A draft nuclear agreement with Iran may soon be agreed to per deadline goal…..though not made public. This element, among others, are raising alarm bells. Former DIA Michael Flynn, in particular, was critical this Sunday of this likely agreement.
Here are a couple of thoughts…
First of all, those critical of the process and agreement often compare the administration’s stance to that of Neville Chamberlain and his appeasement of Germany before WWII. But….it is far worse than that. Germany had not been in conflict with Britain for years. Hitler wasn’t routinely yelling “Death to Britain”. Germany wasn’t killing British soldiers with IED-armed surrogates, like Iran has been doing for years to our forces in Iraq. So if this is Appeasement, it is way, way, way beyond Chamberlain style appeasement.
Second, there are reports this weekend that the U.S. is acting as Iran’s agent in these negotiations. This report comes from an Iranian defector…a former media person for Rouhani. And we know that the administration and Obama are acting more in concert with the Iranians, than they are with our own Senate, normally and constitutionally, given the right to consult on and agree to agreements of such magnitude. So, in a contest between the Iranian government and one of our own government bodies, the Iranians seem to be winning, thanks to Obama. Strange, huh?
Is either of these choices comforting? What strange, very dangerous times we live in. And only a few, like Gen. Flynn, seem to be talking about it.
Iran backs away from key detail we shall see if Iran is firm about this, and how the administration responds…ha, ha..
