    Good morning everyone.

OK…it is time to pick the top 4 football teams for the national championship. As they now stand, the top four are Alabama, Oregon, TCU and Florida.

So, what is wrong with that? What’s wrong is the “C” in TCU stands for Christian and we can’t have that. The “T” stands for Texas and that’s just as bad. So the selection committee (all libs) will find a way to dump TCU. They already have the perfect excuse. TCU was beat by #6 Baylor. But since Baylor had a weak schedule….that presents a problem. OK….they pick #5 Ohio State and get rid of both TCU and Baylor.

See, the real problem is all teams lost a game except Florida. Florida had a weak schedule and when they played good teams they had to come from behind. TCU’s one loss to Baylor was won in the last minute with a field goal. The other teams all had their one loss to an unranked opponent.

The committee should pick Oregon and Alabama and then TCU and the 4th spot to either Florida, Baylor, or Ohio State. the 3rd spot should not be the question mark.

      Good morning…

I will bow out of the football discussion, leaving that to the experts. I do appreciate the “PC” angle, tho.

Apparently the Rolling Stone isn’t alone in the rape-fabrication and misrepresentation racket.

If I were the Somers family, I’d take some minor comfort at least in knowing that there was an attempt made to save my idiot son who chose to go to Yemen, and that he died in that rescue mission rather than on his knees in an orange jumpsuit with some limey-accented ninja standing beside him in the desert waiting to clip off his head. IF ONLY that US and what remains of our allies would go into the ME and wipe out every last terror cell. Those cells continue to grow (metastasize) and we have neither the will nor the resources to totally wipe them out, but maybe we could see a ‘good start?’

As to Louisiana: Miss Mary sure ran a desperate, pathetic runoff campaign. A normal person would be embarrassed. I remember when she ran maybe 2 cycles (or 3) ago vs. Suzanne Haik Terrell who had led in the polls and on election day seemed still to be ahead. Miss Mary and the Landrieu machine went down to the 8th Ward, beat the bushes to get out voters who carried the day for her. Of course, those voters left with Katrina and seem to have taken up permanent residence in Houston, so I think this time she may really be a goner.

Another chilly, rainy day here. Today is the annual Alexandria Scottish Walk, a really fun, festive event, but not so sure I want to ‘weather’ it. Gotta make up my mind pretty soon.

    Have a beautiful day, y’all
