America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- September 29, 2014 – October 3, 2014 Remember 9/11

Using a 60 Minutes interview, 0 repeated tonite, wanting everyone to know for sure, that the “JV” comparison was not his fault! Got that?? Everyone say they do, so we don’t have to hear this again…..

Some 30 hikers are dead in Japan in the aftermath of a volcanic eruption…talk about wrong place at the wrong time…

And excruciating details continue to emerge about the Moore, OK terrorist.

We are going out to eat with brother in law and his wife… Gives husband a chance to catch up with his sibling, and we are all on the same page on politics …so a good evening…not sure my picky husband will “appreciate” the choice of restaurants, but ….

    • lysie says:

      Have a wonderful time, Molly!

    • The Raven says:

Just arrived in San Antonio………Got to align Directv and then find some BBQ…..luv Nat Cole!!

BTW—did I hear right? Did Obama tell the illegals to go out and vote? Tell me I heard wrong.

  1. Molly Pitcher says:

I just watched a video of Megyn Kelly interviewing that Psaki person from State Dept…just weird the contrast in seriousness…Kelly would make a superior press secretary at the highest level is what occurred to me.

  2. Molly Pitcher says:

0 nixed Bush era quarantine proposal. Too much discrimination, ya know…

Let us count the ways Team 0bama has imperiled us…..

  3. lysie says:

We went to the camp and Greg fished off shore. No catch. 😦

We took our dog, Isabelle, for the first time. Whew!! Excited!!! She calmed down after a few hours.

  4. The Raven says:

[trigger warning – following contains real life activities] We are in Texas today…….first item on the agenda is the First Monday Flea Market……where we will catch Ebola. Some say the virus is the liberals way of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and showcasing Obamacare. [ever note the journalist starts a question with “some say”]. Then tomorrow – off to San Antonio and the Alamo + river walk + BBQ.

Meanwhile, I have been amazed at the friendly people in Texas. After watching the news, I half expected the Texans to be tattooing the foreheads of Liberals and dragging them through the streets with chains. It is a welcome change from the other places we’ve been where downtrodden liberals walk around looking at their shoes. Maybe it’s Obama’s fault. Some say he’s on the “wrong side of history.”

  5. The Raven says:

    Morning Quote:

“The biggest problems that we’re facing right now,” he explained, “have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m president of the United States of America.”

    – David Bernstein quoting Obama in Obama’s Con Law [hat tip – Power Line]

  6. lysie says:

Secret Service Director Julia Pierson resigns.

    • The Raven says:

Sure…that solves everything…now Obama and Biden and Behner….in fact…..I found this order of succession….and we’d need to have a mass resignation to get to some competence.

      The Vice President Joseph Biden
Speaker of the House John Boehner
President pro tempore of the Senate1 Patrick Leahy
      Secretary of State John Kerry
Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Lew
      Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel
      Attorney General Eric Holder
Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewel
      Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack
      Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker
Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez
Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Mathews Burwell
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro
      Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx
      Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz
      Secretary of Education Arne Duncan
Secretary of Veterans Affairs Sloan Gibson (acting)
Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson

Somewhere there must be a conservative.

    • edinva says:

Exactly! Her resigning won’t do a thing. The SS has needed shaking up for a long, long time. Top to bottom. When I think of the 2 occasions I had with their security, it about raises the hair on my arms.

    • tillacum says:

Let’s see, Clapper didn’t tell the pRESIDENT nuthin; ’bout ISIS, and Julia let someone sneak into the whitehouse, and no one told ’bout it for 3 days or so. Then the SS allowed an armed convict into the elevator with said pRESIDENT. Man oh Man, this SS group has gone to chasing foreign women to not keeping the whitehouse doors locked. Don’t know “bout the next 25 months.

Just a start…Pierson… I was thinking she might be Lois Lerner 2.0

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

We are soon to be moving on to our next location….not too long a day, but you never know with travel these days…

Please remember the people in Baghdad…Particularly those who fought valiantly along side us, and our people who were there …sometimes multiple tours. Reports are not good from the city as ISIS draws closer.

