America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- October 27, 2014 – October 31, 2014 Remember 9/11

Hello!

After a couple of days “break” from the news. I tuned into the Fox News Sunday night show hosted by Harris Faulkner awhile ago.

What I learned was shocking….and not shocking in these days of the 0bama era.

First of all the administration is pressuring the states which have implemented more stringent quarantine rules for incoming travelers to reverse course. This includes NY and NJ. I’m sure, absolutely sure, that Gov. Christie will rush to comply, aren’t you?

And second, the three guests, among them Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen, said 0 has already thrown his Ebola Czar under the bus, and this was clear at the meeting the two had last week, when 0 did not introduce or mention Klain’s name to the attending press. This opinion was reinforced by the fierce ridicule 0 and Klain received on SNL last night. Both are deemed non-functioning: 0, after 6 long years of disastrous decline, and Klain, from the get-go.

In other news, the doctor hospitalized last week with Ebola in NYC took a turn for the worse over the weekend, but his treatment continues.

    Good morning everyone.

  2. The Raven says:

    Voter integrity group sues Maryland
We must also bring charges against the illegal voters

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

Thank YOU Torii Hunter!!. I will remember this and give him an extra cheer when he plays the Tribe

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Let’s root for Walker

I’m still shaking my head over the number of close races, ’cause Dems win close races. Including Alaska–so we’ll have to wait until next Wednesday for that result. ANd two states (GA and LA) have a 50% requirement and will likely be run-offs in both states with massive money being poured in to decide the Senate. As for cheating….watch this site for ties changing to lean Dem in coming days.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, that was a very good game last night. I thought it likely that SF would win the Series, but held out a little hope for the Royals, too.

That Bumgarner! He will be lauded all over the place, but I think the defense behind him played a key part too, and shouldn’t be forgotten, and also one or two of the hitters were outstanding.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, but you know what? The unions as a body will spend their money, but they can’t follow their Members into the polling booth, at least not yet, and I know individuals in various unions who think and vote on their own.

    • lysie says:

And that’s why I was surprised when I read the unions representing Central New York’s three largest law enforcement agencies endorsed Republican John Katko for Congress in his bid to unseat Dem. U.S. Rep. Dan Maffei.

    • The Raven says:

      This is sickening. Absolutely sickening.

    • lysie says:

Illegals voting…Rav….shaking my head in disgust. When will we say enough is enough?

    • The Raven says:

      Here’s more

They don’t have any authority if they win that way. We can surely ignore their commands.

    • lysie says:

Break the rules..get rewarded…Play by the rules…get penalized. Something is very wrong and needs to be corrected SOON!

  5. The Raven says:

Here in TN – early voting is down and it’s a bit troubling. ‘Pubs are probably thinking they are so far ahead, why bother……but there is a liberal poll voter attraction with an amendment yes/no vote on abortion. Amendment 1, a ballot initiative to decide whether state lawmakers will have the power to enact, amend, or repeal laws regulating abortion.

I’m not quite sure why this is needed. Must have been a State supreme court opinion.

They are looking to reduce out-of-state abortions. Seems we pay for anybody. They are also seeking to regulate the abortion clinic themselves to hospital standards.

But I hope this doesn’t swing the attendance too far left.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

    Ok…another book recommended to me:

THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN. The author’s name is Stein….now this a novel….from the dog’s point of view. 😊

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  8. lysie says:

We were at the camp yesterday and today. Not to stay over. The weather was beautiful. The waves on the water were calming and the sunshine was refreshing.

Yesterday I looked to the left and saw what I thought could be a dorsal fin of a fish. Sure enough. It was swimming about 2 feet from shore. I told Greg. Within minutes more fish were coming. He caught a 27 pound Chinook Salmon.

Some difference…Today he caught a 5 inch perch and a small sunfish.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Is that a typical catch for lake Ontario?? Goodness.

    • lysie says:

Yes. There were many of them close to the shore searching for food.

Play ball. Hope it’s a good game. Swishie was on a few moments ago.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, I think I understand, then. The chinook salmon is native to the n.w…..but has been introduced to the G. Lakes….did not know that , and was only thinking of the N.W.

My new fact of the day!!

    • The Raven says:

We were walking the dogs near the lake and spotted ooodles of fish making splash at the surface. My wife ran back for the fishing rods and we tried but got nothing except a throwback crappie.

      A 27 pounder is amazing……….

