The best 1/2 hour political discussion on TV is from 7:30 to 8:00 pm on Sunday on Fox News. Harris Faulkner interviews Pat Caddell, Doeg Schoen, and John LeBoutillier. She does this every week and calls it the Political Insiders.

O may be shrinking in popularity, but that doesn’t mean his ego has shrunk. He will continue to act like he is king because he believes he is.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I agree….in fact his feelings of grandiosity may just grow .

    • lysie says:

      How was the church picnic?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Fun, but inside…we really had some downpours thru out the a.m. Into the afternoon.

My Valley nature report…driving on the way home (we went separately as we did last Sunday) I had to slow down to let a pheasant stroll across the road. He had trouble deciding whether to make the trip, then took his time.

Last Sunday, I was surprised by a large blue heron standing still right at the edge of the road. Standing partly in the shadows, he was almost invisible til the last minute.

    • lysie says:

We have several heron. That’s why we have to net our Koi pond. A few years ago I confronted one. Those things are a lot bigger than one thinks. And the beak…yikes when standing about three feet away.

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  4. The Raven says:

I wish our Constitution had the right words to ignore liberals. You know, when they jump up and down, or make us bake cake, or take their tops off, or lie…..we then officially ignore them. Like a third grade teacher’s response to a child who wants to go home early. But no, they have found loopholes in the second greatest document. Federalism is supposed to be immune to the whims of the minority. Even the majority.
    What would those words be?

The Week in Pictures: Arms for Hostages ed. Powerline….I think I would have called it: Terrorists for Traitor Ed.

I think the coverage starts about then…when is it run? Not sure…

    • edinva says:

SO the 2014 Belmont Stakes has become controversial. Argument against letting horses run that haven’t done (at least one of) the other races in the Triple Crown, and also criticism of the jockey who took the long way around the bend, losing those precious seconds (or milliseconds). Oh, well, there’s always next year, right? I just realized: my “kids” weren’t alive for the last Triple Crown winner! They’re such nerds, I’m not sure they even know what the “Triple Crown IS.

Happy belated birthday wishes, Til !

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Hadn’t heard about the controversy….

  7. edinva says:

    G’day, Molly, all

The ‘word’ had been that the Obamas aren’t leaving Washington when his term is up, so the idea of her running for the Senate might make sense. Just like the Clintons. Simply maintain a ‘residence’ in the ‘home state’ but really LIVE in DC. At least MO is actually from IL, so there’s that. But did you notice that we didn’t see so much of Hillary when she was in the Senate? From our perspective, better to be one of one hundred senators than THE one FLOTUS.

My big excitement of the week was to join some friends for the “D.C. Duck Ride” and it was so much fun. When/if you come to DC, forget the monuments, go on a Duck Ride! An amphibious vehicle does a quick run around the Mall/WH,etc, then goes into the Potomac, returning to land near Reagan Airport. Best part: they give you duck whistles on a lanyard. (Who’s grown up???)

I have to make myself NOT think of the “swap” which may finally be the straw that breaks the camel’s back in the MSM. Ain’t nobody buying “service with honor and distinction” or that there had been prior notice to Congress because of a deal 3 years ago. And most can figure out that releasing 5 of the worst of the worst isn’t really in our national interest. Then again there’s Ed Schulz. But for the most part no one’s buying it. And I cannot figure out how Susan Rice continually lets herself be so used. She cannot be that stupid.

We’re having yet another glorious day here, nearly a week of pretty much perfect weather. Gotta think of something fun/different to do to enjoy the great outdoors. Hope y’all enjoy your weekend.

  8. Molly Pitcher says:

    Happy, Happy Birthday till

  9. Molly Pitcher says:

Very interesting stories mkh…will pass them on to my husband…I’m thinking Illinois is desperate for money, right?

lysie Michelle in the Senate? No way will that happen…she wouldn’t condescend to that. But I guess Leftists can dream….

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • mustknowhistory says:

      Illinois deserves what they get.

In other news, Ball State university was bilked out of $8 million by someone saying they were from the investment firm of Betts and Gambles. True story.

Small businessman in Indiana told me that he had received a notice from the Illinois state government that he owed Illinois several thousand dollars in unpaid workman’s comp. he called the state agency and told them he has never stepped foot in Illinois and does no business there, so there must be a mistake. The agency replied that if he received the notice, then there is no mistake and please pay the money ASAP. He told them to come and get it. Another true story.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, mkh.

Betts and Gambles…took me a moment, but hahaha!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Just think…a week ago we had very little thought of Bergdahl…and now the name means so much…but then Benghazi was much the same way.

Do you remember a movie where people are trapped in an elevator, and the brakes are giving way..burning out? It falls a few feet, then lurches downward again…stops, then down again.

I feel like one of those poor people trapped in a downward- heading, no functioning brakes elevator.

    • lysie says:

Yes, Molly I remember that movie, though not the name. That elevator scene reminds me of this administration’s policies. So much uncertainty. So much “drag” and downwardness ….morally..economically…., etc.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Did you have a good music night?

To say that the weather is gorgeous would be an understatement
