Good morning everyone.
Good morning!

How about the suggestions here for a new James Bond 007 ??
Jamey Bond. ha….I say Daniel Craig was androgynous enough…..no more of that, thank you. The times call for something much different! Which of course is the point of that funny piece.
How about you , Rav? 007 kind of guy…clever, handsome, funny_______ fill in the blanks.
I was never a Bond fan. Give me Astaire , Kelly, etc. When it rained, dad and I would watch those musical comedies during the summer. A good time. I treasure that.
Me? They’d do better with Milie Cyrus
Yup! You, Rav.
Miley…ewwww!
Oh I loved those old movies, too, lysie .The Gershwin music…so American, I just love it. Those guys made it all look so easy, but it took hours and hours of practice. Astaire especially was supposed to be a perfectionist.
I could watch them all day long after putting on my top hat and dusting off my tails .:-)

Billy Joel…saw a concert. I like some of his songs , but he stunk.
The US Women are beating Japan 2-0….just thought you’d want to know….some people are pretty excited about it….
Now 4-1.
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!
O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!
O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man’s avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!
Lovely. I hope we sing that in church tomorrow. We will, I think…
Beautiful day here
Nice!!

A word from Calvin Coolidge boy we could use someone like him now
Excellent, Molly. Thank you.
Love that Silent Cal !!!
We have nothing but rain for days on end. The above ground pool we have keeps overflowing. I have twice drained it a few inches and it keeps filling back up.
The garden this year is a disaster. Last year we had a losing battle with weeds, so this year, I bought landscape fabric and cut holes for each plant.
A few weeks into spring, the fabric started moving skyward, like it was a giant inflatable toy. The darn weeds were growing like weeds !!! Underneath the weed prevention fabric. I tried to undo the damage but after four hours of weeding I had only cleared a small area.
ARGH. Round-up next. In a garden!!
Darn Rav.
That’s awful….I saw that a couple of days ago, and forgot to ask you about it…all the rain. It’s one on those bad patterns which will change eventually…. But probably not before someone blames “climate change”!
Good morning lysie…hope you are going to have a restful, wonderful weekend.
Planning to do that, Molly. Greg and son spent yesterday fishing at the camp. Sarah and I will join them later.
Tonight at the camp around the bay they will have a “ring of fire around the bay.”
I hope you have good plans, too.
Oh that is so neat! A ring of fire..
Good morning everyone.
