America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- July 27, 2015 – July 31, 2015 Remember 9/11

Remember ‘Jihad Johnny’? Well, he’s been scarce lately, and the speculation is that he’s on thr run, not only wanted by the U.S. and Britain, but also by his former ISIS comrades. A man hiding…for his own life. Hmmmmmm. Pity him, I do not.

And the U.S. Senate meeting in an unusual Sunday session trying to pass a highway bill, trying to revive the EX-IM bank, discussing funding for Planned Parentood, voting to end 0Care, and failing, AND led by rancorous Rs….not a pretty or inspiring sight.

    Evening quote:

I think one reason why Democrats obsessively and often absurdly demonize Republicans, in lieu of any other sort of political discourse, is that they have no idea where to go next.

    JOHN HINDERAKER, Powerline

    T G I F at A T R W !!!

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  4. lysie says:

Hillary is a joke, but she’s not joking. She knows who will vote for her ; the uninformed and the ones who will never admit that liberalism is wrong just because they despise conservatives.

By raising the minimum wage for fast food workers what incentive is there to improve? None.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, we have spent the whole day in travel purgatory. We have been up since 4:30 a.m., and when we reach our final destination , will have been up 24 hours, and that is if our next flight does not have any more delays. We are not flying to the other side of the world either. So there it is. We did get food vouchers from United to make up for some of the inconvenience.

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • mustknowhistory says:

MMM. That breakfast will keep us going all day!

Anybody understand the restraining order issued last night by the LA court? Will the release of the PP videos be delayed/postponed?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh golly, that bit of news got by me…..we will hear more today on it?

      Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, mkh.

I read somewhere that it was a temporary restraining order.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Ok…I got answer….the temp order requires a quick hearing, and then decision which may be permanent. Those decisions can be appealed and then fast tracked….or not. But the basis for those orders will be based on individual CA laws….from my friendly legal source of info..😉

    • mustknowhistory says:

Well ask that friendly source if the restraining order will still apply if the videos were filmed in another state, like Colorado or Texas. Surely Californian laws don’t apply there, even if the company doing the videotaping is based in Irvine, CA.

    • mustknowhistory says:

The court issuing the restraining order is a Los Angeles Superior Court. What kind of jurisdiction do they have?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

There has to be some nexus for the CA court to claim jurisdiction. And yes, if another state becomes involved there is a potential for dueling jurisdictions, but often these entities like to preserve comity. The org. Issuing these videos has probably anticipated some of these issues, tho.

We are traveling now. So I have to sign off til later, when there will be more to learn & know.

    • mustknowhistory says:

Well, I guess CMP is not letting the court order stop them.

Not for the squeamish, which probably includes all of us at this point:

    • lysie says:

Good for CMP. I’ll take your word for the video, mkh. I’ve had about all the insanity I can take for the week.

    • edinva says:

      Good morning, all

I don’t have the stomach to watch right now, tho I know I must at some point. Can’t say I’m surprised by any of this. Just happy some took it upon themselves to exposure the barbarism. And just to he!! with that LA court’s restraining order … release online. hahahahah, outside CA, just get it out there.

Rav, I missed my voting cue last night, spent a long time on phone w/old friends about another who’s not doing well, I mean, really not doing well. I think by the weekend she’ll be in hospice. But I did vote this morning. Up to 153(C), 178(B/W) last I saw. Don’t know how that stacks up vs. El Bimbo.

Another scorcher here .. looks like it won’t break till middle of next week. Still, 2 weeks of serious heat is sufferable. No complaints. Blessed to be able to stay indoors with AC.

  6. The Raven says:

    Democrats in the news:

    1) Pa House Democrat indicted — must be really bad

    2) Obama administration plans to restore federal funding for prison inmates to take college courses
    – you know something is fishy when he spends political capital on people who can’t vote (immigrants & felons)

    3) Law & Order director busted on child porn – I’m guessing this will not appear on L&O SVU [ DUN DUN ]

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I voted again last night….by the end of the day I will try again…a little hard to remember at that point of the day! Good morning.

Raven do you have a favorite…the b & w version, or the color?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      How was your “lazy” day?

    • lysie says:

I unlazied later yesterday morning. 🙂

    • The Raven says:

      Good morning Lysie

Apparently Hillary wrote an editorial praising the business practice of a Boston mom & pop super market ( the fired CEO profit shared with the employees and they went on strike to get him back).

