America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- May 18, 2015 – May 22, 2015 Remember 9/11

Hello!

A unit of US Delta force entered Syria the past days and killed a significant ISIS member, Abu Sayaff, and captured key intelligence material.

Meanwhile ISIS has captured Ramadi, Iraq.

Where are we really in facing this enemy? Is this progress….or not?

I see there are Dems out there saying they are most afraid of Rubio as a candidate. Is that because they really are or is it a trap? They really are afraid of Walker since they have already thrown everything they had at him and nothing stuck to the wall. But they would have a better shot at the rookie?

I am home, came home Wed. night. Recovering I think. Yesterday felt as if I’d been hit by a truck, today more like a small model car. The experience was not without incident but I survived. No complaints about the actual care, just some unfortunate stuff that didn’t work as it should. Medicine is an inexact science.

Luckily we now live in a place where people actually care about one another, unlike our experience for so many years in the People’s Republic of Chicagoland. Numerous casseroles and meals being planned and prepared to be brought over. Cards, texts of support. Thank you for your kind words here.

I heard where Stinky believes that Law Enforcement uniforms should be made to have a “softer” look so as not to antagonize the feral residents of certain cities like Baltimore where the prosecutor appears to be squarely on the Grievance Industry Gravy Train. And the ME is falling fasting than a new bride’s panties. And the beat goes on……

      Good morning everyone.

What an awful, grim story that quadruple murder is….and still more details to come.

Good morning everyone. lysie…wanted to let you know I appreciated the grits you had for us the other morning!

    • The Raven says:

How did breakfast get on my post? Did I do that?

    • lysie says:

The man accused of the quadruple murder lived about 30 miles from us in the year 2003 and had a record back then.

    • lysie says:

I did it , Rav because I wanted everyone to read your links.

    • tillacum says:

I doubt it. Only the crooks have guns. GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! Today it looks
like the rains may pass over us. We’ve had rain for 2 months and more. It’s a good
thing, but it’s getting boring. Yesterday it stayed in the low 60s. Amazing, usually we’re
sizzling at this time. The golf course looks great, the plants are loving it we’re begging
our friends to take one more squash. This “climate change” is going to drown us. I guess
that’s what thee Obama meant when he said climate change is our greatest danger. (???)

I hope prairie is doing well…recovering and getting better everyday!

    Good morning everyone.

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

ok….we are going in reverse now with the temps….well it was a nice summer while it lasted…

    • lysie says:

      Chilly and windy here, too.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning! Some person had a “news conference” yesterday, and the answers were pretty astounding….eye-rolling, head thumping astounding

    • The Raven says:

      Argh
Last year our garden was overwhelmed by a strawberry like weed and this year I thought a landscape fabric would solve the problem. So I roto-tilled the garden, fertilized and raked it, and put the black fabric down with no soil on top for weeds to grow. Then I cut holes or slits where the veggies were planted. Yesterday, I was admiring how well the tomato plants, beans, cucumbers, and spinach were doing and to my horror – noticed the black fabric was about two inches higher than it was supposed to be. The darn strawberry weed was growing under the fabric and pushing it up like it had a fan under there. To coin a phrase my grandmother used, ARMAGH (*%)*^%(*&&###@#*&!!!. Now what!!

Then…..I had an annual maintenance appointment for my boat. It is an all day affair – I have to drive the boat to a loading ramp down the street and after loading on the trailer, drive it about 2 hours to the dealer. — So I get out about 1000 feet on the lake and push the throttle forward to go faster, and the motor goes dead as well as the panel gauges. To coin a phrase my grandmother used, ARMAGH (*%)*^%(*&&###@#*&!!!. Now what!! Well, I had to use that emergency wooden oar they put in the keel for such things. I paddled back to a neighbors dock and got a long rope and pulled it to my house. Then I called a local mom and pop boat repair place and asked if they could help. These two guys show up in about an hour and start checking fuses. I had checked fuses before they came but was surprised that there were about 20 or thirty fuses on the engine that I had no clue existed.
And it took them maybe an hour, but they found a 15 amp mini fuse that was blown. There was an onboard spare and shortly I was back in business. I asked how much they wanted and the guy says “whatever you think it was worth” I said is $100 OK. And he says –“Oh that’s too much.” Ended up giving him $60 which is only about $20 an hour or less.

But….got my boat to the dealer (Bass Pro) and hopefully they can find the cause for a fuse blowing.

    • lysie says:

      Jeepers. Rav. That sounds awful.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Garden troubles….I hate them.

    • The Raven says:

Yesterday, before I took the boat in …I was on the boat web sites to get an idea of what maintenance I should be getting. One guy in the blog back and forth said he was told to get a new water pump after 2-3 years and it cost a gazillion dollars because of where it is located. So I pooh poohed it as some poor advice the guy got…….then when I get the boat to the dealer and we’re going over what to do, the guy says…what about the water pump? I say What about it? and he says they only last 2-3 years and if they fail, your motor could burn up. To coin a phrase my grandmother used, ARMAGH (*%)*^%(*&&###@#*&!!!.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

But, but….this is why you retired! To handle all this stuff…..ducking…..

    • The Raven says:

Could you see it now? Hello, my name is Hillary Clinton and I have a secret.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hey there….that looks delicious….need it to fuel a busy day, too. we need more rain, but not til after the yard is mowed….

      How are you?

    • lysie says:

      Allergies are kicking in. Boo!!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Victor Davis Hanson has written a very personal essay over at PJM…I will post it later. But you may remember, he lost a dear daughter the past year….and he wrote about that, but there is more to his very tough year. And all thru it, he’s kept working and writing….hm, hm….

    • Molly Pitcher says:

My husband is happy the oaks are about done coming out….

Dang, I just glanced outside, and the telephone line has dropped way low….very easy to notice, and it wasn’t like that just a few minutes ago…a call to the telephone co. is in order……..

  9. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

“They told me if I voted for Mitt Romney, we’d have a condescending president who looked down on his female critics as “little ladies” who didn’t understand how the world works. And they were right! I voted for Romney, and … “

    Democrats in the news

They’ll have to stand on their tip toes to vote

  10. Molly Pitcher says:

Afternoon everyone. Anyone hear Limbaugh today? He made some great comments on how the media (and the Rs) are handling that nagging Iraq war question. Why do the Rs keep accepting and reacting to the wrong narratives….the wrong questions? Where is the offense?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Another question…what about Mad Men? Anyone watch that series, or some of it?

    • The Raven says:

      Yep…heard Limbaugh.

The Dems are real sneaky. They have a strategy. The WSJ touches on it today. Best thing for the ‘Pubs to do is steal the Dem strategy of deny, deny, deny and blame it on the [Democrats]. That is, do not under any circumstances, fall into their trap and steer clear of the narrative. And do not get mean with female reporters. It wouldn’t hurt to get professionals to analyze what the Dems are doing and how to counter.

    • mustknowhistory says:

Knowing what you know now, would you have withdrawn the troops from Iraq. Knowing what you know now, would you have ousted Gaddafi? Knowing what you know now, would you passed Cash for Clunkers? Knowing what you know now, would you have passed the porkulus bill.

      This is fun!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Exactly Raven and mkh.

Knowing what you know now, would you vote for 0???

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Steal their strategy….don’t go along with their playbook…or that of the revolting media supporters…

    • The Raven says:

Knowing what you know now, would you have lied to the people about Obamacare?
Knowing what you know now, would you have voted for Reagan?
Knowing what you know now, did the Democrats ever tell the truth?

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
    Thanks for the start, Molly.
