    Good morning everyone.

      Morning Quote:

I spend most of my time watching ESPN in the morning

-Barack Obama (in case you mistakenly thought he was getting top secret briefings on world affairs)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Glad you had a good time. Did you see my post about the book, “Judy”? I hope I can finish it in the next couple of days…turned into a bit of a slow reader…

good morning and thanks for breakfast!

Am helping out with Christmas brunch at church this late a.m. We got things pretty well set up yesterday afternoon. The weather…everyone is happy but the skiers!

    • The Raven says:

Molly, speaking of good books, this time of year, the WSJ picks the best books of the year. I just picked up from the library a couple of the mystery suggestions . First on my list is “One Night in Winter” which takes place in Stalin’s USSR and is based on a true story. Next is “Elizabeth is Missing”

    • lysie says:

Yes, Molly. I did read your post about the “Judy” book.

One of the other dog books you suggested I read. Can’t remember the name right now, though.

    • tillacum says:

Thank you, we’re having that for brunch.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

The WSJ is a great source of bk. title, yes.

  2. The Raven says:

Today is the day, Molly P. He starts.

  3. lysie says:

    Waahhhhh!

I don’t want to go. Greg’s engineering company is having a Christmas party tonight. Free drinks, free food and music. Bah humbug.

Really not looking forward to going to downtown Syracuse. Last year it was at a better restaurant. Plus, it’s cold out there.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

My sympathies….mixed emotions about traveling too far at night these days….

    • lysie says:

      Back from the party.

We lucked out with the parking and found a spot not far from the place.
Huge shrimp for cocktail hour with bacon and meatballs, too.

Waiter and waitress were continually offering more before dinner items.

The steak I had was not bad…I’ve had better…

I would give it all a 4 star.

Miss hum bug will admit she was wrong.. The weather cooperated…parking was good..food good. Nice time.

  4. lysie says:

    Thanks for the links, Molly.

Rav, to answer your question about gifs…I search for animated cat, dog, dancers, etc.

  5. lysie says:

Speaking of Sarah….this is the Greyhound she worked with to get him ready for adoption. Greyhounds tend to be skiddish of people when adopted because of their intense racing training.

    http://www.greycanine.com/greycanine/Limitless.html

She wrote many of the details about Limitless a.k.a. Limmie. She’s going to miss him. We hope he is adopted by a loving family.

    • tillacum says:

I’ll bet she will miss him. We know of a grey hound who bonded with a Russian wolf hound. They guarded the cattle. Heaven help the coyote who started sniffing around the herd. The swiftness of the grey hound and the strength of the Russian wolf hound were an asset to the rancher and the cattle.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

He will be adopted. Lucky doggy. Good for Sarah!
I am reading the book about “Judy” , the dog who survived the war with the Japanese in s.e. Asia. My gosh those people were brutal, fiendish, and beyond belief in their barbarism. I am at the point where the poor dog and a lot of innocent civilians have gotten their boat sunk from under them, fleeing Singapore.

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

You haven’t mentioned Friday night music for awhile…still enjoying it?
And does Sarah come home soon, I hope?
I had a fun luncheon with some of my exercise friends yesterday…then went downtown for an errand and arrived home tired and not very interested in supper.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Did you see? prairie is off on some adventure for 10 or so days. I wish she would take us with her!!

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Molly. We went to the Legion last night. At first I didn’t care to go , but the weather cooperated.

Sarah’s last final was yesterday. She needs to complete a few hours at the animal shelter…then come home. Woohoo!

I saw that about Prairie. Hope it’s a fun thing.

    • mustknowhistory says:

      From the Goldberg article:

“I even know some people who make really important decisions they disagree with just to avoid making their wives angry.”

      Jonah does make me laugh.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Jonah has a way with words and humor, yes! It sure helps these days!