WSJ’s Taranto dug into the story and there’s a good reason the CEO kept all the money inside the company. He wanted to stiff his relatives from their share of the profits!!

Lysie…I like the B&W. It has a chance at second place…..I think the current second place gave up. As did the bimbo

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote:

“The Daily Show” isn’t enduring political satire. It’s more like sports talk radio for liberals. Liberals watch it not to be informed but to get caught up in team spirit, a big part of which is simply mindlessly razzing the other team.

NYP’s Kyle Smith on non-partisan Democrat, Jon Stewart

    • Molly Pitcher says:

ahem …I asked about the photo…I was just curious. It holds my interest a bit longer…the b and w….

    • The Raven says:

      Oops……sorry Molly P.

The color shot was there because my better half thought color would get more votes.

When I first took up photography, I studied from the famous three books Ansel Adams wrote on B&W (The negative, The camera, The print- some of which still applies in the digital age. )…all teaching the “zone system” of capturing the full dynamic range (detail in the shadows and highlights)

You can click on the print a couple of times and see it in the enlarged photo (tree grain and cloud highlights)

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Rav. I fell asleep at 15-5 or something like that.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks for the extra photo info Raven.

The Indians are just turrible, turrible….sniff….maybe, just maybe they won last night…

  8. lysie says:

Thanks for all the links, Molly and Rav.

    Incompetency…thrives with liberals.

  9. The Raven says:

    Democrats in the news.

    Dead woman screams– Incompetent doc?
    IRS criminal again.

  10. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

Which Killed More Black People: Confederate Flag or Planned Parenthood?

    -Sarah Palin

  11. edinva says:

    g’day, Molly .. Lysie … Rav … ALL !

Yeah, it just breaks my heart poor ole Jihad Johnny ain’t gettin’ no luv. Or respect. Cold-blooded, heartless fool. With apologies to fools.

Gotta love the ElderGOP going after Cruz. No one said anything about the truth of his comments, only that it wasn’t Senate Civility. So, it’s civil for the “Leader” to lie to those whom he theoretically ‘leads,’ but it’s NOT OK to point out the lie. Emperor’s Clothes and all that.

Rav … now that I’m synchronized, I’m voting every night. Does the contest end on the 31st? Seems that’s what I saw you post somewhere. I’ll just do it till they tell me to stop. And I DID post @ FB, got a few ‘likes.’ Not bad since have only a few friends 😉

We are experiencing rain now, with a tad of thunder. We can use the rain, tho we’ve had far more this year than the past few Summers.

    • The Raven says:

Yes….you can vote until the 1st of Aug. I have 10 email accounts, I use…and every day….the 24 hours comes a little later. I usually miss the time by an hour and I have to add an hour the next day….I’m up to 8 at night now……before I can vote. I have no chance of winning……just keepin’ ahead of the bimbo.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi ED….You are surviving another DC summer….I helped a friend with a yard project yesterday. Fortunately the area we were working in was shaded, and there was a little breeze. I did get a blister on my hand, but we finished the job for the main part, and she can wrap the rest up as she finds the time. We need some more rain.

    • edinva says:

Molly, we’ve had rain today … sporadic, in buckets. It was sooooo very humid, a result no doubt of yesterday’s rain. And it ain’t supposed to get better any time soon. Ah, gotta love DC summers. So I pass my time indoors with AC and nary a care about the electric bill.

Has anyone seen today’s PP video? I heard about it and am truly amazed at the likes of Cecile Richards and all the pro-death crowd’s attempts to shift focus/blame to the film-makers’ organization that – in a total stroke of genius – incorporated the word “progressive” into their name. Imagine …. doing ‘candid camera’ on them, as if for one second they would ever be honest about what they do if just asked directly ad openly. ha!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, I watched a little of the video. The tone and attitude of the PP staff made me sick. I also heard Geraldo defend the PP scheme as USEFUL for science, etc….another sickening moment.

    • edinva says:

This was posted by a friend of a friend at Facebook. Thought it was well put:

“Strange…I have a timeline with scattered images and hateful comments about the dude who shot Cecil “the beloved lion.” However, these SAME people are silent when it comes to the slaughter and the sale for profit of tiny HUMAN hearts, heads, and livers. Want to be taken seriously in your indignation and horror? Care enough about the monsters who butcher babies for profit first.”

  12. lysie says:

Please say prayers for my sister-in-law and her family. Without going into details, her daughter was involved in a tragic event over the weekend.

    Thank you.

  13. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly.
