America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- October 20, 2014 – October 24, 2014 Remember 9/11

Ok, let’s start the week with some good news, as heaven knows what the rest of the week may bring.

In Spain the nurse being treated for the Ebola virus has passed her first test for recovery. A second test with negative results will confirm her recovery from the disease.

On the Syrian-Turkish border, ISIS may be in retreat in the town of Kabani. The Kurdish fighters there are resilient and determined, so we will see…I laughed to read about the especially effective women fighters. The ISIS monsters especially fear them…no kidding!

The Dems Leftward Shift Joel Kotkin

Ethnic aristocracies don’t belong in America Why the Left still divides by race…Victor Davis Hanson

The Surprised President

Does everyone want freedom? PJM

Dems are running, but Pres won’t let them hide

Does 0 care about people? Nope. He’s a Leftist, after all, among other things…

Vulnerable to Biological weapons

Giving up on the Midterms… the MSM

The Poison Tree No, not 0, but Islamic terror …Wash. Free Beacon

Too much bad news this week. Ebola on the NYC subways, the remains of Hannah Graham confirmed, high school shooting in WA, attacks on police in NYC and CA. (and that’s just the past 24 hours!) Oh, but POTUS had time for photo ops at the WH with the ‘healed’ and released TX nurse. All in an effort to get a message across to make people feel safer? That might have worked had he visited her mid-week before she was deemed ‘healed!’ This looks more like cowardice.

On a personal note, my week ended with good news. Excellent news! I *think* I informed y’all in September about my developing a form of macular degeneration. Or, technically, myopic choroidal Neovascularization. How impressive is THAT? Doc started treatment 9/12 and in today’s follow up he said I’d had ‘dramatic’ results and was pleased as punch with the progress. I got a 2nd shot, tho he wasn’t even sure I really needed it, but it was better to be safe, and could foster further improvement. I forgot to ask what my vision had returned to but I know I can see and focus worlds better than 6 weeks ago. So, Halleluja.

Heading to Richmond VA on Sunday for a family brunch. Otherwise, peaceful, quiet weekend with beautiful Fall weather on tap. Hope everyone has a grand weekend.

Excellent news on the eye treatments! Praise God! I agree with your other observations completely. And where is our new Ebola Czar? Seems nobody has heard nor seen a thing out of him, and he didn’t show up for the hearings yesterday either. So why did he even get appointed to the position? Does he have pictures on somebody high up in Stinky’s administration? 🙂

Good on Chris Christie and (surprisingly) Cuomo for standing up against the Obama wide-open-door policies. Dear Leader can’t be happy. And speaking of Valerie Jarrett……

    • edinva says:

Molly, don’t you wonder if this isn’t part of ISIS’s request for its supporters in the USA to kill police, soldiers, etc. Police are the likeliest, most visible and accessible targets for now. One lone terrorist in NYC hit 2 of 4 policeman in Queens; then another in CA hit 3, killing 2 (so far).

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Sorry to hear about those policemen in NYC. Then a news conference with di Blasio and Cuomo to top off the evening. Dang…

      Good morning, faithful breakfast provider.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Molly and Prairie.

    • lysie says:

Stupid de Blasio quote, “We want to state at the outset that New Yorkers have no reason to be alarmed. New Yorkers who have not been exposed are not at all at risk.”

So, the Dr. rides the subway and goes bowling. How many people were near him?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

“0bama’s programming”. I’m afraid that’s what it looks like.

Another Ebola patient …..NYC, recently in W. Africa.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      3 possible new cases

I really am sorry for the new patients, plus those exposed to them. It should not have to be this way

    • Prairie says:

From that article about 3 possible new victims:
Hopefully, with the enhanced protocol upgrades that better address Ebola’s status as a high-risk pathogen, no more healthcare workers will be infected in this country

Now, that’s a noble thing to hope for but why should they be put at risk at all? Isolate those who have been treating W. African ebola patients for the required time BEFORE they return here. In fact, extend the isolation to all traveling from that area.

This determined recklessness by Zero Man almost looks like he’s testing the public health system……but on whose orders? And to what end?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I agree prairie he is very adept at finding ways to destroy the country…never let a crisis go to waste…

  3. lysie says:

    Midterms and MSM.

They know it’s bad. They know it’s the liberal politicians’ fault. They will never admit it. So…don’t cover it.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

Morning Lysie…….my hunger pangs are now energized to the max.

      Morning quote:

“Most of these laws are not preventing the overwhelming majority of folks who don’t vote from voting. Most people do have an ID. Most people do have a driver’s license. Most people can get to the polls. . . .”

-Obama seemingly disagreeing with the lib’s assault on voter ID laws.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Rav.
      Dig in. 😉

Key word..”seemingly”. Yup. I would bet that he contradicted his statement in minutes.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Excellent! Thank you lysie

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I’m wondering if PM Harper’s statement calling the act “terrorism” will nudge 0 in that position at least in this one instance.

    • lysie says:

You are welcome, Molly. How are you feeling?

