America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- September 15, 2014 – September 19, 2014 Remember 9/11

David Cameron has said in the wake of another ISIS beheading that ISIS are not Muslims. They are monsters.

Sorry to burst your fantasy, Mr. Cameron, but they are Muslims AND monsters. You are not alone in your dreams, tho.

Unfortunately they are shared by others in positions of power in the West, and too many Westerners.

And until reality sets in, the rest of us will be living with the consequences of their lack of clarity.

And THAT is a nightmare.

  1. Jemian says:

Rave, I just checked the times for your game. Google reported that you play today at 11:00PM! Then, I noted the small print: western Indonesia time. Good luck in your game. I hope you win.

  2. lysie says:

Early TGIF. Will be busy later.

  3. The Raven says:

I may turn off politics for the trip (not sure I can do that)……but let me know if something happens….like Holder arresting the Republicans in tight Senate races.

  4. lysie says:

    It’s crazy…absolutely crazy.

Enjoy your “get away”, Rav. Safe travels, my friend.

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  6. The Raven says:

Earlt returns are suggesting Scotland will remain in the UK. Some brit called into Mark Levin last night and said a big part of the reason for withdrawal is the Scots are tired of the left wing dribble in England. And the NY Times says just the opposite. Trouble is, they lie a lot.

    • The Raven says:

Shouldn’t the border agents process each one correctly? I don’t understand why they use speed as an excuse. Aren’t the border agents breaking the law? They can’t knowingly break the law even if a supervisor instructs them to.

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks lysie for the breakfast…for the links and quote Raven

Are you off soon on your Southern tour?

Got the car to the garage for a check up about as early as I could. I could let my husband do this job, but he generally handles his car, and me, mine. And that way the whole thing isn’t a TOTAL mystery to me….unlike the workings of the diswasher/dryer/washingmachine/checkbook to my husband :^)

How is Scotland going to go??Question of the Day….

    • tillacum says:

That looks yummy. After my walk, that is just what I need. Thank you lysie.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi till …. By the end of the day I will have taken a couple of walks also….bike riding days will soon be just a memory.

    • The Raven says:

Leave tomorrow AM, Molly……first stop Mammoth cave, then Memphis. Found a good BBQ place in Memphis (Charlie Vergos ) ,,,now need something in Dallas or San Antonio for Brisket !! Then another nat’l park — Hot Springs…..then texas…..then the South coast.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      No,no …….TEXAS! Sounds like great fun…love the food choices….safe travels, etc…

    • lysie says:

I understand what you are implying, Molly, when you wrote “total mystery”.

Once again I will post this. Mark Gungor – The Nothing Box – Part 1 😉

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh he is very good! and so funny!

I’m going to go out on a limb tho and say I think many of us are combinations….I know some men – not my husband – who are very emotional and remember everything, like this guy is suggesting of women.

And I sure try to focus on the less emotional aspects of making a decision, for example.

You know? But we have a typical marriage with certain compartments that he handles and others that I handle. I’m sure if worst came to shove, he could manage the washing machine….after a few trials and errors…..ha!

  8. The Raven says:

So how will Peterson’s child turn out now? Now that his father’s career and livelihood has been demolished. Is that appropriate punishment for Dad? I suppose the real crime is what he did to the NFL image.

I’ve been thinking back to those people in Day Care Centers arrested and jailed for molesting kids — and later released as it was all from hysteria and not reality.

Let’s get back to real crimes. Destroying documents, hard drives, obstruction of justice, lies, and other high crimes and misdemeanors.

    • tillacum says:

How about the democrats saying there was NOT a stand down order. Who gave the Africa, second in command, to relieve the commander, who was getting ready to help the people on the ground in Benghazi? It’s amazing how the democrats are circling the whitehouse and hillery’s state department,
I’m wondering why Obama is now using the term ISIL, instead of ISIS? Could it have to do with Levant?

  9. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

…there would be a fierce, relentless, around-the-clock investigation led by the major media outlets. There would be a gleam in the eye of every political reporter who lives in the Acela Corridor. Journalists would be eager to afflict the comfortable, speak truth to power, hold politicians accountable, and seek to wipe misconduct from the face of the political earth. Every managing editor would want to emulate Ben Bradley; every reporter would want to be Woodward and Bernstein.

Media Bias and the Benghazi Scandal by Peter Wehner in Commentary … speculating on what would happen if the details of the Benghazi story were identical but it had happened in the Bush, Reagan, or Nixon administration

    • lysie says:

Sad part is MSM knows that would happen….they know it!

    • The Raven says:

9 top questions for the Benghazi Select Committee = Good questions….Investor’s Business Daily

    • lysie says:

9 top questions that Obama via his staff will answer.

