  1. Molly Pitcher says:

    Good morning.
Remember to take a few minutes to remember this solemn day and what it meant to our country…those who sacrificed so much, the first responders, the families, and our officials who guided us in the aftermath.

  2. The Raven says:

    Morning quotes:

We have transformed into a fractured society, paralyzed by leftist propaganda and lock-step political correctness. Many Americans, from those studying on university campuses to a baseball analyst for ESPN, are being bullied into submission or brainwashed into believing that our enemies are nothing more than misunderstood souls, justified in mass slaughter because of this nation’s imperialist policies.
And this disgraceful display makes me sick.

    -Andrea Peyser – NY Post
    – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

We are led by very, very stupid people. Very, very stupid people.

    – Donald Trump on Obama et al at the Stop Iran rally

    – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Never before has a U.S. president and a political party consented to funding the enemy.

It’s now the Democrat Party of Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky and Barack Obama.

The Republican Party, particularly their leadership, has abandoned the Constitution and the Treaty Power of the United States Senate. It is recklessly and deliberately avoiding any serious confrontation with a disastrous imperial president. They can stop this. They can invoke the Treaty Clause right now. They can suspend the filibuster rule and vote against lifting sanctions right now. They can stand between Obama and the Iranian terrorist regime and protect our nation and our allies, but they won’t.

And a final word: Let me warn the 7th-century throwbacks who like to chant ‘Death to America’ in their home country. We Americans have been threatened by better than you. We Americans have been threatened by forces far stronger than you, and we’ve obliterated every damn one of them.

    – Mark Levin at the Stop Iran rally

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Excellent…love the Peyser and Levin stuff…well, don’t “love” it cause it’s painful to read…too true and descriptive. And here we are on the 9/11 anniversary…just adds more grief to the mix.

      Good morning!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Are you back in TN for another wet weekend? What did you think of WI…it’s a lovely place, I think…the cows, the rolling hills, the lakes. And friendly people, too!

    • tillacum says:

I agree with Mr. Levin, we have been threatened by stronger forces than what threatens us today. However, we had a President/s who loved our country and countrymen. We also had elected and appointed officials who put aside their personal desires for power and the next election for the Freedom our military were fighting for. Today we have a president who hates everything American and an elected group that is far worse than the president, because they know who and what he is but does nothing to stop his actions.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

That’s a good summary of the challenges we face till…..I am hearing something strange…..I think it’s rain, but it’s been so long I’m not sure…slow, steady rain….?

  3. The Raven says:

    More Breaking:

Democrats block effort to derail Iran nuclear deal in Senate

    Afternoon Quote:

“…the party is in danger of nominating a “non-serious, unstable, substance-free candidate.”

    – Bobby Jindal on Trump after the “Carly face” remark

    Breaking

President Obama has ordered his administration to “scale up” the number of Syrian refugees admitted to the United States, directing his team to prepare for at least 10,000 in the next fiscal year, the White House spokesman said.(CNN)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

UGH!! We must stop this insanity!

In other news, the Baltimore police officers will be tried in that city, and the city’s settlement with Freddie Gray’s family, prematurely done, was intended to influence the jury pool…..Not good developments on that front.

  4. lysie says:

Checking in.at the camp with limited service. Sorry.no breakfast today

    • The Raven says:

At our family picnic last weekend, the Republicans in the mix were talking positively about Trump as the Dems had a deer in the headlight look. I was the only Cruz fan

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Enjoy your time then…with or without the internet.

I am coming out as NOT a Trump fan. Just not. I appreciate his appeal to a degree, but there are limits to my tolerance, and I am very suspicious of him, his inconsistencies, and basic character traits that seem pretty apparent. Again, to be clear….that does not make me an R establishment supporter. Oh no.

  5. The Raven says:

What’s with Trump and the “face” comment? Sheese!

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

lysie I am worried about you considering that the last you wrote yesterday said that you were “sore”.

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      How are you this a.m.?