    • lysie says:

Yes. It was a big one , Rav.

Greg tried to take a picture with his cellphone, but had trouble because of the bright sun shining on his cellphone. He couldn’t see any of the icons.

  9. lysie says:

Great looking book, Molly. Here it is Jem.

  10. Molly Pitcher says:

Does anyone here remember Reagan’s famous speech from 50 years ago this week? Powerline has been covering its commemoration. I remember watching it on tv, seeing how forceful it was, and while it couldn’t help Goldwater, people sure took notice of Reagan.

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  12. The Raven says:

    Morning quote

So Hinders’ compliance with the law is being regarded as evidence that she broke the law. Welcome to the new United States, where unchecked government power ruins lives.

Today’s Investor’s Business Daily editorial — “…For almost 40 years, the Times reported, Hinders deposited her restaurant earnings in a local bank without incident. Then in 2013, “solely because she had deposited less than $10,000 at a time, which they viewed as an attempt to avoid triggering a required government report,” the IRS simply pocketed her money.”

  13. The Raven says:

Lysie…Guess which state finished last in growth? New York’s economy grew an anemic 0.7%. Wisconsin was #1.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

And it may be close in WI for Walker? Sheesh…..I sure hope not.

    • lysie says:

And I see that anemia all over our local area. ….from run down…used to be lovely homes…..to abandoned factories and stores. 😦

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Truly sad, I agree.

Apparently the ticket under Walker is high quality…a farmer, veteran of the Iraq war, a conservative Black, and of course that feisty lt. gov..and so on. Christie and the gov. assn. have put little, if any, money into the race. They make me sick.

  14. Molly Pitcher says:

National Security Bungling….. No, we are not surprised

  15. Molly Pitcher says:

    Ok everyone…

Here’s a book title for you: Judy, by Damien Lewis…story of a hero dog who served with British forces in Asia, and along with them, became a POW held by the Japanese..

  16. The Raven says:

The fact that there are 9-10 Senate seats as toss-ups is really upsetting. How can it be a wave if there is a 50-50 split? We know ties go to the Dems as they can cheat with no clear punishment. That is one of the most remarkable facts of modern times.
Look at this quote from NationJournal:

Hernandez Sandoval’s family is legal, documented, with papers to prove it, the Coloradan says. But he feels the president has forgotten his community. Too many promises to Latinos have gone unfulfilled. Sandoval paused, rummaging through his wallet and producing two “I voted” stickers from past elections.

Note…he doesn’t say he’s a citizen….just that he is legal and documented. We can include in schools the requirements for citizenship.

    Links
…more Obama criminal behavior here. Can we arrest them when they leave?

  17. lysie says:

I pray the transformation of W.Va. spreads across our country…soon.

  18. lysie says:

I would love to have Charles Barkley , Holder , Jackson and Sharpton debate. Barkley’s recent comments make me think he would have no problem “slam-dunking” the three of them.

    • Jemian says:

Barkley would slam dunk them IF he got up on the right side of the bed that day. But, Barkley is all over the map and just likes to say stuff to get attention. He’s too contrary to trust.

  19. lysie says:

    Cuomo caves.

The health workers who treated Ebola patients in West Africa will now be isolated in their homes and will be compensated for lost wages.

  20. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  21. The Raven says:

Now that SNL criticizes Zero — then that’s it?? We didn’t have standing? How about we do a routine on those two teenagers running foreign policy? Or the Holder race baiting ? Or the economic / debt disaster? Cause it ain’t funny.

Or maybe the IRS? Did we all see the judge (appointed by Reagan/Bush but obviously a Dem) took advantage of eBola cover and deleted the IRS lawsuit.

    PS–Welcome Bit !!!

  22. Bitwhacker says:

Christie seems to be holding his ground on the quarantine policy — may be because he knows it is his only shot at CYA. Nobama has left the Governors hanging out there on their own, I don’t think they have much choice in preventing the spread once Nobama lets the patients land here.

Sorry I have been away so long. Life intervenes… 🙂

  23. mustknowhistory says:

What did you think of the Harris Faulkner newscast? Although I missed it tonight, I usually try to watch it. Her last half hour with the political panel is pretty good.

Crazy news that Klain is already under the bus.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh I thought it was pretty good…only caught the last 30 min. or so…yes, it was the political panel’s comments which made my jaw drop…will that info make the talk radio shows today?