I felt a little off last night so I took Cold-eze and Zi-Cam. I think I nipped it.

  5. Prairie says:

I can’t find a link to the vid, but another jumper breached the White Hut fence tonight. The Sec. Service with dogs did catch the mook and escorted him off. The black male perp kicked a guard dog in the face and threw another dog down on the ground and pummeled it with his fists.

Seems to me that an electric fence around the top of the main fence might be something to consider. Works well with pigs…..

    • Prairie says:

In the first article above, the White Hut press office released an email trying to showcase Michelle’s stumping for democrat nominee Bruce Braley, but the subject line of the e-mail referred to Braley as the “Democratic candidate for governor.” The problem is, of course, that he’s running for Senate.

Makes a person feel allllll warm and fuzzy that these jerks are handling press for important domestic and foreign “policy”.

  6. Prairie says:

The dead shooter in Ottawa has been identified as a recent convert to islam. And here I was convinced that he was a radical Lutheran……

  7. lysie says:

O on Sharpton’s show? Imagine the outrage if a republican president did an interview on a David Duke show.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  9. lysie says:

    World Series: Royals VS Giants

    Play ball!

    • lysie says:

Oh brother!! They don’t want to mention O. LOL

The email mentioned Koch brothers as helping the Republicans…I think Soros can dig the dems out of the hole.

  10. Molly Pitcher says:

    Cook County voting corrupted….

  11. tillacum says:

I agree with you Prairie. I’ve never truly trusted Karl Rove’s political dealings. I’ve wondered why President Bush never pushed back, never countered distortions of truth, never defended himself. Now Karl Rove has a “super PAC”. For what?

  12. Prairie says:

City Threatens to Arrest Ministers Who Refuse to Perform Same-Sex Weddings

So, if your same sex wedding is presumably the happiest day of your life, why would you even want to have the service in a place where they only want to honor traditional marriages?

Unless of course, your real agenda is bullying Christian pastors and sullying the Bible, through your own mean-spirited unhappiness.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
    –Romans 1:24

    • tillacum says:

Evidently homosexual married life isn’t all roses and such. I understand Rosie’s second wife is happy Rossie’s lost 50 pounds.
Good Morning All. It’s a wonderful COOOOOOL morning in central Texas. Fall is here and hopefully winter will be a bit cooler.

  13. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  14. The Raven says:

Oscar Pistorius sentenced – five years in prison

    • lysie says:

For killing his girlfriend? Does that seem a bit lenient?

    • The Raven says:

For libs – five years is a lifetime. But you are right. Firearms 101 teaches you are responsible for the bullet when it leaves the gun. If you are in a tent cleaning your gun and it goes off……and hits a passerby, you can’t use “I didn’t mean it” as a defense. Same with firing a gun into a ceiling in an apartment complex. Or into a wall in a motel. Those alone bring more than 5 years.

  15. The Raven says:

    Morning Quote:

The question is therefore not whether the Court should resolve this issue, but when. It can do so now, thus minimizing potential unfairness, providing maximum clarity to those subject to the Act, and preserving the integrity of federal expenditures. Or it can do so in 2016 or 2017, after tens of billions of Treasury funds are irretrievably spent, after the insurance industry restructures to adapt to the new regime, after employers lay off countless workers (or cut their hours) to avoid the employer mandate, and after millions of Americans buy insurance because they believe it will be subsidized (or because they are forced to under an individual mandate from which they are properly exempt).

    – Michael Carvin, et al, in his reply brief (the WSJ today praises “…The 12-page document is a master class in legal persuasion and deserves more readers”) asking the Supremes to rule soon on King v. Burwell, a challenge to ObamaCare Federal subsidies. (Obama is trying to delay as a tactic)

  16. The Raven says:

Democrats in the news. We know who she votes for, right?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

    • lysie says:

      C’mon…who hasn’t done that? 😉

    • Jemian says:

I lead a very dull, unimaginative life. Oy vay!

Swamped here. My class is all participating in NaNoWriMo again this year. So, we’re gearing up for that. AND, we also are gearing up for our chapel presentation on Nov. 21. We’re acting an Adventures in Odyssey radio drama. It’s a 30-minute play with bunches of stuff going on. I feel like I’m the ringmaster of a 3-ring circus. Sheesh! Then, the last week in Nov. we’re going to a conference in S. Korea. After that, VACATION!!!! I will need it.

    • lysie says:

      Hi Jem.

Wow. You have a lot going on. That will make your vacation more enjoyable.

  17. Molly Pitcher says:

Hearing some good news about election, but other things…like our troops in w. Africa…

  18. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone. Slept last.

    Thanks for the start, Molly.

    • tillacum says:

Thank you lysie. We’ll have something similar this a.m., after, you know who, raises his head off the pillow.
The weather in central Texas has been wonderful. Today, we will cast our votes. Oh, I pray conservative Republicans will replace liberal democrats.

    • lysie says:

      You are welcome, till.

      I’ll be praying with you.