    And on the home front….
great ad from Louisiana Senate race Am. Thinker

  8. lysie says:

For the past few days I put breakfast in the heading.

My question is do you like it that way or do want it the old way as an individual daily morning post?

My wish is to please. 🙂

  9. Molly Pitcher says:

Wellllll ……the Secret Service person who tackled the WH intruder the other day was actually off duty, it’s being reported.

Someone is sure having fun leaking these tidbits

  10. Molly Pitcher says:

Disaster #1,563+ for 0 we might as well give up keeping count…..

  11. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

The paradox of climate change is exactly this: the more serious the problem, the more implausible are the remedies of the environmental community.

    – Steven Hayward in Climate Change Has Jumped the Shark

  12. Prairie says:

I will be out of pocket for a while, perhaps several days. Stay the course, everyone….

  13. Prairie says:

White House fence-jumper made it far deeper into building than previously known

An alarm box near the front entrance of the White House designed to alert guards to an intruder had been muted at what officers believed was a request of the usher’s office, said a Secret Service official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

  14. lysie says:

    A gem…as in a sack of horse doo-doo.

  15. mustknowhistory says:

There was also one other baseball retirement this week that has gone almost unnoticed as his retirement was overshadowed by that guy in New York.

Paul Konerko of the Chicago White Sox also retired on Sunday. A quality baseball player and by all accounts a quality human being. There are no scandals associated with his name, just quality baseball , professionalism, and hard work. He wants to spend more time with his young children.

  16. mustknowhistory says:

Apparently Valerie Jarrett appeared in a cameo on the tv show The Good Wife. I only mention it because the episode was reviewed below and everyone of the 14 comments was very negative toward Ms. Jarrett and the O administration. I have never watched The Good Wife and don’t intend to do so and apparently there are some people who will now never watch the show again, if these comments are to be believed.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, mkh.

Ha! Loved the comments. Donna Brazile and Valerie as guest on a TV series. What next?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my…how to ruin a good tv show? Maybe ……never watched it either…

      Good morning everyone.

    • edinva says:

I wouldn’t recognize Valerie Jarrett if she walked in my front door! Having given up TV @ 5 years ago, and having just spent a week staying at a home with TV, I am all the more convinced we made the right decision in giving it up. Amazing how much TOTAL TRASH is on the airwaves. IMO it’s a complete waste of time to watch any of it.

Last week I hosted a friend from out of town, high school buddy, who hasn’t been to our Nation’s Capital since our senior class trip … in 1962! I am exhausted! We did the Library of Congress tour, hit the Supreme Court, toured the Capitol, the Holocaust Museum, Jefferson Memorial, the White House, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and I can’t remember the rest.

We did the White House just days after the two ‘incidents,’ including the breach of the fence. So, the temporary solution, before they can come up with one that costs billions, is a second tier of shorter fencing that would have to be overcome before tackling the longstanding WH fence. It’s been roughly forever since I’ve done the tourist bit and to be honest I found it all VERY depressing. All of our nation’s memorials and great sites used be so open and inviting. Now you have to walk blocks to get near any of it. And go thru several layers of security. Sad that we live in a world where no one can be trusted and everyone is suspect.

At least there’s ATRW, right? God save us all!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good for you ED! Is your friend coming back next year? I think you missed a few places…

    • edinva says:

MOLLY, My friend would have to come back FOR a year if we were to catch even most of what there is to see. And that would cover only the Smithsonian exhibits. I hope she does come back next year, it was great fun, as I tend to avoid DC as much as possible under normal circumstances. However, I have 2 more friends coming mid-October. Then another respite.

Is anyone surprised at the WH breach of security? The SS has long been overestimated IMHO.

  17. The Raven says:

    Morning Quote:

Those who oppose photo voter-ID laws and other election-integrity reforms are intent on making it easier to commit vote fraud.

    – EDWIN MEESE III And J. KENNETH BLACKWELL (from WSJ Opinion piece on Holder today) accusing Holder of leaving a “…a dismal legacy at the Justice Department, but one of his legal innovations was especially pernicious: the demonizing of state attempts to ensure honest elections.”

    First Amendment attacked again.
