    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Yes,yes… Thank you lysie

Been busy re entering my home time zone, plus fighting a little cold which I hope doesn’t affect weekend plans

      Opening day in a Cleveland….blech…..the weather….

The Mozilla affair……What it means. Some thoughtful people have predicted the course we seem to be now set on.

    • The Raven says:

Is that for me? (on the road again?)

  1. The Raven says:

Well, the Yanks lost the first two, but won one last night. Now it gets interesting as their mega pitcher, Masahiro Tanaka gets his first start tonight.

Driving today to the next stop (FL) and will likely miss afternoon fun

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  3. lysie says:

Busy day today doing some organizing and a little outside work. Nice, but still, a little too chilly to enjoy for any length of time.

    • tillacum says:

Good Morning. Home Depot is having a sale today and I need some garden supplies. So
in a little while, we’re off to see what we can buy.
Is it too cold to begin planting? Did the asparagus survive the horrendous weather? I
      hope so.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

    • tillacum says:

      Mmmmm good.

    • edinva says:

lysie, can you ID that breakfast? It looks scrumptious and nary a calorie or carb, I’m sure.’

Glad to see Spring making its way into our lives. Still feels chilly tho, but I’ll take it! Started walking again. DH and I used to walk 3-5 miles @ 5x/week. From late January when he went flying on ice it’s been curtailed, all but eliminated. So it felt good to walk in relative warmth … then some unanticipated rain but even at that was just good to be out and about.

Last night I heard a bona fide O’care success story. The woman talking about it found it highly ironic since she and her fiance are conservatives. He had been on a COBRA plan paying $700/mo.premium In Jan he signed up for O’Care; then was diagnosed w/prostate cancer. They went to see docs at Johns Hopkins and he’s scheduled for surgery later this month. To their great surprise and delight, Hopkins takes (at least their) O’Care plan, It might be the only ‘top’ hospital that takes O’Care, and they got a better plan from among the offerings. Hopkins is the first ‘good’ hospital I’ve heard of that takes any form of O’care. So, shows to go: there are exceptions to every rule.

    • lysie says:

Ed, I think that is a ham and cheese omelet.

Yes. First good news I’ve heard about O’care. I wonder how long THAT will last.

  5. The Raven says:

Day one on board the Beagle 2. All is well. Usually this is the time when we realize we forgot something. But we are only missing trash bags so far. The site next to us has a female poodle which is flirting with our male lab. Probably a Democrat.

  6. tillacum says:

The first I heard of the shooting at Ft Hood, “the shooter was “white”. I’m so glad it was not a muzzie (sarc) I wonder when our govt is going to find the assassin guilty of murder?

  7. tillacum says:

During the Benghazi question and answer this a.m., I did not hear one of our elected, ask Mr.
Morell if anyone at the CIA was watching their world wide screens the night of the attack. I wonder
why? I was glued to my computer until about 0400 the morning of the attack.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Jemian says:

Thank you for breakfast. I would like extra helpings of the eggs and triple of sausage. I love sausage!

It looked for a few hours yesterday that I would be coming to the states this weekend. A friend needed a driver for when he has a heart cath done. Mike and I are very close to him and so we’re available when he needs us (and vice versa). However, another friend stepped up and so my travel was cancelled. I am both disappointed and relieved. It would have been only about 10 days in the states. Yet, plenty of time for me to shop for stuff. We are running low on a few things and have been planning on ordering things. This would have been perfect for that.

Oh well. Maybe some other time.

    • Jemian says:

PS, the internet in our apartment is virtually non-existent. I’ll still be off the air for a while longer. We’ve taken steps to go with a different provider but that takes a while to set up.

A good internet was one of the luxuries I was anticipating.

    • lysie says:

Hi , Jem. We’ve missed you.

Sorry it didn’t work out for you. Another time, soon, maybe. ((hugs))

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Ah Jemian…it’s good that you are here… Very good..

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I haven’t had one, not a single one, grapefruit this past winter. Thank you!

  9. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

Our liberal friends have left us with a pile of dung the size of the Horsehead Nebula.

-Roger Simon on the aftermath of the complete failure of Obama’s foreign and domestic policies (PJ Media)

PS- We are off today on our 2.5 wk RV trip to the South. First on the docket is the Florida Panhandle, then Charleston SC – we have other brief stops – mostly to cut down the driving time and then we end at a doggy RV park (not sure what to expect there…..but it is called 4 paws Kingdom).

Most places have internet but I’ll probably be out and about instead of getting stressed out reading about the Bolsheviks.

  10. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. The robins are singing beautifully this morning.

  11. lysie says:

Greg made a little less than 2 gallons this year for us, family and friends.

  12. lysie says:

Can’t quite wrap my brain around union and college football.

  13. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start and links, Molly.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Ok, that is a great way to start the day…

Good morning everyone…really the college football and union thing…just another wacko idea from people who should know better ,but don’t let experience and clear thinking inform their judgements.

We are traveling as you know but keep up with friends and relatives all the while. In talking to one of them the other day, my husband heard this opinion: 0bama is being too hard on Putin! When I heard this I just laughed… So typical of this person to get it so upside down and backwards.

Now I am a little out of touch news wise, so if 0bama has managed to confront Putin and get results, please let me know….

    • lysie says:
