America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- May 11, 2015 – May 15, 2015 Remember 9/11

It’s a rough night in n. central Texas where water rescues are ongoing amid a lot of flooded landscape.

Sadly 2 police officers were killed, perhaps assassinated, in Hattiesburg, MS this weekend. 4 suspects were quickly arrested.

Did you know the number of shootings in Baltimore has risen dramatically in the wake of the Freddie Gray death?

Should we expect the Pamela Geller free speech controversy to continue this week? I think one week was enough of this Leftist madness.

  1. Prairie says:

Thank you for all the well-wishes everyone. On top of everything else I somehow overnight developed a sty in my right eye. But that is just an annoyance, primarily. Warm compresses feel pretty good….

    • lysie says:

      Prairie take care. HUGS

    • Prairie says:

thanks, I’m trying. Rolling up to a traffic signal at a decreasing speed this morning somebody about two or three cars ahead of us must’ve suddenly jammed on their brakes because then the car ahead of us slammed on their brakes, we slammed on ours and just then we heard….BANG! Sure enough the car two cars behind us rear-ended the car directly behind us.

Somebody probably texting and driving or talking on their cell phone…Sure glad it wasn’t us that got hit.

  2. Molly Pitcher says:

Crash site located no survivors expected…..

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Gooood morning. Rain here finally….am hoping…am hoping….am tired of dragging hoses around…../whine

    • The Raven says:

I don’t understand why adults argue over whether Obama and Clinton used the video as a political tool. Obviously they did. State it as a fact and call them dopes and move on.

Arguing on how they covered it up takes away from the real objectives.

    • lysie says:

      Agree Rav.

More troubling is a dream I had last night. Egads, I was a Hillary Clinton employee and hated every minute of it and told her so. It was awful!!!

    • The Raven says:

Lysie, whatever you do, don’t send a contribution to the Clinton Foundation – look what happened to poor George.

Molly…..I just bought one of those 100 ft expandable pocket hoses as the better half had the same whine as you.

Everyone: ROFL—A full 2/3 of the people signing up for Obamacare lied or underestimated their income and got more subsidies than deserved. When they do their taxes, they have to pay it back.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I remember conservative policy experts like Betsy McCaughey saying that would happen…about having to return money for 0Care…surprise!

  4. The Raven says:

Pelosi is predicting the Republicans will rue the day the Supreme Court shot down the federal subsidies for Obamacare in the upcoming King v. Burwell decision.

Typical Dems… matter what the reason for their failures, they blame it on the Republicans.

In this case, they get caught cheating.

  5. Prairie says:

Good evening everyone. Checking in here, as I will not be able to for a while I am having abdominal hysterectomy (why do I always see the word “hysterical” in that procedure)? This will take place on Monday and I’ll be down for a couple of weeks. The good news is that there is no bad diagnosis associated with this, but the MD feels it should be done. So, here we are.

Mr. Prairie will have his hands very full for the next several weeks. Sigh….

    • Prairie says:

Actually I’ll be down pretty hard for two weeks…..full recovery about 6 weeks.

    • Jemian says:

Oh, Prairie. I will pray for both of you and for the surgeon’s skill as you undergo this. I’m sorry that it is necessary. Be prepared for a depression for a period after the operation. That followed both a procedure to remove some cells from my uterus (said to be pre-cancerous, although I suspect the doc wanted to play with his new laser scalpel) and when I had my gall bladder removed.

The reason you see hysterical in that word is because they are derived from the same Greek root. In this, I feel, the Greeks were a bit misogynist.

    • The Raven says:

      Oh my…

Please heal quickly. During recovery, you can always check in here at ATRW for an on-line “chicken soup” for hysterical removals.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh dear prairie you will be in our prayers for sure. You will get past this, and we will be here to welcome you back. ((((prairie))))

    • Molly Pitcher says:

LOL! Raven as usual, you crack me up…….

    • lysie says:

Prayers for you Prairie….hugs , too.

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my! That is lovely and delicious

Good morning….I sure hope the authorities & families have been able to account for everyone from that accident. Last night I think there were still 2 missing….

    • The Raven says:

      Yo !!

Well, I got the truck. Yippee.

Very nice smooth ride…..except, at highway speeds, the passenger seat vibrates like a dog passing a peach pit. And I left stuff in the truck I traded in. And my Tennessee “T” is still on the tailgate of the old truck. And the old truck radio presets are for all conservative stuff.

And, as a bonus….our vacuum cleaner and printer both broke within an hour of each other.

    • lysie says:

      Jeepers, Rav,

    • Molly Pitcher says:

oh, dang…well that is a mixed report. But that seems to be the case around here, too…one thing is fixed, then quickly…something else falls apart.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Have you had a busy day, too lysie?

    • Jemian says:

Rave, I hope Day II with the truck will go better than the first.

  7. Molly Pitcher says:

Looking at the devastation of that train derailment….surely must have been going at high speed to have produced that kind of destruction and damage.

