America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- June 23, 2014 – June 27, 2014 Remember 9/11

Here’s an interesting story I came across tonite: A number of Somali- Americans living in MN have left the US to fight for ISIS. Do you find that disturbing?

Gas prices are rising slightly, as those ISIS forces gain more ground against the Shi’a army in Iraq.

  1. The Raven says:

Aha!!! Finally a phony scandal we can charge him with:

“These are just Washington fights, their fabricated issues, they’re phony scandals that are generated, it’s all geared toward the next election of ginning up a base,”

    • The Raven says:

They are orchestrating a Latnio demonstration of Congress. We need to play dirty like them……maybe import Eastern Europeans or Cubans

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Yes. Good evening.

    • The Raven says:

Well…part of it. The rest is a major problem …. here’s a portion of Scalia’s concurrence

The real tragedy of today’s decision is not simply the abolition of the Constitution’s limits on the recess appointment power and the substitution of a novel framework invented by this Court. It is the damage done to our separation-of-powers jurisprudence more generally. It is not every day that we encounter a proper case or controversy requiring interpretation of the Constitution’s structural provisions. Most of the time, the interpretation of those provisions is left to the political branches—which, in deciding how much respect to afford the constitutional text, often take their cues from this Court. We should therefore take every opportunity to affirm the primacy of the Constitution’s enduring principles over the politics of the moment. Our failure to do so today will resonate well beyond the particular dispute at hand. Sad, but true: The Court’s embrace of the adverse-possession theory of executive power (a characterization the majority resists but does not refute) will be cited in diverse contexts, including those presently unimagined, and will have the effect of aggrandizing the Presidency beyond its constitutional bounds and undermining respect for the separation of powers.

Mark Levin also was a blaze on this. The libs rewrote the Constitution.

    • lysie says:

Thanks , Rav. I see now that it was a partial victory.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I am very confused about those recess rulings yesterday. Were there 2 such decisions?

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

Will catch up on all the links/news posted on the thread that I missed.

  4. The Raven says:

I’m going to speculate. Seems Lois Lerner started her crusade against Democrat opponents around 2009……and it also seems she behaved herself before that. My guess is that orders came from Obama. She said yes sir and was off to the races.

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

Recently I saw an episode of The Honeymooners. Now I know where Lois got her ideas.

[Norton is trying to tell Ralph what to do when he goes to the IRS]

Ed Norton: When you get down there tomorrow, I got the idea: stand on the 18th Amendment.

Ralph Kramden: Are you nuts or somethin’? Stand on the 18th Amendment? You mean stand on the Fifth Amendment. The 18th Amendment was for prohibition.

Ed Norton: Well, that’s just what I mean. Tell ’em you were drunk when you made out your taxes!

  6. The Raven says:

    Morning Quote:

Historically, reporters and editors have believed that their job is to disseminate news. That is no longer true. Now, most reporters and editors believe that their principal function is to prevent people from learning things they are better off not knowing. Day after day, they run interference for their party, the Democrats.

  7. lysie says:

Power off for about one hour with more tstorms coming.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Uh oh… I have not been paying attention at all to the weather across the country

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Looks like Cochran won the MS primary, and it may have really been screwed up due to crossover voting…we will know in the a.m.

    • The Raven says:

In nearly every Mississippi county, voter turnout was up over the inconclusive June 3 primary. But precinct totals show it was substantially higher in heavily African American areas. In the 24 counties with a majority black population, turnout increased by 39.4 percent, giving Cochran a big edge.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

What a mess that situation has turned out to be …these establishment figures on the R side who can’t put their egos aside and bow out gracefully make me sick

  8. lysie says:

Cloward-Piven Everywhere… overload the citizens to the point they don’t care.

  9. lysie says:

I know weather reports are necessary, but…I’m sure happy I didn’t go by what the prediction was for this morning. I would have kept the “boys” in the barn if I did.

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

I’m ordering a bumper sticker on line where you can get your own custom message.

Hey Democrats!!! It’s your ideology stupid.

If I have room – in small print (when they come up to scratch my car with keys) it will say …the constant incompetence criticism isn’t because your black (Obama) or a woman (Hillary)

    • lysie says:

Oh. I like that. Yup! Probably get “keyed”. Hope not , though.

I made a bumper sticker with “We The People” image and below it “Our Rights are NOT theirs to debate.”

    • Molly Pitcher says:

You guys are on the case early!

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Molly. Looks like T’storms headed our way. Inside chores will be done today…along with watching Heartland reruns.

Did I mention Sarah is doing laser surgery while intern shipping with a vet? She likes.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Congrats to Sarah….great experience…remember the veterinary theme in “Heartland”?

  11. The Raven says:

Hmmm…. somebody has seen those Lois Lerner eMails…….somebody who works for the backup company. The lawyers? Probably goes something like this:

    To: Lois Lerner

Comrade Lerner. We need to move ASAP on shutting down the Tea Party. Be advised that we have your back, and the President is aware and fully supportive.

So they just keep subpoening people in IT until they get a hit

  12. tillacum says:

As for the ???,000 children and ???adult women who’ve crossed into our homeland from theirs,
illegally, they’ll bring a whole lot more than malaria with them. We’ve done away with a lot of
infections and diseases, but those countries have not…AND head lice….Mrs Garcia, first lady of Hondorus said that she would come here and take her children back home….I sure do hope so.
One of the most vicious gangs in America is from that country, maybe she can take them back too.

  13. lysie says:

I thought Rand Paul was different than his daddy. I was wrong.

Quite a difference in the Vazquez DWI case and the Emma Czornobaj case. Czornobai parked her car in the left lane of a highway to rescue a group of ducks. A motorcycle carrying a man and his daughter died after they crashed into the back of the car. She’s now facing life in prison stupidity.

Yes, Czornobai should pay a price, but LIFE????

    • lysie says:

BTW, I’m sore today. To pamper myself, If I was the type to recline and eat bon bons I would, but I’m not. Ha! Just taking it a bit easier today.

    • The Raven says:

Yes….the libertarians are for no foreign policy and free drugs…I put myself more liberation than anything else but can’t accept those odd policies

    • tillacum says:

Sounds like the motorcycle driver wasn’t paying attention to the road and to traffic. I used
to ride a motorcycle, and attention to road and other drivers is a must.

  14. lysie says:

    Thanks for the start, Molly.

Swisher was on F&F getting a “high and tight haircut” to support our military. How can you not love the man? His smile…his energy…his sincerity…all genuine.

    Loved your “farm” report.

Our trip to get the hay was nice. The countryside is beautiful. We saw many Mennonites or Amish people going to or from church. It made the trip much more enjoyable.

  15. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  16. The Raven says:

Interesting …. there is only a brief mention that illegals may be bringing malaria to the US and Schumer gets headlines claiming the people watching the World Cup will bring it back. There are only parts of Brazil – away from the cities – where malaria is found.

I wonder if he is heading off another Obama mishap?

  17. edinva says:

Why would anyone find Somali-Americans fighting with ISIS disturbing? Silly girl, molly! Maybe they can STAY there? Bring the family back to the homeland? Bring them ALL back to the homelands?
