America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- April 12 – April 13, 2014 Remember 9/11 (Weekend Edition)

I haven’t been following, too closely, the Nevada ranch standoff between the Bundy family and the Bureau of Land Management. However, it looks like it won’t end anytime soon due to people coming from other states to support the Bundy family. More here.

Standoff at Bundy Ranch Ends, With Photo of the Year So Far Great pix.

Revealed: Flight 370 Co-Pilot Attempted Phone Call Interesting development.

Lastly, although I haven’t yet found a link, Mike Huckabee reported last night that the CEO of Chik-Fil-A has basically capitulated to the Lavender Gestapo and apologized for his remarks about homosexuality and promised not to talk about the subject in public any more.

It’s reported that the CEO wants to open more restaurants in larger cities, so he relinquished his principles to the almighty dollar. Obligatory disclaimer: We never ate much in Chik-Fil-A’s, frankly I always found the food to only be “average”. I did support their right to take a stand on homosexual marriage though. So I guess they won’t necessarily lose my hard earned money but they have lost my support. Hope they enjoy their new clientele.

    • Prairie says:

Frankly, I wouldn’t be one bit surprised to learn that the Lavender Mafia dug up dirt on one of the CEO’s relatives and is now blackmailing the CEO. I’m not saying this is the case, but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised. Not one bit.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Too bad about “C FA”.

I do like their restaurants and food… Maybe this is just a rumor?.?

    • Prairie says:

Not according to Huckabee’s reporting last night….

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, I see…read a piece at US. Today…the chain wants to move into the big cities, make amends, try new menus….Are they still going to be closed Sundays?? Don’t remember seeing anything about that

  2. tillacum says:

Rave, you’re right. I remember when it was announced, oh, almost a year and maybe longer, that
raunchy reid had a deal with a Chinese company to build a solar company in Nev. I’ve also read,
recently, that the land the blm is trying to confiscate, is where the solar company is going to operate. As for the turtles, that are being endangered by the cattle, will also be rounded up and
euthanized. I’ve also read the Bundy’s have tried to pay the county for that piece of Nevada’s
land, but the county refused the money. Isn’t there something called “State’s Rights”? Who is
    really running the county?

  3. lysie says:

    Blessings to you, my friends.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  5. Prairie says:

In the article about the BLM pulling back on the Bundy ranch the article states:

The turtles don’t need 600,000 acres to thrive — but neither does Bundy need 600,000 acres to feed his cows.

Perhaps not. But in that part of the world it does take a lot more acreage to support a cattle herd even if outside feed and hay is being supplied. Just sayin’.

It was also reported that Bundy’s cattle were being confiscated and killed. And at $3000 per head, that can add up to a chunk of change in a hurry. I wonder if we’ll ever know if or how many cattle may have been destroyed by the gubmint.

Interesting development. Sounds like Obama gave the order to stand down because he doesn’t want a Waco incident in his “legacy”.

    • lysie says:

Good news. Makes me wonder why they caved a bit. I’ve heard rumors about Reid’s son…..China dealings… plant. Sad that I can’t come outright and say the rumors aren’t true. Any dealings with Reid is a red flagger.

Wonderful day today. We put the round bale of hay in the hay feeder. Then, we did some much needed yard work. What a joy!!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

That is great. Congrats…feels good after the long winter, right?

    • lysie says:

Molly. Yes. It was nice see a neater yard.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

Hoping to see this movie at some point

50 to 1. About Mine That Bird…remember that horse? Great story…

  7. edinva says:

    G’day, lysie
I’d read that the (some) Bundy ranch protesters had been tasered. This has that Elian feel. So glad the Bundys aren’t taking it lying down. I sure wish them luck.

  8. mustknowhistory says:

Yes, the Bundy story is very disturbing.

My coral bells did not make it through the winter ( heck, I barely made it through the winter).

So I am looking for a small rounded foliage plant that can withstand heat and sun, as this location is on the west side of the house. These would be placed in front of some sedum that has done quite well in that location. Are there any suggestions? Thanks!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I havent’ had the courage to check the damage, so you are ahead of me…..if you liked the coral bells…were they doing well during the summer?….why not try again, on the theory that last winter was exceptionally hard? Oh please, please let that be so….

    • lysie says:

Winter is over? Headline this morning on a local news site.

Weather: Temperatures near 80 Monday before some possible snow Tuesday in Central New York

    Morning quotes:

Occam’s razor suggests that Obama is a mere conformist–someone who absorbed every left-wing platitude he encountered in college and never seems to have seriously questioned any of them
    -WSJ’s James Taranto

For the first time in American history, we have a man in the White House who consciously and brazenly disregards his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. That’s why I say the greatest threat to our Constitution, our safety and our liberties, is internal. Our president is an enemy of our Constitution, and, as such, he is a danger to our safety, our security and our personal freedoms.
    – Wash. Times’ Tom Tancredo, July 2010

  10. lysie says:

Rav, I’ve haven’t been to Driftwood Beach. Looks nice.

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
