America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- August 16 , 2014 – August 17 , 2014 Remember 9/11 ( Weekend Edition)

Tension continues in Ferguson, MO even after Obama suggests that people stay calm.

Gov. Rick Perry has been indicted for alleged abuse of veto power. It reminds me of how Tom Delay was falsely accused and later exonerated.

I almost felt like Lois Lerner when I took 3 hard drives out of old none working computers. *snicker*

The drive- less computers will be recycled.

  2. tillacum says:

I think they’re following nobama and holder’s mind set. Find anything to riot and raise mayhem. Seems they riot for any slim reason. Not a word for a couple of weeks of Chicago’s shootings and killings.

    • lysie says:

Yes. Riot, rob…they are entitled…they feel ..because they have been told so. No, I don’t believe just the blacks have that way of thinking, so , I’m NOT racist. People’s actions or in-actions are the factor.

  3. tillacum says:

Molly, Emily Post is the one I was thinking of. My sister used Mrs. Vanderbilt for her boys. She and her hubby raised 3 fine men.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning!

Injury report…..haven’t seen Giambi in ages….miss him, so he has had no where near the impact he had last season, and Swish has been on and off the DL…his season may be over. Missed him too this summer.

    • lysie says:

Last time I saw Swish play he didn’t look well. He hardly grinned. 😉

Earlier this month he had a strain in his right wrist.

I now see Swish and Giambi are out due to knee injuries. Darn it!!

Giambi: 6/12/2014 DH (Left knee inflammation) on 60-day DL

Swisher: 8/10/2014 1B (Right knee soreness) on 15-day DL

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, knee injury, that’s it…he was playing in some pain for a couple of games….remember that now, too

  5. tillacum says:

I cannot remember her name. What was the name of the woman who was the teacher of good manners, before Miss Manners?

  6. edinva says:

That is one vengeful DA down in Austin! I think she comes out looking quite the fool, but what damage will be done to Perry, if any?

    • tillacum says:

Our governor does have the power and right to veto bills he thinks are not good for Texas or Texans.
Rick Perry is not a “feeler” as most democrats are, he thinks things over before he makes a decision, and he doesn’t keep his finger in the air to catch the most popular issue being
      broadcast at the moment.

    • tillacum says:

I think the democrats will do whatever it takes to get rid of our governor, should he decide to enter the presidential race. They’ve done it to other Republicans and hurt them bad, I wouldn’t put anything past the democrats, anymore.

    • tillacum says:

ed, I’ve seem some footage of Rosemary Behmberg during her questioning by the police who pulled her over. In his statement for help, he said she was aggressive. Then the footage while she was in the lock up room, showed someone very aggressive, then after they removed the handcuffs, she was restrained in restraining chair. They took her blood, and as they put her back in the holding room they covered her face and pushed her in the restraining chair to the holding the holding room. She is an embarrassment to Travis County. Her blood was a3 times the legal limit.

    • edinva says:

till, I’ve seen some of those pix. Anyone with any sense of decency would have done exactly what the governor asked, before he asked: just resign! It’s one thing for a regular person to get drunk, but a DA? And then to get belligerent? Not the least big professional, and this is the silliest indictment I can think of in my very long lifetime! Probably ends up helping Perry. I hope so.

  7. lysie says:

    Thanks for the links, Molly.

    Joe has regrets, eh!!??

    • The Raven says:

What Joe doesn’t understand is how his views (old left) have steered the car to where we are now (new left). The average Dem doesn’t have a clue what the Founders did and why it is by far the answer for whatever ails you. That is the answer, not the old left

    • tillacum says:

Joe makes some good points. Being more a libertarian, I still vote Republican, I hope he will consider doing the same, when the time comes.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  9. The Raven says:

So now, Rick Perry. We are becoming a banana republic before our eyes. We all have a first amendment right to petition the government for redress of grievances. It is getting to be time to do just that. We need someone to draft a Declaration of Independence Part II.

    • lysie says:

A comment from our local online newspaper, Rav.

@gotitgoinon @joe4point0 –I don’t for a moment consider the indictment anything other than some Dem’s banana republic version of political payback. You can PRETEND it’s something else, but that’s just your partisan love of Democrats. You read the story, and he’s basically charged for refusing to fund more of her witch hunts. He made the witch mad.

    • mustknowhistory says:

Ferguson MO erupted again last night. Apparently the new police can’t keep the peace any better than the old police. Golly gee, who gave we become?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

that lawsuit against Perry indicates how strong they think he’s become. Remember just a few weeks ago how he strong and serious he looked up against 0??

Ferguson seems bent on self-destruction. I’ve been thinking about the meaning of “oppression”. Unfortunately I was doing this at 3 a.m.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my….I hadn’t even looked at the Ramirez cartoon when I wrote my comments about Ferguson. That community…the community within the community, the Black community, that is….needs some people to stand up, show some courage and provide some better leadership.
