America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- January 18, 2016 – January 22, 2016 Remember 9/11

Hello!

The week ahead: More Market Turmoil? A Monday holiday will provide another day of peace, perhaps.

There will be continued assessment of the Iran deal, now implemented.

And several Americans are missing in Iraq….details are sketchy, but kidnapping concerns are unavoidable.

JRandomFreeper. johnny left us today at 4:33 p.m. He lived a full, ever learning, sometimes exciting life.

  2. The Raven says:

    T G I F

A good thing about the snowstorm is the government shut down. Hah !!!

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Those poor people on the East Coast, etc .. thinking of my cousins in n. Virginia, and ED, stay safe.

      Good morning lysie, everyone.

Dems should carry warning message: Dangerous to your Health. (Thinking about the articles I linked this a.m…..not the storm, or can I blame them for that too??!!)

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote

The best working definition of “right wing” today has almost nothing to do with the ideological content of what right-wingers say or do. A right-winger is someone who disagrees with the liberal narrative, has the temerity to say so and dares to actually try to change the conversation.

      – Jonah Goldberg

    • Molly Pitcher says:

oh my gosh….I just went to NRO to check out further comments, and saw the same word “unmoored”…I used it before seeing it there, by jimminey…well, I don’t and haven’t agreed over the years with all the journal’s positions, but I’ve been reading it for some 50 years now, so it’s bound to have had some influence…

    • The Raven says:

Wow…if that omelet with bacon and muffins was right here, right now……..I’d be really happy

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Not a bad understanding from Jonah….am sure uncomfortable being unmoored from conservative principles, myself, tho. My vote next Fall may take me into that territory, but very, very reluctantly…

      What do you think?

    • lysie says:

      Good morning Molly and Rav.

I wonder. Is O going someplace nice and cozy before the storm?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, and I have some Huckleberry Honey for the Biscuits!

    • lysie says:

Ha! I bet he will have that.

    • The Raven says:

Molly, If it is Trump v Hillary — that will certainly be a horrible choice…..but either is better than the Zero.

    • lysie says:

Sanders is scary, too. Out of spite , I feel some will vote for him not knowing what he represents.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Sanders, Hillary!, Biden, (standing in for 0)….they are all horrible to the nth degree. I will hold my nose, cross my fingers, say a prayer, and vote for the opposing candidate next Nov., yes.

    • tillacum says:

      Mmmm good. Thank you lysie.
Every year, at this time, the East Coast gets creamed with some sort of bad weather. Hopefully it isn’t as bad as being predicted.
Good Morning everyone. It’s cool in central Texas.

    • lysie says:

Good morning, till. Sun shining here…for now. So nice… it is.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning til

One further thought….the establishment Rs have been “unmoored” from conservative, constitutional principles a long time themselves, and that is a yuuuuge factor in our current mess.

    • lysie says:

Yes, indeed. I believe much of that is for fear of being called racist, etc.

  4. Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my…a lot of people in DC for Right to Life event. They will not be going home Saturday. Can you imagine being a chaperone for some of these bus loads of students there?!?

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning everyone….Yesterday was Jan. 20…hmmmm…I will have to recheck my Countdown weeks, but….yes, I will do that before next week’s thread…no use making it any more agonizing than it already is.

    • The Raven says:

Hah! The four liberal Comrades will vote with the party. They don’t have to hear any arguments….just to vote how the NYTimes and/or Obama wants the vote to go. Shame isn’t it…..?? We cannot have a reasoned decision when lefty politics are involved. Will Roberts drift left again? What does O have on this guy?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

David Gregory is now appearing on the Bret Baier report. It is freaking me out! Go away Gregory!

    • lysie says:

Praying that you heal our land, and shine your face on us. Our times are in your hands. We need you Lord. Amen.

    • The Raven says:

David Gregory? My least favorite lib… Then again…maybe Anthony Weiner… Or maybe Polosi or maybe Harry Reid… Or I guess Obama

    • Prairie says:

Rav, there were rumors at Robert’s confirmation that the rules weren’t strictly followed in the adoption of one or both of his kids. Could’ve just been rumors…..but maybe some truth……

  7. Prairie says:

Raven your WSJ quote #1 is interesting. I’ve maintained for quite a while that the protected class is very good at making sure that those in the middle class aren’t allowed to step into their rich class. If politicians vote with these motives…..to unfairly keep people from rising to potential…..and impacting other jobs etc……all I can say is that God is watching. He knows what is in their hearts. And it will no bode well for them on Judgement Day.

Good afternoon everybody. We are hosting and entertaining at a Benefit Concert tonight. Luckily I only have two songs to sing. (sinuses still somewhat sore).

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

I woke up with a very stiff neck. I don’t recall how it happened.

  9. "The Raven says:

    Morning Quotes:

#1 Donald Trump is not right that our politicians are stupid or incompetent. They are very competent at being politicians. Their risk of being long-term unemployed is very low.
There is no politician, or very few, who doesn’t realize that raising the costs of business, via taxes and regulation, reduces jobs and opportunity for citizens. Politicians understand this idea very well, so explaining this idea to them won’t change their behavior.
    – H Jenkins, WSJ

#2 “There’s no other way to say it: Hillary Clinton is very boring. The Democratic presidential front-runner’s campaign stops are, too. The members of her traveling press corps look like they’d rather be anywhere else. So do some of the attendees, who shift in their seats starting around minute 10. Even the campaign staffers pace the back of the room or tap inattentively on their iPhones as Clinton drones on.”
    – Weekly Std’s M Warren as quoted by Fred Barnes in today’s WSJ oped “Hillary Is in Big Trouble”

#3 “… Hillary was like a cat, marking her territory”
    – Early Clinton bimbo Maria Crider

  10. Molly Pitcher says:

Is there big news on the Hillary! email front? I had breakfast with a friend this a.m….came home to do chores, then husband and I went to afternoon showing of 13 Hours. It was even better than I thought it would be. Heartbreaking and powerful…well produced for sure, and the acting..excellent all around.

  11. tillacum says:

Everyone. Joh RandomFreeper is in the process of leaving us. The VA has a nurse with him 24 hours a day. He is sleeping a lot, is calm and peaceful.

  12. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
