America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- August 23 , 2014 – August 24 , 2014 Remember 9/11 ( Weekend Edition)

According to a Government Accountability Office report food stamp fraud is on the rise (once again??). The recipients are selling and bartering their benefits for non-food items. I wonder what Michele will say about that?

Protesters were not pleased that Jesse Jackson was in Ferguson. They said…“we ain’t seen you marching at all” and that he is not their leader. It makes me wonder , who is, then?

Al Sharpton, Mr. Respectable He’s the Guy…., not Jackson apparently…

I guess they’ve found the name and face of the isis fellow who killed Mr. Foley. And they’re wondering if he will be extradited to the US for trail. FOR TRAIL! for heaven’s sake. I do hope with all my heart when he’s picked up by the dc police he’s read his Miranda rights. Eric Holder will probably be his defense lawyer. Our poor country.

    Good morning everyone.

Yesterday we visited Greg’s brother and family at their campsite near Seneca Lake. Fun..we had. They live in New Jersey. We see them not often enough. 😦

    ISIS tweet.

Or we suppose it is ISIS. Guess it depends on what your definition of IS IS !!! Haha. They probably came in the southern door Obama left open. Something to worry about, for sure., I remember being terrified as a youth when we were warned the Communists might be in the streets. Now they are running our government.

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hope you had a good time last night!

    • lysie says:

Yes, Molly,…we did. Thanks. It rained a bit, but it wasn’t a problem.

We sat early-ish for the concert..making sure we had good seats. After about 30 minutes a guy sat next to us. We talked for a while. Then, he asked if we would save his seat. No problem.. When he came back he had 3 cups of beer. One for each of us. I said he didn’t have to do that. He said he appreciated us saving a seat. We tried to pay….he wouldn’t accept.

The conversation continued. He mentioned that his mom has dementia. She was in a home for some time, but was NOT getting good care…..(fell broke knee…etc). The staff didn’t seem to care. He had enough and he is now living at home with his mom. The NYS fair was his retreat for the day. Having gone through similar , we 3 seemed to bond.

Oh, also, he bought some haberno beef jerky and insisted Greg have some. The 2 sat there burning their tongues all night long. I’m not macho…I didn’t have any. LOL

The concert was good. I have a habit of holding my breath when I hear / see good (concert) music. It was held a lot last night.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Woah! You really had some good seats for sure. I bet the guy next to you was very grateful to have chosen his seat too…..hope he gets out enough ,and is able to continue giving his mom such care

    • lysie says:

Needless to say we were off low carbs for the day…though not too bad…in a 9 hour period….sausage sandwiches and fried dough with lots of cinnamon sugar . Yum.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Fried dough with cinnamon sugar….you’re killing me!