      1. Who do you blame?
      2. How is the golfing?
      3. Who do you blame?
      4. Can you improve on your golf swing?
      5. Who do you blame?
      6. When will you golf next?
      7. Where will your next vacation be?
      8. Who do you blame?
      9. Because your job is so stressful what do you do to relax? Golf?

    • tillacum says:

He does bring out the sad affairs in America, today. It seems the republican elected have been vocally castrated by the democrats in the scandals surrounding this administration.
Now the voices of the media is all about the boots on or off the ground in Iraq and Syria and nary a word of the scandals.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Did you tell your dr. that your BP would be low all the time once 0 was out of the WH?? Hmmmm?

    • lysie says:

I should have, Molly, but I’m not sure if he’s a lib. My doctor is partners with my mil’s former doctor. I know he is a conservative. My doctor..not sure.

    • lysie says:

Besides, the reading was 142/78. After walking a flight of stairs and being nervous…the first number really is not that bad. I wish they read it a little later, too. When I got home I read it and the top number was 137. I think he wants to push pills. Not gonna happen.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh I was just teasing you……maybe just a little thought bubble above your head as the dr. Commented…how’s that?

I had a couple of friends over for lunch, both conservatives. One has a daughter working on Capitol Hill , a staffer for a conservative R Senator. The other has become more attentive during the 0 years…. Somehow at one point the subject was getting older, and I, the oldest, said, I don’t know….my life expectancy was probably going down with each year 0 stayed in office. They laughed.

Remembering that was what got me to post that reply to you, but I was very secure in knowing who I was making the remark to,as you were not.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Swish and his wife have been nominated for the Clemente Award by the Indians

    • lysie says:

I understand, Molly. I have many thought bubbles when the dr. recommends treatments and tests. It’s much better than rolling my eyes. lol

      Good for Swish and Swishette.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Sounds like they do loads of charitable work and contributions in the area. Poor guy, he’s not even with the team…recovering from surgery. Giambi is…but such a limited season for him…boy we missed them both

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  11. The Raven says:

Jemian…..I was peeking at the schedule for #1 ranked NCAA team, Florida State — and they have only two ranked opponents for the whole season …a #9 and a #22. Tennessee has six (#4,13,19,3,18,14) and Auburn seven (#3,13,6,10,14,8,20) –with two and three teams ranked in the top ten respectively

SEC is a rough place to be.

  12. lysie says:

How the heck did we survive not having these when we were younger? Could it be our parents and teachers taught us how to THINK and LOOK both ways before crossing? After all, vehicles are much bigger and weigh more. Duh!

    • Jemian says:

And I *gasp* rode my bike all over the place w/o a helmet. Although, come to think of it, that just might explain a lot. Nonetheless, I did not burst my head open and have my brains spew out all over the pavement. Courtin’ death we were.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

A riskier or at least more risk tolerant, age for sure…..

Or maybe…. The risks we take have just changed…hmmmmmm

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I mean think of al the features in cars to keep us safe now.

studies are clear on the effects of marijuana on still developing brains, and yet these are ignored as we pursue headlong the wider availability of this drug….ok enough cogitating. I just woke up. See what you started Jemian

    • Jemian says:

LOL! I started it, and I’m not going to stick around to continue the banter. I’m bushed. I woke up at 0100. It’s been a long day of teaching and then a stupid meeting which could have been concluded in 20 minutes, but had to last 2 hours. Y’all carry on!

  13. tillacum says:

    Morning Everyone.
I cannot believe this – yes I can. 3,000 troops to “fight” Ebola, yet not one to protect our borders.
YES, and who pressured nobama to send in 3,000 troops?

  14. tillacum says:

Seems shrillary had her staff clearing out (and probably shredding) any Benghazi information that might tie her and nobama to the attack. Cleaning records and shredding seems to be her MO. I seem to recall she had this done while in the governors mansion and the whitehouse.

  15. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

Morning lysie…..thanks for the start. I’d like one of those omelets, please.

      Morning quote:

…many average voters, and especially minorities and suburban women, assume that Democrats care more for disadvantaged Americans than Republicans do. It is a myth that is dangerously close to becoming conventional wisdom.

Gary MacDougal -“A Republican War on Poverty” – today’s WSJ Op piece

    • lysie says:

It’s a huge myth fueled by MSM.

  16. Jemian says:

Re: Caligula’s Lies. One of the latest ones is that there will be “no boots on the ground” in Iraq. Bah! There are currently boots on the ground. Right now. And more will be joining them soon.

Which reminds me, JT is returning to his Bride and Baby (who is almost 3!) on Tuesday or Wednesday. He hasn’t yet recovered full strength yet, but has to make travel plans in the next upcoming month. It won’t be an exciting trip, but he’ll be slightly closer to us.

