America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- June 9, 2014 – June 13, 2014 Remember 9/11

A little politics to get the week rolling??

Hillary is sending out indications that she won’t be announcing til 2015…Some pundits advise Dems that they better have a Plan B. She’s probably just being coy.

And the Senate races? The Rs still have the edge to win the Senate later this year, altho with a slightly reduced lead.

OMG, it’s in the genes. I swear, one day they’ll find the Democrat chromosome

Now that does raise my peace and contentment level several notches! Thank you mkh!

What ‘s with the art on the wall behind him tho? Curious….

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

This is Friday the 13th And the moon will be Full tonite….next time that happens again will be 2049, I heard this a.m.

    So if you are superstitious…..

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  5. Prairie says: Deceptively Edits Dave Brat to Suggest He Was ‘Dodging’ Questions

He actually answered pretty well, IMO. Note to Rep Brat…..MessNBC and the rest of the libtard media will never give you a fair hearing. Word to the wise, sir……..

  6. The Raven says:

Well……no foreign policy, no borders, disease infected children being dumped in Arizona, Iraq falling to an evil so bad, millions are fleeing for their lives, a debt so immense we may never pay it back, no electricity in the future, Keynesian inflation coming, and the IRS going after Obama’s enemies. Oh happy day. Please tell me this is not a Cloward-Piven strategy

  7. mustknowhistory says:

As for democrats voting for Brat:

    In particular:

This is a loss that can’t be blamed on Democrats “crossing over” to vote in Virginia’s open primary: Brat received his largest margins in VA-07’s most conservative territory, including Hanover County (68 percent) and New Kent County (62 percent).

As for Iraq, I think Baghdhad, I think it will fall within the week. But this will be the last I mention this topic.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Early a.m eye dr. Appt. don’t know if my eyes will be dilated or not.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

That looks sooooo yummy. Just what I need!

    • The Raven says:

      Morning Lysie!!!

I was wondering why the Dems put out the word to vote for Brat. Maybe to knock off a Republican leader? Maybe to stir up the illegals to vote in November? Maybe to stir up their base and label the Republicans as extremist Tea Partiers?

    • lysie says:

Molly, hope you have a good report.

Rav, no idea why, but I think we can say there is a plan.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I must respectfully disagree: the margin of victory was too great to ascribe it all to Dems voting. I’m sure there were some, but not that many. And by taking that view, you also devalue the candidate’s performance and the conservative voters’ response to him, and their likewise strong reaction to Cantor and his performance the past few years.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Raven I should add that that part of Virginia…I am very familiar with…a number of family members live there or just on the edge, nearby. The conservatives there have loads of good common sense, they are very patriotic, proud, with a strong sense of their communities, and concerned about the country. When they saw such a candidate as Brat being available, offering a strong alternative to Cantor, they just rose to the occasion and took it. Being also fair, they had tried to deal with Cantor, letting him know their unhappiness, but he refused to heed. the signs.

They particularly are worried about Washington, and its outsized growth, the way it’s taking over the northernmost counties of the state, like Fairfax and Loudoun counties.

    • The Raven says:

Understood……and I would have voted for Brat as well……but ….all the polls showed Cantor winning…..comfortably……….how can there be a 30 point swing? Something is amiss…My warning lights are firing on all cylinders

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Yes, that part is strange….

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Saw that just about the time you may have yes…on the Fox News site.

I’m thinking I won’t comment anymore on the Iraq situation. It is beyond my pain level to absorb with everything else that is going on… it is just so horrendous and nightmarish.

My only thing to say at this point of extreme helplessness is: how 0 reacts will be about as revealing of his character as it is possible to be.

    • edinva says:

It’s Bush’s fault. LA Times is already there. Bush and Cheney brought this on us by invading. If only they hadn’t invaded Iraq in March 2003, there would have been no 9/11, right?

  9. Prairie says:

Don’t Know Much About History, Hillary Edition

No need to get historical facts straight, the average voter wouldn’t know.

