America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- October 4 , 2014 – October 5 , 2014 Remember 9/11 ( Weekend Edition)

Yesterday Lisa Monaco, assistant to the president for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, said that a travel ban would ‘impede’ efforts to fight Ebola in Africa. Surely, she must be joking or am I dense? Shouldn’t the White House be concerned with the USA citizens?

It will be raining most of the day, here. What to do?? What to do??

Good morning everyone.

Is 0’s trickle up economy working?

Maybe we should take their arguments and use them against the libs? The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Yep! And all under the 0ne.

What do you think? We would have to argue and argue…never giving up to drive the message home tho.

  2. The Raven says:

tillacum—there are a gazillion undocumented Democrats here and they are all pregnant and have large families. How in the world does Texas stay ‘Pub? I guess they keep a better eye on the polls here.

  3. Jemian says:

Well, War Eagle! I have a deep and abiding respect, er, abject terror for playing LSU. The game has been so close so many times and we lose it in the end. Today, that was not the case. It was closer than the score indicates. However, it is a nice, tidy little score. 41-7.

    WAR EAGLE!

      🙂

      Hi there.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Wow! Did you ever travel to the LSU campus? It’s a lovely one, but Auburn’s is too.

    • The Raven says:

Congrats, Jem…..I listened to the pregame analysis and the game was supposed to be close as the LSU QB was really good and they had good coaching. The Vols didn’t do so good. they were ahead the whole game but blew many chances to break it wide open, and then lost in the end.

    • Jemian says:

Molly, I don’t think I’ve visited their campus, really, just Tiger Stadium ~~ in and out. I imagine it is lovely. Many of the campuses down here plant lots of azaelas, etc. and with their tropical weather, there is a long growing season.

I was cheering so hard for the Vols, Rave. I really, really wanted y’all to win this one. As I said, the game was a lot closer than the score indicates. LSU was in scoring position several times. I don’t trust them not to come back until the game is actually over. I did begin relaxing a bit when there was only 5:00 left on the clock. LOL!

Evening everyone…I wanted to end the day by posting some good book titles recently recommended to me by various relatives..we are a reading clan…

    1. Where Nobody Knows Your Name, by john Feinstein. a book about a few players in the minor leagues… Some had careers in the majors (think I got that right)

    2. The Beast in the Garden..back in 1991 a killer mountain lion stalked the Boulder, CO area. This true story tells of those scary times, plus the back story: hint- too much environmentalism. The bk. was published a few years ago.

    3. The Charisma Myth..it’s not hard to develop better social skills

    4. The Boys in the Boat…again a true story…the 1936 U.S. Crew team, and how an unlikely group of men got to the Olympics that year

I should have a few more tomorrow.

  5. tillacum says:

Rave, where are you driving? Are you taking the southern route or HWY 35 through the middle?
Where are you headed? We live “dead center” in TX, just below Waco, ’bout 36 miles..

    • Jemian says:

Rave, I have long wondered about your moniker. Did you select in honor of Sam Houston?

Hi, till. Good to see you.

    • The Raven says:

till…We were at First Monday Canton on Thursday…then came down 35 thru Waco…….to San Antonio …..I had forgotten you are a Texan. …..last night we did the River Walk…..maybe the Alamo today,,,,,,Tueday …off again…..

Jem…u mean “The Raven?” no….it was Poe…….during the Clinton lies…it was a Freeper nickname……my web page used to have “Nevermore” on it……and also thus the Morning “Quoths” on some days.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I’m thinking she means your Tennessee Volunteers “T”……

    • The Raven says:

Molly…there was a bio of Sam Houston called The Raven……

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh! Did not know that…and I’m a TEXAN born and bred…dang…somewhere between singing the Yellow rose of Texas and The Eyes of Texas… And reading about the Alamo and San Jacinto…something was left out.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

the 0bama factor is baaaaack for this year’s midterms..

Somewhere I read an article this week about the recent high voter registration in Ferguson, MO….hmmmmm

    Well, back later

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

lysie. sorry bout the rain…that Monaco statement just reveals how stupid they think we are, and some really are unfortunately…and the contempt they have for us

  8. The Raven says:

    He’s back !!!

    Klayman sues for deportation

Side note….remember when the Democrat Governor of Hawaii said he searched everywhere for Obama’s birth certificate and couldn’t find it?

    Go Vols
