  1. Jemian says:

I am home. Actually, I am at work. Class starts tomorrow.

  2. The Raven says:

I’m watching the Dallas/Green Bay game and the officials seem to be in the home team camp (Green Bay). Some obviously bad calls when even after review were not overturned.

    • The Raven says:

Update: It just got worse and obvious….the official in the replay booth is on the take. He just gave the game to Green Bay. And the coach knew if he challenged, the guy in the booth would make the call in his favor. Really bad. Sick.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Ugh! Too bad

    • lysie says:

      Saw the calls in question.

    • tillacum says:

Dalla vs Green Bay. Sorry we lost. I did get a chuckle out of the “little” frakas on the field.
The boys looks like walruses arguing over space, bumping into one another. It did seem some of the calls were one sided, but Hubby said, the game was fair. But wait till Green Bay faces the Seahawks.

    • The Raven says:

I beg to differ with the refs……the call at the end of the half was wrong……and there was a catch near the end that the same ref reversed that was bad for two reasons… is the ground caused the fumble and two the evidence needs to be overwhelming to overturn

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

Good, good. Almost the last leg of the trip, Jemian

  4. tillacum says:

I saw world leaders linked arm in arm, but didn’t see the leader of America? Golf game today?

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  6. The Raven says:

Remember in Psych 101 they reviewed the Milgram experiment (people were following “orders” to zap with increasing electric shocks a helpless person in a room- supposedly simulating Eichmann and the Nazi concentration camps)?

I wonder if we can put together a similar experiment with liberalism/guilt. You know, have a poor person in the room and after a government politician hand wrings and whines, the test subject pushes a button to release hundred dollar bills on the poor person (just to quiet the politician?).

  7. lysie says:

Rav, Lysie…we started using those 9 month flea collars a couple of years ago and they are great. I think they are something like $50 — no more squealing and running for cover.

What brand and where did you buy it?

Never had much of a flea problem until the last 2 years. Our vet said she has more complaints over the 2 years.

  8. tillacum says:

Happy Birthday to your Mom. That’s a great age to achieve. My uncle was 100 and missed his 101st by a week. He was a foxy fellow….loved the girls and loved to meet with fellows for coffee and gosip. That group knew everything going on in town.

  9. The Raven says:

    Bringing this over from yesterday:

Federal prosecutors and the FBI have recommended felony criminal charges be filed against … former Gen. David Petraeus for slipping classified information to his former mistress

Is this sick or what? Is this for real or does he have something on the Obama administration? Is this related to Sharyl Attkisson?

    • lysie says:

      Hmmmm. Appears to be….Attkisson- like.

    • tillacum says:

Right now, we have had over 137 General Officers (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard) removed “for cause” or some sort. For reasons we’ve not been told, even senior Enlisted men and women are being relieved of serve for whatever reason. Our military are forced to adhere to muslim ways. We’re in a world of trouble and our media is helping obama make our country weaker. Petraeus is another Officer obama must ruin.

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning, Molly.

Sun shining, but a tad too cold and windy. Still, it’s a fine morning when the sun shines.

    • tillacum says:

It’s been kinda cool in central Texas, lately. Down in the 20s and 30s at night and up to the 40s and 50s during the day. Quite a bit of wind. Can’t get to our community garden. It needs help.

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Happy Birthday to dad.

PS- My mom turns 98 on the 14th

    • lysie says:

Happy early b’day to your mom…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my, happy birthday to Dad and Mom.

My mother lived to her mid 90s.

    • Jemian says:

      Happy birthday to your dad.

Hubby and I are waiting here in Tokyo at Hameda airport for our flight to Indo. United was about 2.5 HOURS late getting to Narita and we missed that connection. So, United made us get out luggage, go through Japan customs and immigrations, ride on a bus for an hour to this other airport.

I understand delays. But it was United’s fault. They should have fixed ALL of it. That means
      1. Having agents at the ramp as we got off the plane
      2. Have agents who were fully informed instead of apologetic,
      3. Handled all our luggage themselves,
      4. Shown us where bathrooms were,
      5. Given us a bottle of water for that bus ride,
      6. Met us at the new airport to direct us further,
      7. Had their sister airlines open the check- in when we arrive, not making us wait an hour for that, and
      8. Given us meal money for the meal we had not planned on buying.

I will take their lack of customer service into consideration when booking our next flights.

    • lysie says:

Upsetting for sure, Jem. You are dealing with soooooo much. Prayers continue.

    • tillacum says:

Hmmm. That’s interesting. Today I’m fixing creamed beef over bisquits and some sort of berries. We have a fellow staying with us who is doing some work for he city. Our civic duty. He’s a nice fellow and terrific artist.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, you are making progress, aggravating as it is. What’s that expression? Keep Calm and Move forward?…something like that. Unfortunately you need the airlines’ help in the process.

    • Jemian says:

We had a good rest at a nice hotel, although I could have slept longer. We’re at the airport now and will be catching the red-eye home. We’ll land about 0800, go home, and then whoosh ourselves up to the school. Teacher in-service starts at 0830 and so we need to arrive before it’s over.