  10. Molly Pitcher says:

    Hmmmmmmm….. Legal Insurrection

    • Prairie says:

I have supported Dr. Wolf for a long time. When I was on FB he was a Friend of mine and I have had some good chats with him. He very nearly lost his wife in a freak aortic tearing accident while she was at the gym……only a very skilled cardiac surgeon saved her. We all went through that with Dr. Wolf and…Carrie is her name. Thankfully she recovered.

Personally, I’d love to see him win against Roberts. The Cantor upset can only add momentum. Dr. Wolf is a radiologist, BTW. Oh, and he is a cousin to none other than Barack Hussein Obama….through Stanley Ann’s side. 2nd cousin I believe.
He writes for a major publication…..Washington Times perhaps? Here is his campaign website: Dr. Milton Wolf for U.S. Senate

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks prairie…. Very interesting. He deserves our support, I am sure

  11. Prairie says:

Hillary Says Taliban 5 are No Threat to U.S.

Unbelievable crapola coming out of this woman’s mouth. Drunken sailors? Military members who are pushed off a ship??

    Say WHAT??

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Profoundly unserious this crowd is.

Busy with some company today….I do appreciate the variety of cousins I am blessed with, and the way we just pick up where we left off with the last visit.

Are you at your summer destination yet? I wonder if the t storm pattern in parts of the West continues?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hillary’s gaffe week continues in Chicago with Rahm Emanuel. Also Hagel was grilled before Congress today…not sure of the outcome.

    • Prairie says:

We are not there yet Molly, have commitments and appointments along the way to keep. As far as Hagel, while he testified that it was Zeroman who gave the order for the Bergman swap, he then made statements about how Zero was within his rights to do so, yes it had caused a division between the admin and congress and they (the admin) could’ve done a better job communicating with congress but……oh well……sucks to be you.

Ok, he didn’t really say that last part, but he certainly meant it. Hagel is a weasel. Enjoy your visits with cousins.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

And Hillary said that AQ was only a problem for the Afghanis and Iraqis. I find that statement so morally abhorrent, I believe she has no place near the WH on the basis of that one statement alone.

    • Prairie says:

Well, I pretty much begrudge her the oxygen that she consumes….and that goes for Bill too.

  12. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

The majority of those I used to work with thought the Tea Party was an activist organization. I told them the major parties are activist and the Tea Party is just yelling STOP!!.

That immigration demonstration at Cantor’s last night is troubling. Obviously they were there for media coverage as they thought that he was going to prevail. It is troubling because of the Democrat Party organization behind it and sign of things to come in the Congressional elections.

    • lysie says:

Hi, Rav. That demonstration is troubling. I think there will be more and larger ones in the future.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes….remember some of the confrontations that occurred during the 2000 recount? The intimidation factor is going to be ramped up it seems.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning!

    • lysie says:

      Storms today.

    • The Raven says:

Maybe they need a voter ID to get in?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

What about the disaster that’s unfolding in Iraq? Makes me sick, sick, sick. 0 being willing to negotiate a SOFA agreement would have helped…I know there are other problems there, but this administration did not want to work a second longer than it had to to help maintain some stability there. Weakness piled upon weakness…that’s what the enemy sees.

Of course for 0 that enemy does not exist. One thing I’m curious about tho: What about those drone attacks? How did he ever sign off on those…however many were made??

    • The Raven says:

I had this sneaky suspicion that the Cantor primary was an open primary and that the Dems voted against him. Sure enough, that was the case. The Dems had a secret campaign to vote for Brat. (good example on why we should not have open primaries). But outside of some Dems voting correctly for the first time in their lives, what are they up to???

On a side note, Laura Ingram said on FOX this morning that Brat was not a Tea Party guy and no major Tea Party organization endorsed him. — But if you Google him, every headline starts with Tea Party.

  13. Prairie says:

Brit Hume on Megan Kelley’s show is splitting hairs about the definition of “amnesty” and asserting that nooooobody on the GOP was ever for out and out amnesty (ahemmmmm!) and certainly that Cantor would’ve never ever ever ever ever have voted for anything that was “amnesty”.

Cantor giving remarks on TV at this time. Mrs. Cantor looks like she’s ready to cry. Also it was reported on Megan’s show that Cantor had a reelection war chest of over $5 million and Brat’s was a paltry few hundred thousand in comparison (if I heard right). A stunning development actually.