I see the WH has already politicized the event by calling for huge amount of spending for the rail line.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thank you! Did you see the photo of Raven’s truck on the Weekend thread? We lost our summer days, darn…still need rain

    • lysie says:

Cold today so I’m making chicken soup to help get rid of the chill.

    • lysie says:

Yes, Molly. Rav I forgot to comment about that great truck. I like!!

      Frost warning tonight for us.

    • The Raven says:

Still don’t have the truck….it is on its way from Texas.

Today is tree day – We have a 70 ft high majestic maple in the front of the house…..and it is top heavy and probably will break and crash into the house if we don’t address it.

Last week one of the higher limbs broke off from its own weight and crashed in the front yard……luckily no one was there.

So we are paying some big bucks to a tree service to trim the top and fix it. I hope it still looks as nice when they are done.

      Dems in the news

      Double Standard.

    • lysie says:

      Good luck with the tree.

    Morning Quote:

If Hillary could be found, she’d claim this was not true.

    – caption to an article about Hillary hiding from the Press.

    Lefties in the news.

South Korea’s spy agency told the country’s lawmakers Wednesday that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un executed his defense chief for falling asleep during a meeting and talking back to the young leader.

    – FOX news

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Megyn Kelly describes Hillary! as in the “presidential protection program”….Plus the WaPo (?) has a clock keeping track of her growing time away from impertinent reporters.

  10. lysie says:

    Happy birthday to Yogi Berra.

You can observe a lot by just watching.
You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I’m not hungry enough to eat six.
It ain’t over till it’s over.
It’s like deja-vu, all over again.
Half the lies they tell about me aren’t true.

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  12. The Raven says:

    Passing thoughts
    – Well, Walker comes out for controlled immigration (as opposed to the current over-the-top uncontrolled immigration) and he’s called a hard-liner.
    – Barack [the video did it] Obama just missed an excellent opportunity to blame the snubbing by the Sunni arab leaders on Pamela Geller

  13. The Raven says:

Big news from Seymour Hersh – Obama lied……re: Bin Laden

    – The Pakistanis had been essentially holding bin Laden captive at the Abbottabad compound for years.
    – The CIA learned of bin Laden’s location from a Pakistani intelligence official who tipped off American operatives hoping to claim the $25million bounty on the terror leader – not from interrogation of an al-Qaeda courier.
    – Top American officials negotiated with Pakistani officials to let them carry out the operation to kill bin Laden on Pakistani soil.
    – There was no vaccination program used to college the DNA from bin Laden’s compound – it was all made up as part of an elaborate cover-story after the fact.
    – The Pakistani intelligence service, ISI, cut power to the neighborhood where bin Laden was hiding on the day of the raid and made sure no Pakistani forces would not interfere with the American choppers flying into sovereign airspace.
    – There was no firefight during the SEAL raid – the only shots fired were those that killed bin Laden, whom Hersh described as a feeble, unarmed man.
    – There was almost no useful intelligence information found his compound.
    – After he was killed, bin Laden was not buried at sea, but instead buried in Afghanistan.

  14. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

Thank you Molly for subbing. Missed everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

WE missed you! And you had a great time, I hope.

    • The Raven says:

      Yeah…Lysie’s back !!!

I have a question for you mothers ( a day late – should have asked on Mother’s day)……why do our grandkids — with hundreds of dollars of toys to play with — instead take things like – fragile knickknacks, crystal bowls, a heavy replica of the liberty bell which can be banged into the coffee table for additional fun – and then cry if you take it from them ??

    • The Raven says:

Amercian idol ends this week forever

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Grandkids like attention, and know they will get it if they start banging on the nice coffee table with a cherished heirloom??

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Confession…I have watched a total 2 minutes of AI….how many years has it been on? Why is it ending?

    • Jemian says:

I’m glad you are back, Lysie. I really, really would like some pancakes. BUT … no!

Rave, I am assuming that is a rhetorical question, and is really one of life’s imponderables.

    • lysie says:

      Thanks, Jem.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi Jemian …You doing all right? You’ve heard about the wild weather happenings stateside, yes?

    • Jemian says:

Hi, backatcha. I’m doing fine. We’re wrapping up the end of the school year. Two weeks left.

I haven’t really been paying attention to the bad weather. It’s been hard to follow. I blame our slow internet, but the real truth is, I’ve been spending our limited bandwidth on some instructional videos. I hope everybody is okay. Springtime in the US can be rather exciting.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, too exciting for too many…but not in your favorite area as far as I know…
Well, congrats on another year’s completion!

  15. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

“There isn’t substance for the summit,”

    – an Arab official on why 4 of 6 Middle East emirs are snubbing Obama’s Washington summit on Iran

    Morning quiz:

What do the web sites,, and have in common?

    a) They are registered to a Democrat.
    b) They are all registered to a Republican
    c) They all were paid for by Clinton Cash !!!