I took a friend out to lunch yesterday….she has been a little “down” lately…it was a little outing as she had not been to this charming town and restaurant before.
Then, impulsively, we returned to our home ground and got a peach milkshake…split a small one. Weren’t we good?? But it was the last one at this particular C-Fil-A for the season. How about that?? fun, fun…

    • The Raven says:

Another black beaten by whites.. No wonder blacks don’t trust whites/s

This story above reminds me of an incident from my college days. I had a very left wing professor who relayed a story of a Vietnam protester getting beaten up by a cop.
The professor tells the story like the protester was minding his own business and this cop goes postal on him. I find out later that the protester had thrown a water balloon filled with urine at the cop.

      Hmmm..

I’m getting a Libs Lie bumper sticker.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

ouch! I’m hearing some good ads for Relief Factor…a pain relieving gel, I think it is…I think I will get a sample which they offer….well it is a pill, and I’m not sure that is a good idea for me….

  8. Molly Pitcher says:

ok…here’s my bold statement of the day: the Germans are crazy, self-annihilating, crazy.

  9. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yesterday was the latest Labor Day could possibly be, and it was a summer-like as could be, then it got dark pretty early….all seemed….kinda odd.

      Good morning!

    • edinva says:

I read yesterday that the Glacier Natl Park pass from E to W (“Highway to the Sky?” ***) was closed due to winter conditions/s***.

Gonna enjoy the warm as long as possible BUT while we’re in Albany (Tu-Th) temps will drop from low 90s to upper 70s. Fall gonna move in fast, and that next season probably faster. Not. Ready.

*** DH did a summer job on the fire line @ Glacier during college years, possibly best experience – certainly most talked about – in his life. Said that road was designed and built by Swiss because of the mts Alpine nature. Very complex/brilliant design.

    • lysie says:

Agree. It did seem odd having it so late.

Well, the dogs did it again. Yesterday, when I went out to take care of the horses the dogs did their usual running. The smallest dog of the two (60 lbs.) clobbered me as he took a turn too sharp. I landed on my right (good) hip. Sheesh..I’m sore. Not so much the hip, but the side of my ribs.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh lysie….are you taking something? How about topical creams? Please, please take it easy today.

    • lysie says:

Thanks, Molly. I’ll be fine. I’m taking Advil.

I have to admit. It was like playing football with my brother and his friends when younger.

    • edinva says:

Let me correct myself here: the Glacier road that was closed is called both “Hwy to the Sky” AND “Road to the Sun.” I’d show a link but I’m on Amtrak, where wifi works, but is on the slow side. I’m too old/scared to even THINK about driving that road in the best of circumstances.

    • The Raven says:

Ed…when we were at Glacier at the end of July (2009) the road was closed with 20 ft of snow. They were trying to clear it for an Obama visit. He didn’t wonder about the lack of global warming evidence at Glacier.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Stop the presses! Hillary! Is sorry…

ED… Hadn’t heard that about the road to the Sun route already closed due to weather…tooooooo soon.

    • The Raven says:

Sorry for what? That she broke the law? That she comprimised the US?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

But, but……all is ok now! Plus she’s going to be the new, softer Hillary!……. You don’t think it will work???!!

  10. edinva says:

I was opposed to the Iran deal till Colin said it was a good deal. ha!

The powers that be will not let Bernie take the D nomination. They’d see that as forfeiting the election. And rightly so. They will cajole Fauxcohontas into running (for the good of the party) if it looks like there is no way for Hilllary! to win. Which is pretty much what those powers wanted all along.

Enjoying the polls that show Hispanics/Blacks/Millennials are favoring Trump. I like him for the simple prospect that anyone who can simultaneously tick off the Ds and the Rs can’t be all bad. He’s got them all totally flummoxed. What fun!!!

Off to NY tomorrow. Can’t say I’m looking forward to this trip. Tho, it will be nice to see my nephews and their kiddos. The silver lining.

  11. Molly Pitcher says:

Running against themselves. Sure…why not? The Dems…

  12. lysie says:

The boys are well, Molly. Earlier in the spring the hay finding was scarce due to rain. Our supplier is about 15 minutes away. I think we have plenty.. Going with the big round bales was a great idea. The small bales are used if the weather is bad and the boys are inside the barn.

  13. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
