  1. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

It is April 1st. Hillary is a fool, but this is no joke.

Hillary Clinton Loses Patience with Greenpeace Activist

    • The Raven says:

Lysie. I just heard on the news that maple syrup production is depressed due to el Nino and prices will rise. So your hubby’s efforts are especially welcome this year. Also depressed is sugar. So products w/sugar will have price inflation.

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Rav. I’ll let Greg know. Thanks.

    • The Raven says:

I didn’t know this. FBI director Comey was council on the Whitewater committee way back when. I’m surprised Hillary isn’t screaming they’re out to get us. It’s him again.

I suppose they should bring in someone from law enforcement who has not previously been involved with the Clinton’s criminality. But that may mean importing someone from Australia.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Friday already! Yes, no joke about Hillary!

    • edinva says:

Good morning, lysie, all .. with much thanks for breakfast on this lovely Spring morning.

I’d read about Hillary! telling the Greenpeace protester “I am sick. I am so sick…” (no kidding!) and a suggestion that a clip of that should be added to the one of her barking in a Trump ad. This ad can be built upon until it’s “The Best of ….”

Today starts the no- or lo-carb diet. OK, same one I started January1. One day I’ll get it right. At least now I have the shorter term inspiration of beach week in July. So, lysie, you’ll just have to cut the toast out of breakfasts, ok? Ugh, so hard NOT to eat bread and/or pasta.

Today I also have to go into DC amidst O’s “Nuclear Summit” and corresponding protests. Can hardly wait! Wish me luck. Our office is at 6th and Pennsylvania, roughly halfway between the WH and Capitol, so should be lots of street theatre.

Sons signed the lease for their house last night. Still trying to wrap my mind around being an Empty Nester. 34 years out of 35-1/4 we’ve had one or more ‘kids’ living with us. The past few years has been more like just someone occupying a room here. Everyone I know who”s recently become an Empty Nester says we will adjust. Quickly.

    • tillacum says:

Good Morning all. Late morning. Friend retired yesterday and all around her celebrated with her. People showed up that we have not seen some in years. It was a great time to renew, meet new people, and remember the good times.

Rave, Hillary received money from Australia, so we need someone from somewhere she hasn’t received money………..Outer Space?

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, ed and till.

Low carb, eh? I’ll do my best. Stay alert at that summit, ed. ((hugs))Best of luck to your son and you. May you both adjust. 😉

Till, so nice you reconnected with the people. I bet it was enjoyable.

    • Jemian says:

Ed, yay for your diet! I find it gets easier the longer I do it. Rather than saying “low carb,” when asked I say, few sugars or starches. That is much easier for the “non-elect” to understand.

  2. lysie says:

    Thanks for the links, Molly.

Re: The Little Sisters..How about The Big Muslim Brothers (made that name up) be required to serve pork?

    • lysie says:

Sheesh! I went to a grocery store yesterday to buy an item on sale for 3 days. When I got to the checkout I was told that the sale starts Thursday. I thought yesterday was Thursday. I woke up thinking today is Friday. LOL. Knock it off , lysie. 🙂

    • The Raven says:

Hah….that’s funny. Or maybe not. Wonder where this muslim enabling will lead us in the future.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

It’s ok…you’ve been affected for 2 days, I’ve had whole weeks like that. We are resting for a little while…..trying to keep bad germs at bay. Dinner out later wth adults where politics will be big subject

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • tillacum says:

Good Morning Thank you for breakfast it looks yummy.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thank you lysie. Good morning to you, til, everyone…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Daniel Henningers Wonderland column today outlines 0bama’s “greatest” legacy….he is 6 months away from destroying both the R party and Reagan’s legacy

    • edinva says:

Morning, all, and thanks, lysie for beautiful breakfast.

Politics, schmolitics .. I spent yesterday babysitting our 5.5 month old granddaughter!!! Aching back today but totally worth it.

Nuclear summit in town today. No Russia, so worthless. All it will do is create traffic jams. Not much new there. BUT O will take lots and lots of bows and add this to his ‘legacy.’

  4. Molly Pitcher says:

Battle of the Bathrooms Topsy Turvy World, Segment #967

    • lysie says:

Topsy, turvy, inside out and just plan insane.

NY Gov. Cuomo has banned any unnecessary travel to N.C. by his employees. What a guy!!! /S

    • The Raven says:

EPA’s research lab is based in NC

    • lysie says:

We have these in our yard. They are fun to watch and hear.

One characteristic of the American woodcock is the way the male attracts a female. The male American woodcock establishes a territory, called a ‘singing ground’, in an open field, where it will participate in aerial displays to attract a mate. The male begins at dusk by walking around a small area of no more than a few square feet, uttering a low, nasal ‘peent’. After some time, the male stops calling, and begins a slow, spiralling, ascent upwards to between 100 and 200 feet. During this climb, the tips of the male’s wings create a constant twittering sound, which is replaced by chirping during the rapid, zigzagging descent.

When we first saw one do this we didn’t know what to think. 😉

    • The Raven says:

We were on vacation in Vancouver [stop me if I told this before]….and we were walking on an asphalt sidewalk next to the beach when a bird (not sure what kind of bird) flew to the water’s edge, picked up a live clam, and flew high above the sidewalk and dropped the clam. After the clam broke open, the bird had dinner. High IQ birds!!!!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Love the bird…

    • lysie says:

      Rav, smart bird.

Over the years I have acquired huge respect for wildlife. Their search for food and shelter is never ending, especially without an EBT card or welfare. Plus, they would die for their young.

  5. lysie says:

Ugh! Doing taxes. Federal is done, but I need to walk away from NYS tax for a little while. Ugh!

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

Despite the travel, I ‘ve been able to keep up with the last days of Bill Bennett’s radio show…each day’s show is available via his website til the next mornings live show, so that is how I’ve managed, but next week, all those friendly voices from around the country, plus the very decent host and his crew will be gone.

Anyway, as an example of why I have been touched so often…a caller mentioned this great American hero today. I had never heard of him ( that I remember!): Rocky Versace

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  8. The Raven says:

    Can this be true?
The Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg is a Clinton lackey??
I can’t believe the Dems are doing this again.

  9. The Raven says:

Here’s another very bizarre case of liberal censorship.

I saw on Stossel’s program that 99% of the donations from professors went to Dems. It’s like forced union dues.

  10. The Raven says:

    Another quote:

She is a Gloria Steinem kind of feminist. If you’ve ever seen picture or heard Gloria Steinem, just a cold, conniving bitch. That’s just it.

One of Bill’s Bimbos on Hillary

  11. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  12. lysie says:

Almost forgot… Happy Dyngus Day, Polish Water Day.

Dyngus Day is a holiday that is celebrated in Poland as well as in some Polish communities in the United States. This holiday always takes place on Easter Monday and it’s meant to be a fun, light-hearted holiday. It is also called Wet Monday as the tradition of Dyngus Day is for males to soak females with water from buckets, hoses and the like. Traditionally, the females are supposed to get their revenge on Tuesday by throwing dishes, but now most females just soak the men back with water on the same day.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Lots of crazy customs, depending on the group…good evening. No problems traveling except for one poor mom traveling with 2 little ones. She was right in front of me, and very tired I think, and maybe in pain somewhere, based on a conversation I overheard a little.

Anyway the little girl liked to stand on the seat and play with the air controls. Her very little brother liked to sit in the aisles. Everyone around her gave her the benefit of the doubt, but on a 2 hour flight, it was quite noticeable. None of them used their seat belts, even during take off and landing. Of course the flight staff was negligent hugely, and as we exited the plane, my husband remarked on the danger and issues to them.

    • lysie says:

Molly, I mentioned it because when Greg and I were first married he took the sink hose and sprayed me. Then, he explained why he did it.

That is sad that the mother and flight attendants allowed that, Molly. Believe me if my brother and I did that Mom would have given us her famous “knuckle roll”. She didn’t give it often. We learned fast.

  13. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning!
Yes, Easter is over. We had one last dinner last night with our son, and one of our other “sons”…… Bennett is covering the Syracuse game and the coach there.
We are traveling 1 time zone east today to the mile high city. We could have used a little more sun here. Perhaps we will get some there.

    • edinva says:

Molly, you MAY get some sun if they’ve cleared the 2′ of snow they got last week! Amazing the differences among US cities on weather, from sunny/warm to snowy, rainy, drought, fires, floods, tornadoes all within just a week or so.

So glad you had that nice visit with your son and sons.

    • lysie says:

      Safe travels, Molly.

  14. edinva says:

Molly, I don’t think there’s any “might” about it !

Hope everyone had a lovely, Happy and Blessed Easter. With daughter/sil/grand at his family’s home, we had our two sons and a ‘near son’ over to enjoy the day. Several thousand carbs later, here we are, looking up Dr. Atkins!!! You know it’s going to be summer soon with lighter weight clothes, so we gotta get going here. Ugh, not a fun time ahead.

lysie, are you a Syracuse fan? We watched parts of the game. Bummer for UVA, but great for Syracuse. They don’t really cut it as a “Cinderella” team with their grand history, but they did come all the way up to make it to the Final Four, so good on them. AND, from what I saw, at least earlier, the students didn’t burn down the town. Huzza! Maybe because many are home for Easter? Burnings to follow?

I kinda hate that Easter is over (maybe we can look forward to Greek Easter). Obama’s back in town; the Congress will follow. Always a downer!! They will battle over Garland, with O making the Rs look like they are too nasty to let this poor fellow get a vote, as the Constitution requires (it doesn’t require, but he will say so, the press will publish it, and it will become written in stone)

The cherry blossoms were at their peak this weekend … MOBS of people, not even fun to go to any more … I ride the Metro that goes across the river near the Tidal Basin, the center of the cherry blossoms, and get my fix that way. Mingling with a million people just is not my cuppa.

OH, and God bless the people in Pakistan who were killed while observing a Christian Easter there. This has to end.
