America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- February 23, 2015 – February 27, 2015 Remember 9/11

A conference last week on “extreme violence” fooled no one as to its inconsequence. Sorry 0bama, but most everyone knows what we are talking about here, and it IS radical Islam.

Rising gasoline prices are probably here for awhile. Refinery workers are striking, and more workers are joining them.

A significant threat to malls here and abroad has been made by an AQ affiliate. Remember the horrific East African Attack of a couple years ago?? Authorities are taking the threats seriously.

  1. Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my. Some of the Osama bin Laden docs taken at his death are being studied and are they revealing! Looks like AQ was still powerful at his death …not “on the run” and, AND working with Iran..our soon to be partner for peace. Nothing to see here, nope nothing at all. I expect Steve Hayes will have a good article out soon on the matter.

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  3. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

New York State’s Andrew Cuomo now has one legacy not many other governors can claim: Some 15 towns have announced they want to secede from New York and become part of neighboring Pennsylvania.

    – Today’s WSJ Ed.

  4. The Raven says:

I was sitting here staring at the article about Obama having a Hissy fit with the upcoming Netanyahu speech. Why is it that no one likes what Obama is doing? On any matter. And why is he such a poor leader that he needs to use Venezuelan tactics on his critics?

    Related quote:

Obama has a singular skill: getting Barack Obama elected. In all of the elections since 2008, he has shown a remarkable inability to get anyone else elected or to move public opinion in his favor.

    -Jonah Goldberg

    • tillacum says:

True, Jonah, and while charging $40K per lunch per person, he’s telling them what a terrible country they live in. Only in America, can we elect a person of questionable background, tell us how terrible we are.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Truly disturbing. You nailed it till. It takes 2 to tango, as the saying goes, and 0 found his willing partners.

      Good morning!

Last free enterprise taken by Democrats – the internet

    • lysie says:

      Makes me sick…angry…sad….

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, I hang on to the thought that in rare instances, things are DEregulated.

A sad, concerning day, for sure.

    • The Raven says:

The reason for the takeover is fake. They claim companies like Netflix are going to slow down the internet. The reason people are downloading videos is because they can. The technology keeps improving and there is no reason to believe that — just like Intel computer chips – that the speed and capacity of the internet will keep going up and up as technology improves. And when it goes up and up, so will the downloaded bits….as people take advantage of it.

We all know the hidden agenda is control. There are non-libs with free speech on this internet. Can’t have that, can we?

  7. lysie says:

Do any of you remember my post about the friendly juvenile goose and how it flew beside my car for several hundred feet?

Well, I can’t be sure, but I think we may have met again yesterday afternoon. Same vehicle..different location. I was out of the Jeep at a bank ATM when I saw the now older goose on the other side of the street. I said “hello”. The goose crossed the road and was about 10 feet from me. We “talked” for a few minutes. I wish I had some food for it.

Crazy lysie at it again. 🙂

    • Molly Pitcher says:

He likes you! So funny…imagining conversations with his goose friends about you!

    • lysie says:

Molly, you know how there are things you just want to believe?? The goose reunion is one.

Another is ….years ago…when Greg and I were dating I mentioned that my mom worked at Nestle’s. Greg told me about a school trip his class went on to Nestle’s when he was in grade school. He said that the class was in a department that had very loud machinery. A woman walked up to him and suggested that he cover his ears. She covered her ears to show him.

Mom worked in the wrapping room….very loud machinery. To this day I believe that woman was mom. Greg never formally met mom because I met Greg two years after she went to heaven.

I want to believe that happened because that is what mom would have done. 🙂

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh yes! You want to believe, but it is definitely possible! Remember…life is full of odd coincidences…I sure have encountered them, and I bet this is one of those..a blessing in several ways…like Greg remembering it, for one.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

Just finished making the summer vacation plans. I had a gazillion airline miles left over and decided to use them to go to cities we haven’t been to before…….so in August we are off to Barcelona (and upfront in Biz class) then Krakow then Amsterdam. Originally we were going to go to New Zealand but it was too complicated. Now…..comes the hard part…hotels and daily plans

    • lysie says:

      Wow! That is wonderful!!

    • lysie says:

This dang cold weather makes every joint in my body ache. One degree right now.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Sounds wonderful! Will there be any European cities still left for you to see Raven?

Can you hang out by the fire lysie? Delicious breakfast, btw….Yum!

The cold down here has affected some of our plans, so there is no sure escape, plus…cloudy, windy, windy, windy… Soon will be checking forecasts for route home.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Jihadi John’ s I.d. Has been made public…some London radical Islamist, the monster

    • The Raven says:

Molly….this will be the last trip…..still haven’t been to Islam countries…..Greece, Morocco, Turkey…haven’t been to Dublin, Russia, and the Southern East Bloc (Yugo, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, etc)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Of those, Dublin and Greece sound the best. Cousins of mine lived in Kracow a few years ago. They really liked it . He was managing a plant there….big US company…can’t think of name. But there seemed to be a good sized international community there, plus they found the locals welcoming….still can’t remember company name…MN based…

    • The Raven says:

3M, Best Buy, General Mills ??

    • Molly Pitcher says:

3M! Bingo…thank you…anyway, they enjoyed their time in Kracow

  9. The Raven says:

Net neutrality is a back door to speech regulation – specifically liberals controlling speech. We should be marching on Washington.

Iran getting a nuke is another reason to March.