    • The Raven says:

I’ve been searching for an idea for a book to write. Maybe that’s it. “A Compendium of Excuses for Democrats” Subtitle “Necessary Propaganda for Every Day Policy Failures”

    • lysie says:

      Hi Jem and Rav.

Jem, nice that JT can be with his family. Healing prayers continue.

      Good title , Rav.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Agree Jemian. One lie after another. We are old enough unfortunately to remember the Vietnam war and LBJ’s efforts there…one escalation after another accompanied by a large sides of mismanagement and lies.

    • tillacum says:

It will take time for a full recovery and for the next year or two, take care when in high heat
Hubby suffered heat stroke and it took him quite a while before he could stay in the heat for any length of time.

    • Jemian says:

Rave, Put me down for a copy of that book. However, I will get it as an ebook, as the hard copy will be too heavy for me to lift.

Molly, and we are treating this war as we did Vietnam, i.e. just enough involvement to make trouble and cost our sons’ lives, but not enough to actually win the thing. Stupid, traitorous politicians.

Till, Thank you for the insight into heat stroke. I’ll pass along the recovery time to JT. At present he is in the states. I was hoping he’d recycle into the October training, but he told me he didn’t feel physically ready for it any more, that the heat had taken it out of him.

He said that he was training and working with the unit and just didn’t feel right. So, he went over to … someone … and said they needed to check him. They looked at him and told him he looked okay to them. But JT insisted they needed to check his temp. That’s when things got crazy. They began hollering to get a stretcher and throwing ice at him, or maybe on him, and giving him cold drinks or something and wrapping him in cooling towels. They evaced him to the ER and then to the ICU. Sometime after that he was moved to a private room.

Since Benning is only 45 min. from our home, Lions Daughter hops into her car with a few books and his phone. Everyone was nice enough at the hospital until she entered his room. He was still with the unit and wasn’t allowed any visitors or outside communication. He had washed out and so I guess it wouldn’t have hurt. But JT wasn’t taking any chances. He yelled at her to get out, he couldn’t see her and wouldn’t take his stuff from her. So much for cheering your brother up when he is in the hospital!

Anyway, that episode is mostly over and now we’ll see where he goes in October. Not his main homies, but some neighborhood homies are already in a very exciting place where no boots are.

  17. Molly Pitcher says:

Ok, I’ll just say…..I am so sick of this Ray Rice and other NFL “issues” I could scream!

  18. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Morning Quote:

Psaki: “Interesting. So what’s the name of your organization?”
      Mohammed: “The Islamic State.
Psaki: “Oh, that’s exotic. What does that do?”
Mohammed: “We have sworn to Allah that we will bring about a global caliphate as he commands us through Mohammed and the Koran. Inshallah, we will kill the pagans, Jews, and infidels and convert the Christians to the one true faith.

Jonah Goldberg in a fantasy interview by Obama’s State Department with an ISIS rebel. – This should help if you have trouble with the “they aren’t Muslims” propaganda.

    • lysie says:

My mind doesn’t think like that , Rav because I believe it is what it is. For example , some people think it’s cute making a cake that looks like a kitty litter box filled with Tootsie Rolls. To me there is nothing cute about cat poo. 😉 It IS what it is.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      That’s a nice Monday start!

      Good morning…

We have a window of opportunity this a.m. to do some outside work, and we must use it…the forecast seems to be changing since yesterday….

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Ha ha…I’m willing to bet this writer is a leftist: 0’s Betrayal of the Constitution

    • tillacum says:

Good Morning Everyone. Yummy breakfast lysie. We’ll have something close to that.

Molly, the Brits and American “leadership” have become too politically correct, they won’t call radical islamics, Islamists. In England, young girls living in broken homes, easily fooled by “friends” are then taken in by Palestinian men, drugged and used by many of his friends. When a girl complains to the police, nothing is done, because the politically correct thing to do is keep peace among the foreigners. This has been going on for quite a few years. Unfortunately, America is becoming too politically unbalanced also.

    • lysie says:

Good morning, till. Much cooler temps coming our way.

  19. The Raven says:

Obama’s invitation to illegal US entry has an ugly dark side. That dark side is they of course, will vote. Worse yet is that they vote before the law says they can. In a mini- trial run….New York is sending out – with a wink and a nod – that if you are illegal and you vote….no harm will come to you.

Interesting they are going after the immigrant so passionately. They MUST have studies showing they need both their vote and their taxes to support future Dems.

Be legal Democrats. Be legal New York. Be happy New York

  20. The Raven says:

One wonders where Obama’s popularity would be if he had the constant 24/7 drumbeat of negatives on the network news and in print afforded Bush, and vice versa……where would Bush be if he had Obama’s friends in media.

  21. Molly Pitcher says:

The Star Spangled Banner: 200 years old

A birthday not too much celebrated as far as I can tell…
