America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- July 21, 2014 – July 25, 2014 Remember 9/11

Hello!

Gruesome things are said to be happening to that site in Eastern Ukraine as Russians and pro-Russians control access to the remains of those unfortunate victims.

And at some point we will have to face the implications for civil aviation that this attack has? Large rockets, not “mere” shoulder held rockets, destroyed this plane, and they were most definitely in the wrong hands.

  1. The Raven says:

    Sooooo.

What is the proper response of a citizen when he/she receives news that the President of our nation is about to usurp Congressional powers and grant amnesty? He is doing it now before he loses the Senate.

What is the proper response of Congress? Courts?

I think the Congress (House), courts, and citizens should get creative and block it somehow – and immediately .
Perhaps tell the amnesty recipients that the Obama decree has a very high likelihood of being reversed, Funding not appropriated. Or the Supremes jumping in.

Otherwise, we wait until after the elections.

Obama is trying to drum up the base by making hay of the impeachment threat. But a greater threat is to our nation of laws if we let him get away with this anarchy.

  2. lysie says:

Back from getting this for the boy’s round bales of hay. We’ll be blocking off the bottom 3 feet so they don’t get their legs caught in the cage. Using one of these helps stop hay waste.

  3. The Raven says:

That “Vacant Prez” Krauthammer article above is weighing on me as it is soooo true. Zero came in here and put the countriy’s wealth on DOUBLE ZERO and spun the wheel. When it landed elsewhere, he’s been pouting ever since. It will be soooo hard to reverse and the shame is the President who does it will need to make this job a major portion of his Presidency.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  5. Prairie says:

Pro bono law morphs into left-wing lawfare

On the what is now conservative harassment lawsuit of Andrew Breitbart’s widow by an uber-leftist law firm working pro bono for Shirley Sherrod. BTW, the “hilarious response” letter written by Robert Driscoll, the attorney of the PJ Media columnist who dared to write about what this lefty law firm is doing and has now been subpeoned for a deposition by them is indeed….hilarious. It’s toward the bottom of the article and worth a read.

  6. lysie says:

Stressful day. Dad is acting up, again. My brother gets firm with him and then backs down after a few days. I understand why my brother does it , but it doesn’t help. It just prolongs dad’s bad behavior.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh dear, that is hard on you , everyone. I will pray for guidance, consistency, and that your father’s heart and behavior be moved in the right direction.

    • lysie says:

      Thank you, Molly.

I did have a fun thing happen today.

On the way to see dad and brother I was driving on a back road. Suddenly, a juvenile Canada Goose plopped in front of my car. I slowed to a stop and honked the horn. Nothing …it didn’t move. I edged up a little further…it went a little further…I went to the left…it went to the left. I went to the right it went to the right. This continued for a few moments. During that time a car came from the other direction. She was able to get by with no problem.

Enough is enough…I got out of the car. I had something in my hand to shoo it away. It was not afraid and it didn’t appear to want to attack me.

Now what? Back in the car. I sped up a little. Next thing I know the goose is flying to the right of my car. I would say it was at least 200 feet before I beat the little goose. All the time it was about level with the passenger side window.

Now, I wondering if my car’s horn sounded like a goose!! LOL 😉

I think if I caught it and it was legal to have I would have brought it home. Ha! So cute it was!!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

That is a hoot, or should I say honk!!

    • Prairie says:

Take care dear. And no more races with geese. LOL!

We had a pleasant day, took a nice drive on a scenic highway. On the way home, Mr. Prairie was observing the speed limit at 75 mph. Suddenly a motorcycle literally flew around us…..he had to have been going at least 100 mph. In just a matter of seconds he was so far down the road that we lost sight of him.

Until a little while later when we drove past the place where the local highway patrol had him pulled over to the side of the road, that is….HA!

In view of all this trouble with Russia I have been reminded of Mr. Obama’s unintentional hot-mic moment when he was heard to be reassuring Dmitry Medvedev about being able to have more “flexibility” after he was reelected.

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning everyone, and lysie! Thanks for breakfast…..

