, like the “official” story is being developed about the plane going down at sea. They haven’t found so much as a shoe, purse or carry-on item floating around. (Yes, it’s a mighty big ocean) FoxNews did have one guest that opined the plane landed somewhere else. FoxNews anchors on The Five seemed to be starting to try to cast doubt on it being anything but a crash into the ocean.

Which it might be. One guy was just on saying with these wide swings in altitude (2300 to 45,000 ft) it might be that somebody was piloting the plane that really didn’t have good flying skills and was trying to get the hang of it. Apparently the Pentagon is saying that it’s most likely the plane crashed into the ocean. Are they trying to shape the story at this point?

All I know is that I don’t trust one syllable out of the Obama administration about ANYTHING and that includes the sun coming up in the east.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good news about the extraction, yes!

Now 370…..appreciate the update… I find it hard to believe that it was landed anywhere on land by a hijacker. How difficult that would be …only if the original pilot, I guess could that happen, but it does seem funny that no debris spotted ….maybe months down the road ocean currents will wash something on shore somewhere?

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning….still reacting to the time change week here. How can one hour make such a difference?

prairie hope Mr. P is recuperating ok

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  4. The Raven says:

The WSJ reported yesterday that the missing Malaysian 777 was sending data from the engines for 4 hours after last contact. So it was in the air…..and could have made it to Pakistan. One theory is they want to “use” the airplane in the future and landed it somewhere.

  5. The Raven says:

Well, our incompetent Prez has given everyone free health care through 2016……single payer. He is now spending oodles of unauthorized other-peoples-money. Libs are unbelievable.

  6. Prairie says:

Brent Bozelle reported on Megan Kelly’s show that the drive by media didn’t give any coverage to the face that Jolly won. Too busy untwisting their undies, no doubt.
Obungo is nominating a gun grabber activist for Surgeon General. Makes a person all warm and fuzzy that this guy would give one flying rip about anything remotely related to anybody’s HEALTH!!!! Pffft!

Mr. Prairie has to have what will probably be a difficult tooth extraction with digging and sutures under general anesthesia tomorrow. The dentist doesn’t want him to chew or talk much for about 3 days afterward.

  7. lysie says:

OK. This snow has made me officially GRUMPY!!
    Move over Grumpy cat.

Grumpy lysie is not in the mood! 😉

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  9. Prairie says:

After the media hammered both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush throughout their presidencies, Obama has had it relatively easy.

The media “hammered” on Bill Clinton?? Wow, who knew……

Good evening all. I really dislike time changes, they mess up my internal clock so I’m not sleepy at bed time and then sleep later than I’d like so that I have to rush around in the morning.

    (/grumbling)

  10. lysie says:

Woohoo!! Look who is back. I saw him go in his house.

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  12. tillacum says:

Thank you lysie and Molly. These fellows are like brothers and all of us wives are great sisters.
It’s difficult. Eons ago, I was a racer, the Col had a Porsche and whenever he came for the BBQ, he’d drive his Porsche. Every time he did we’d go on a back road and “have a spin” A couple of times I think he kind of stiffened up and tightened his seat belt. On the 3rd new Porsche, we went
    for a spin…I took a 45 degree, I thought I did, but the car wouldn’t react…that was strange, the
others did…but the front end felt heavy…I told him the front end was “heavy”…he chuckled and said,
“I wondered how long it would take you to notice”. The engine was in the front end…not the
back, as I was used to. He was a great guy and a good friend. I’ll miss him. He was a People
    person.

  13. Prairie says:

Molly I’ll pass the pot of chicken soup to you, hope you are feeling better.

Tillacum I’m much better, thank you. So sorry about your friend, God bless him and all of our servicemen and women and their families.

Good afternoon everybody. I’m taking a blissful day off from news, perhaps will read some of Molly’s links tonight.

  14. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly.

Why am I not surprised that the American Atheists would complain? They want attention like whiney babies.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Thanks lysie

How’s Greg? I think prairie’s cold found me…plans for the day shifting.

Well, the Indians have a very good spring training record….remind me of that next July, ok?

    • lysie says:

      Greg is better. Thanks, Molly.

I haven’t kicked into the baseball mode, yet. We may get a foot of *s* Wednesday. Boo!

    • tillacum says:

I don’t know why the Atheists are getting so much attention. They’re the minority in this
Christian country. Why does the “court” need so much time to decide if this Christian
country should or should not put another Cross in the new WTC. After all, the members
of the court “should” be Christians, like most Americans.
Lately it seems the minority groups are changing our laws. I was taught the Majority
      ruled?
      Good Morning Everyone.
lysie, how is Greg? Prairie, is your cold better. Molly, breathe steam laced with apple
      cider vinegar.
This will be a busy day. Hubby’s commander left us a few days ago. Hubby is now the
“old guy”. The troops are gathering for the funeral on Wed., so we’re getting ready for
some to be here, we’ll all be in the same motel in San Antonio. It’s a sad week for them.
They served 45 years ago in Viet Nam. They trained together, left the states together,
came home together and have gathered here a lot of years, now the Squadron membership is shrinking. One left us on 1 Feb, one left us in Jan.

    • lysie says:

      Prayers, till.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

til so sorry to read of the loss of your dear friend. I will remember him and the others, too, for their service.

  15. Prairie says:

With number on wrist, Venezuelans queue at markets

Going from bad to worse in Venezuela. Running out of food. (FR link)