    How to we get started?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Some of us did march back in’09 and ’10, and ’10 was a big year for conservatives. ’12, not so much

Not so much marching in ’14, but voting, yes. A good year. Well what has any of it gotten us? With spineless Rs and a determined President who is not giving up. Time has run out on what we can do with present day crowd.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

If there was going to be any improvement, it’s less and less likely as neither side shows any indication that it can change, the Rs said they’d heard the message the electorate had sent them, but no that did not happen, at least among the leadership. Promises, promises…

  10. Molly Pitcher says:

ISIS war on People of the Cross…. The end of the article quotes a line from one my favorite hymns – and a contemporary one too! – by Keith and Krystan Getty. Very powerful, and beautifully used in this article

  11. tillacum says:

The weatherman has been quiet as a church mouse about what is happening outside our windows. IT IS ******* It is just beautiful outside. I know, y’all have been dealing with this for days and days. I need to take a picture of this. It is nice an fluffy. The golf course is beautiful. I’m loving it. I know, I know….It’ll kill the fleas. Beautiful in central Texas.

  12. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Wow..he is good.
I wonder if it would help to have a parallel bill for the Obama immigration. You know…..budget bill A is for everything except Obamagration. And Budget bill B funds Stinky. That way we make it official and it is all in the open. If it doesn’t go by the rules of Congress to have two bills, well then so much the better, as these are trying times.
Unfortunately, the Rinos will cave in. And again, more harm than good will be done with their strategy. Then the courts will say, well Congress has approved…..we might as well drop the stay.

    • The Raven says:

WE ARE LOSING HERE TOO. The real reason for regulating the internet is so they can regulate speech. The ATRW’s and Free Republics will be under attack in favor of Huffiington Puffington Posts. Dog gone it…what are the ‘Pubs doing? Their strategy is to 1) Rollover and play dead or 2) Roll over and play dead.

    • The Raven says:

OMG–that is what the Pubs are doing…..two seperate votes.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

The Rs don’t even try to win the public. Pathetic.

  13. Molly Pitcher says:

Bravo! Greg Gutfield gave a stirring defense of 2nd amendment rights to start off The Five show just now.

  14. lysie says:

    No surprise here….

    President Obama vetoes Keystone bill

  15. lysie says:

    Thanks for the links, Molly.
Why can’t/won’t the Republicans STOP the internet power grab?? Idiots.

  16. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Morning Quote:

Republicans need a strategy that is easy to understand, broadly popular and difficult to oppose. It must unite Republicans and divide congressional Democrats, while empowering Republican governors and legislators to resist administration pressure. I believe that strategy is what I would call “the freedom option.” Every American should have the right to decide not to participate in ObamaCare: If you like ObamaCare and its subsidies, you can keep it. If you don’t, you are free to buy the health insurance that fits your needs.

      – Phil Gramm in today’s WSJ outlining his proposal to fix Obamacare.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

You mean, real choices? Honest to God, not Dem-lying choices??

      Sounds fine with me.

Thanks for breakfast, and good morning.

I want to pay only for my choices, too. Phil Gramm being Phil Gramm, that’s probably in his proposal….

    • Molly Pitcher says:

So Greg is doing all right still?

    • lysie says:

Yes, Molly. He is doing well. Thanks.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Very good. I think mkh wrote something on Sunday afternoon to you…not sure if you caught it…

    • lysie says:

Molly, and MKH, yes I read MKH’s / your post.

Greg has an appointment mid-March with a gastroenterologist. We will see what he has to say. Thanks for all your information, MKH.

    • mustknowhistory says:

I am interested in aloe juice. Does greg take this and does it help?

My situation is not so serious and I am still being treated by a GP, not a specialist. The important thing for me is to keep everything moving along my digestive tract.

    • lysie says:

MKH, Greg doesn’t take it , but I know others who do.

While Greg was in the ER I asked the nurse about Aloe Vera and at least she didn’t shriek in disgust. However, she didn’t come right out and say that it is proven to work.

Till and ed commented on Aloe Vera and they approve.

  17. The Raven says:

More lawlessness. Can we put these people in jail after they leave office?

  18. Prairie says:

In the link about Taya Kyle at the Oscars that Raven posted, I must say that I didn’t care for Taya’s green gown….too revealing IMO. I did like the dress on the black woman from the press who was interviewing Mrs. Kyle. BTW, gauging by her biceps, that reporter must bench press 200 lbs. Wow!

Most of the dresses that I saw in pictures today were an endeavor in nudity to some extent or another. I guess these actresses figure that if they work that hard for their figures, they should be able to expose them on the red carpet. Yaaawwwwnnn.

Not surprising about American Sniper being snubbed. Personally, I’d view that as the highest possible compliment if I were the producers.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

And in other news…. more horrific burnings in Anbar province, Iraq. Confirmation of up to 200 is possible….within miles of our base there.

And did you hear about a “ring of peace” by Muslims to protect a synagogue in Oslo? Total hoax, affirmed now by news sources.

  19. Molly Pitcher says:

We are smack dab on the Gulf, and it is cold here too. Let’s all book a Caribbean cruise together.

  20. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  21. The Raven says:

I told my wife a couple of days ago that “American Sniper” has two things against it. 1) No liberal agenda attached and 2) Clint Eastwood. And sure enough it was snubbed last night.

  22. Molly Pitcher says:

lysie… When you can , will you please fix the date on the heading? I can’t seem to get it done using my IPAD. Thanks! Feb. 27, not Feb 29…..