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Morning Lysie

I’d like to fundamentally transform those eggs. I’m in charge of cooking this morning and am the only one awake so far, Getting real hungry

And HEY MSM…let’s get back to the phony scandals. One of the scandals—-the IRS targeting – has a sub-phony scandal — coincidental hard drive failures (or perhaps organized felonies) which have Powerball like odds of occurrence. I’m going with organized felonies.

HEY MSM…. there’s the flooding of red states with undocumented Democrats. Speaking of organized felonies….this fits nicely with someone schooled in Chicago politics…….ey?

Any more organized felonies for the MSM? Why were we sending arms to Mexico, for instance? Remember Fast & furious (not the movie)

HEY MSM let’s not forget the scandals where Zero was too busy with golf, campaigning, sleeping, or otherwise not doing his job – or maybe the news just didn’t sit right with the pollsters…..Benghazi, for example.

      [venting through for now]

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Uh oh…you ARE hungry…

Here’s a must read for the rest of the summer, speaking of venting

Silent Scourge…that’s the title of the article ABOUT the book…PJM

      SILENT REVOLUTION by Barry Rubin

I remember when he died last winter. His understanding and writing was so powerful to me that his loss felt like the ground now was less stable beneath my feet…hard to explain, but he was principled and his vision clear….

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Rav and Molly.

Vent away, Rav. We understand the frustration.

Molly, with the help of MSM I think the “Bush’s fault” syndrome ignited the left’s movement over the many, many years. Their hate can’t be denied.

    • The Raven says:

Rubin’s analysis is indeed scary. That this is all an organized campaign to propel the [dare we say] Marxists into permanent power, while the “silent” majority continues to be silent. I just downloaded the kindle version for later reading. But still remains…..what do we do now?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, I think that’s what I will do…order the kindle version…OTOH, if I buy a used copy…easy to pass on, give away….my little gesture for the revolution….hmmmm…

  9. Prairie says:

Montana Dem Senator revealed as plagiarist

Being a democrat means never having to say your sorry, getting away with lies and there is no rule that applied to them.

  10. Prairie says:

    GAO sting reveals Obamacare fraud

Fake SS numbers, fake identification, income, and counterfeit documents with 11 of 12 being approved. And some donk elected official gave the official democrat response by referring to it as “…today’s theatrical feature….Much Ado About Nothing.”

    Twirp.

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  12. The Raven says:

Wow……the libs went nuclear to save Obamacare!!!…from today’s WSJ ed.:

The competing decisions increase the likelihood that the Supreme Court will eventually agree to hear the cases. If it is serious about its claims of damage, the White House could even seek an expedited High Court hearing. But the White House may be more worried that it will lose at the Supreme Court, so it will try to dodge a split appellate judgment by first seeking review by the entire D.C. Circuit.

Senate Democrats broke the filibuster in a rush last year to pack the D.C. Circuit with three more liberals, precisely in anticipation of this Halbig result. The liberal majority may well overturn Judge Griffith.

So if you are a liberal judge, you don’t interpret the constitution, you do what you are told. Even on the Supreme Court……I suppose they can once again threaten Roberts and he can find some hidden meanings.

With OCare,,,,,the libs have found the law needs some fine tuning and they, of course, know the correct route is to get Congress to fine tune the law, as is done with Medicare, Social Security, etc. But here, they cannot do that. So they must cheat.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Wicked, wicked, wicked. What a preview of what political life would be like if the Dems hold onto the WH and the Senate. They will never give up.

  13. Prairie says:

Wow, and the hits just keep on coming. Good evening everybody, checking in here after several days. Honestly the news goes from bad to worse to….gawd-awful. We can hardly stand to even keep up peripherally on FoxNews anymore and reading internet analysis has been limited by lack of time, lack of strong stomach and an inability to process in-depth any more terrible stuff going on in the world. Still, I do appreciate the links when I can check in.

We have moved to slightly warmer climate from the coolness of the mountains. Visiting a great place and will head back into the coolness next week. We are feeling well physically, keeping busy and hanging in there, in general. I hope all here are also doing the same. Take care all, will keep checking in as able.

