America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- January 17 , 2015 – January 18 , 2015 Remember 9/11 ( Weekend Edition)

Things are getting a little tense between some Dems and O in regards to whether the U.S. should impose new sanctions on Iran amid ongoing negotiations over the country’s nuclear program. The latest lovers spat was between O and Sen. Robert Menendez. O accused those supporting sanctions of doing so because of political donations. Menendez said he took “personal offense” to O’s accusations. Have no fear. In a few days they will kiss and make up.

On a lighter note. I saw a local ad yesterday. In it …..spring items….greenhouse….seeds….etc. Whoohooo.

Hi ed. Congrats on the successful surgery. ((hugs))

Sheesh! The Packers gave that 2nd half to Seattle.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, yes! Congrats to you ED! Evening everyone.

Sounds like those young Bonnie and Clyde kids have been caught. Thank goodness there were no lives lost or people hurt…just plenty of anxiety, and so forth. It occurred to me that an interesting twist to the story would be that the young, young girl was the mastermind and orchestrator of the whole thing.

And what about the book about the boy who went to heaven and came back!!?? Big seller. but now we learn, total fabrication. Well I am glad I never spent time on it.

We had nice morning at church. Afterwards, everyone was in a lingering , chatty mode, so that was nice.

    • lysie says:

      Good evening, Molly.

Our day went well, too. Didn’t do much other than enjoy our pets. They are so comforting..at times.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I agree. Comforting and soothing creatures. My cat is so often on my lap, or close by.

This is getting old – every week another lie exposed.

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

Good morning, all, and thanks lysie for that lovely breakfast.

Rainy am in Northern VA today, intermittent, then fog. Nice day to stay indoors. But, I am going for a walk. The cold has kept me indoors, flabbing up, need some exercise. It may be rainy but at least it’s 40 degrees, not 20 or less. I can’t remember the last time our schools were open for a full 5-day week. This past Tuesday we had a light dusting of white stuff, didn’t even cover the whole lawn, and sure ’nuff, schools closed for the day. They say the roads were icy. Maybe so.

Am planning to get to the Sharpton MLK celebration in NYC tomorrow. Not. Apparently, Hizzoner deBlasio is skipping it too. Can’t imagine why. Could it be that Sharpton has become persona non grata? How did we get to the point in this country that a fraud like that is taken seriously, is consulted by corporate heads, mayors of major cities and even the president of the United States, and gets his own TV show, all the while owing millions of dollars in back taxes that would have landed you and me in the clink?

ohhhhh, you may recall I had cataract surgery last year and after a lifetime of coke bottle glasses/contact lenses was seeing unaided (well, except for the lens inserted inside the eye). Well, doc wasn’t completely happy with the way the lens wrapped around the eye, so this week I had yag cap laser eye surgery. Just amazing. Result is that not only can I see now, I can see 20-20 with amazing clarity and focus. Now I want to be a Navy jet fighter pilot.

    PS: Je Suiz hungry, Lysie.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning! We may be getting some rain here…not sure.

One of our sons saw American Sniper last night, and recommended it…We had already planned on going Tues or Thurs…busy week ahead, but we should work it in.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Molly.

      Warmer here, today, too.

I’ve read some reviews about that movie. It appears that it will be a record breaker for attendance. We will be going as soon as it’s in a local theater, not at the mall near Syracuse. I’m not a fan of that mall..

    • The Raven says:

The wife & I will probably see Taken 3 first…..and although I want to see Sniper, she doesn’t like war movies, westerns, sci-fi, or super heros (all the stuff I like).

  5. lysie says:

    Rav, your earlier post…

    Morning quote:

‘It’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why did it have to be Christianity, with its meekness and flabbiness? The “soldiers of Islam” receive a warrior’s heaven, “a real earthly paradise” with “houris” and “wine flowing.” This, [is] much more suited to the “Germanic temperament” than the “Jewish filth and priestly twaddle” of Christianity.
    — Adolf Hitler (from a book review of ISLAM AND NAZI GERMANY’S WAR by D Green in the WSH )

    Good morning everyone.
