    Good morning everyone.

Good morning. Thanks for the breakfast, and sad to report, it’s snowing.

      Palm Sunday Blessings…..and snow.

    • lysie says:

      You are welcome. Ack! Snow?

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote:

“… the reason people are in open rebellion, and make no mistake they are, is not that we lost the battles. It’s that we never fought them”

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino on why the GOP failed to battle Obama’s ‘fundamental transformation’ of the country, and now why we are feeling the consequences.

Loved some of the comments at the end of the article. 🙂

Good morning … lysie, that is one of my all time fav breakfasts. Treated dh to pancakes this am. Only go the high carbs on weekends.

Our snow forecast got pushed back a day, so it’s supposed to happen tonight. Or not. Who knows? Past few forecasts of s*** have been wrong. Fine by me! But it is chilly, and after the nice 60s/70’s weather, feels even colder. But I remind myself, before long we’ll be complaining about the heat. Maybe that’s what’s so great about weather? Something non-emotional to complain about? Besides, by mid week we’re back up to low 70s.

Did I mention we may be empty nesters by mid-April? Sons went with friends/possible roommates today to meet up and decide if they will go forward with the current deal they’ve been negotiating, or find another. Some deal will happen, so it’s only a matter of timing but not final result. The house they’re now looking at is absolutely adorable. And, I understand, has a lovely patio and landscaped lawn, but smallish kitchen.

Absolutely NOTHING on the agenda for the rest of the day, going to just laze, read, see what’s on the internet, maybe a little Netflix. Being old has its benefits! Hope you all are enjoying a blessed Palm Sunday.

    Good morning everyone.

      Good morning!
      How is your weekend starting?
We were out with church friends last night. Good fun and good company…pizza and salad. We had helped support the owner of the restaurant thru a kidney transplant about a year ago. He’s doing well, thank God. We are grateful for good news.

    • lysie says:

Glad you had a nice evening, Molly.

    • lysie says:

What a great win for Tenn. ! It looks like the are playing Syracuse for their next game.

    • edinva says:

G’day all and thanks for the breakfast, lysie (I should always check in here for ideas before making breakfast)

Last night we had a family multi-function dinner. St. Patrick’s Day/Daughter Molly’s birthday/First Day of Spring/Easter/Granddaughter Zoe’s First Easter! Daughter/SIL/grand going to his family’s for Easter, as his brother, his wife and 2 sons are in from Germany for the holiday. Zoe will meet her French cousins in peeson for the first time. Dinner was deviled eggs, sweet potato-kale colcannon, Irish Stew (made with Guinness), Irish soda bread, tea and chocolates. Nice effort of holiday menu incorporation, The downside was, DH returned from a meeting, oh, maybe half hour after we were to leave, only to find we had a flat tire … long story short, Lyft to the rescue.

After a week or more of beautiful warm, sunny days, sprouting daffodils and tulips, and flowering trees in bloom with Cherry Blossoms threatening as the annual festival begins tomorrow, today marks WInter’s Last Hurrah. Overcast, light drizzly rain, chilly, slightly windy. Overnight forecast is rain turning to snow with 1-3″ accumulation, mostly on lawns, but making roads tricky. Basically yuck. At least it IS turning to Spring and we know we’re not facing another 2 months of snow and icy roads. (well, unless we live in CNY, in which case, who knows??)

Is there anything to say about the political crazy season? Never have I seen anything like it, nor could I have conceived of anything like it in my lifetime. So embarrassing. I AM amused at Fox’s chagrin by being outfoxed by CNN for Monday night!!! Man, are they sore! Deservedly so. What a pleasure it is NOT to have cable TV.

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend .. blessed Palm Sunday to all.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Evening ED usual, you describe “the scene”, and your place in it so well and entertainingly. Sorry about the tire, but what a nice family gathering you had!

Guess there was more trouble last night at a Utah Trump rally. Sure hope this stops soon…not good at all.

    • edinva says:

Molly, I don’t know if you saw it, but someone sent a threatening letter with a “white substance” to Eric Trump’s home; his wife opened it. Of course the substance wasn’t anthrax, or whatever, but it was certainly meant to cause the fear. FBI’s on the case; DJT is, after all, under USSS protection. There is no point too low for those who seem to find Trump ‘intolerant.’ 1984, anyone?