    • Prairie says:

I’m not sure if I mentioned how we met a wonderful Christian couple last week who also are bluegrass musicians. Hopefully it will be the start of new friendships as they are also from the great state of Texas! We will be meeting up with more TX musicians next week, I tend to think they are probably Christians too, although won’t know until we visit some more.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

prairie….stay in touch! and enjoy your musical adventures. Yes, it’s good to have an outlet…a safety valve in these troubling days.

  14. Molly Pitcher says:

What to say.?. We seem to be entering an era of breaking apart….and serious, profound choices. The divide just keeps growing.

  15. The Raven says:

ARGH…..I just did a dumb thing……I filled the pickup truck with gas.

    It is a diesel

I’m now at a dealer in s Carolina … kids and wife are in a days inn

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Not quite sure what the remedy is, but hope y’all are back on the road soon.

Sometimes vacations get off to rough starts, but that’s all they are…improvement comes fast.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Beretta moving all ops to Gallatin, TN

    • lysie says:

      Siphon it? That’s a shame.

    • tillacum says:

You’re not the first one to forget which truck you’re in. So don’t feel dum.

    • The Raven says:

tillacum…..a truck driver came over to help,,,,,he told me he did the same thing in the military, Then the tow truck driver tells me he picks up a lot of people who put gas in a diesel….especially from the station I was at. The Shell station at home uses green nozzles for diesel…..this Shell used it for regular gas and the diesel was at a standalone site around back which looked like remains of a military attack.
The tow truck driver tells be this Shell plus the BPs (which also use green on regular gas).
But I had to actually push the button (for regular, premium, etc) and I did !!!
$787 it cost plus $99 for the lost tank of gas
We had an 8 hour delay in our trip but are now at the campsite. Onward and upward !!!

  16. Molly Pitcher says:

Torpedo below the Water line. Powerline on the DC Circuit decision re: 0Care…..BREAKING!

  17. tillacum says:

I agree, lysie. Bibi is too civilized and a gentleman, but I understand he yelled at the idiot who claimed 3 purple hearts in VN. Duffus.

  18. Jemian says:

In 2004, in Griffin Park, Los Angeles, a pi e tree was planted to honor the memory of George Harrison. Alas, it has died. It was eaten by BEETLES!

  19. lysie says:

    Have fun , Rav!

  20. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  21. Molly Pitcher says:

Did you catch any of 0’s comments this a.m.? Few are listening, so you may be one of the few if you did…

  22. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly. I was home watching with mom.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      And breakfast. Thanks lysie

    • lysie says:

      You are welcome, Molly.

The events of the world have my frustration level setting on high. I will be going to the grocery store to smile at people and me nice. LOL

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well that’s it…we can only control so much, and our day to day interactions with others are one of those things….at least our side of those interactions!

Do you like melons? I love Honeyrocks….and I’m enjoying my first of the season…which is fairly short….at least their availability in the stores…

    • lysie says:

Love melons and Honeyrocks are tops on my list.

    • lysie says:

Well, the shopping trip helped…some…The prices are outrageous, though. By today’s standards I got a bargain on ground beef $2.68 per pound. Last year it was almost half that per pound.

I tried to be nice, but some of the customers must be following the news as well. 😉

Hey, Rav, have a great trip! You are leaving tomorrow, right? How early?

    • The Raven says:

      Lysie … About 6AM or so…..

  23. Molly Pitcher says:

And 45 years since “The Eagle has landed”!

Do you remember where you were that night? I stayed up late to watch it while I was home from college that summer. Some things I’ve forgotten, but not that event.

    • Jemian says:

I was at Camp Concharty, a Girl Scout camp in west Georgia. We got up in the middle of the night and hiked to the main lodge to watch it on the only TV in the camp. Earlier in the week, my dad and older brother had stopped by on their way down to Cape Kennedy to watch the lift-off.

    • The Raven says:

I had a summer job – midnight shift at the Pillsbury factory. That night I had off, but was wide awake and watched the whole thing.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Very good! Thanks for those responses.

I also remember thinking: how cloudy the picture was, but yet there it was…from the moon!

    • tillacum says:

I was in Florida and watched the take-off then much later the landing and the golf swing. Longest drive on record, I think.