Cantor was conceding, by the sound of it. BTW, Lindsay Graham has effectively fought off his challengers. Sad to say, IMO.

  14. edinva says:

Looks like a MAJOR upset in VA-7, with Cantor going doooooooooowwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn

  15. lysie says:

ed It looks like Dave Brat is giving Eric Cantor a primary headache. 🙂

  16. lysie says:

Spent a nice day with my aunt (mom’s youngest sister)…lunch then shopping. She’s 10 years older than I am so she’s like an older sister to me too.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Oh I love iced tea!

Thank goodness…no fatalities so far in latest school shooting incident. A little community I’ ve visited several times..picturesque. On an old stage coach route, then major UP railroad

    • lysie says:

I missed that report. Prayers up.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Came across the news at noon.

    • The Raven says:

Speaking of tea parties….another IRS abuse of conservatives has surfaced

In October of 2010, apparently without a court order, the IRS sent 21 computer disks containing 1.1 million pages of tax-return documents to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. According to the Justice Department, the massive data dump included public returns from non-profit groups but also taxpayer information that by law the IRS is required to keep confidential.

From a Monday letter to the IRS from Reps. Issa and Jim Jordan of the House Oversight Committee

  17. lysie says:

    From till,

    Good Morning,

    Izzy is a beautiful pup.

Tell everyone thank you for the birthday wishes. Each one was appreciated. Thank you,

She is having someone come in to look at her computer. It has a few other issues, too.

  18. Molly Pitcher says:

Well, on a happier note, at least for me…the Indians are playing spectacularly. They’ve climbed to near the top of the standings, and……!! Much to love and enjoy.

  19. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning and thank you!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I posted a comment below about the vicious pace of 0’s disasters…now listening to a Cong. from AZ on Bennett’s show. He is making the same argument…that the administration is so overloading the body politic that it is frightening. I can hear the concern in the Cong. voice…Cong. Trent Franks from AZ..(thank you Bill Bennett for repeating the name).. the fear is palpable.

The administration is complicit in human trafficking. Can you believe this?? I think the AS, NM, and TX gov. must take action, Washington be damned.

    • lysie says:

      You are welcome.

Just when one disaster ends O brings on another one.

  20. edinva says:

OK, so I am very excited. This Friday, DH and I are going to the Marine Barracks for the Evening Parade. It’s Goosebumps City. Can hardly wait. If you are planning to visit DC that includes a Friday eve between May and late August of any year, make a reservation for this event. Its 75 soul-stirring minutes.

  21. lysie says:

Nice story about the reunion, Molly.

Last Saturday our dog, Izzy, was running fast and circling in the backyard. She lost her footing while coming around a corner and plowed into me. I went plop. In seconds, she came to me to lovingly “apologize”. I was trying to get up, but had a hard time getting her off me. She thought she was helping me. LOL.

We don’t realize how much our pets understand. She knew she hurt me and tried to make it better. BTW, I’m all right. In fact, we went dancing Sat. night. Must be the glucosomine works.

  22. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Uh oh…is that a POTATO I see?

    • lysie says:

Yes, but hollowed out. for the scrambled eggies. 😉

    • lysie says:

I searched and it looks like a large potato skin could have 5 carbs. Not bad..not bad at all.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I will check and see if “hollowed out” meets Michelle’s stipulations. It may be on page 563, however…so give me time…

    • edinva says:

Potato skins are chock full of nutrients. After my first child’s arrival, I came to think of baked potatoes as ‘finger food,’ as it was the only nutritious thing I could eat on the run.

  23. The Raven says:

A competent President would be on top of the problem with thousands of illegals flooding the borders, but our President is the reason they are there.

  24. edinva says:

Fun news out of Richmond (VA). Setback for Gov. Grifter. A Dem state senator is resigning, which thwarts Grifter’s plans to force thru a budget to expand Obamacare. There will be a special election and I guess the GOP has a good shot at it. That would take away the D’s slim majority, turn the majority over to R’s, together with chairmanships.

    Nice start to the week!
