America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- April 9 , 2016 – April 10 , 2016 Remember 9/11 ( Weekend Edition)

Chicago’s murder rate is being blamed on light sentencing and misguided reforms. You think?

Bernie Sanders announced Friday he will attend a Vatican City conference next week. …why?

0 Can Move on the Clean Power Bill without Congress, says the Dems….

Smearing Israel Speaking of Bernie….

The War on Women moves to the Restrooms Seems to me that if ever conservatives could win a battle this would be it, but now I never underestimate the ability of the right to capitulate.

  1. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thank you and good morning! Yesterday I made some Italian meatball soup….kale and canelinni beans were other ingredients…very easy. I used no other seasoning except what was in the frozen meatballs…big hit!

    • lysie says:

      You are welcome.

Your soup sounds great, Molly. I use the frozen meatballs sometimes, too.

My parental gram made the most delicious meat-a-balls. 🙂

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Nice memory about your grandmother…I on the other hand, am not about to start making meatballs from scratch! The grocery offered reg size and smaller size meatballs…small size works best for soup

  2. The Raven says:

Cruz sweeps all 34 Colorado delegates.

BTW- I think the recent wave of anti-Trump media attacks are because the left got spooked – must be a poll that has Trump winning.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Rav.

    • The Raven says:

I just added up the remaining states with winner-take-all delegates and it is over 500. So if Trump is only 1 point ahead in those States, he wins the needed amount handily. Cruz needs to win a few of those, and California is the biggest prize – although it is puzzling since CA always goes Dem – they should have the least influence, not the most ( CA is winner-take-all and Texas is proportional).

The media, on the other hand, are always looking at proportions not winner-take-all … same thing with the electoral college and the presidential race. Somebody took a look at the polls in that light and said OMG- Trump will win and he may actually beat Hillary.

    • lysie says:

Right now my concern is the race between the liberal candidate and whoever ours is. Election fraud is my worry.

    • tillacum says:

I think you’re right, and the republican GOPe has been spooked ever since his rallies have had such YUUUGE crowds.
I personally think Paul Ryan will be our next president.
Good Morning Everyone, it’s a beautiful day in Central Texas so this afternoon we’re going to erect a pergola in the community garden. We older citizens need a place to
rest after bending over for a few minutes. The in ground raised gardens seem to sink
      further down each year.

    • lysie says:

Morning , till. I’m eager to start working in our yard.

  3. lysie says:

Thanks for the links, Molly. Not much difference between O and the Bern, is there?

    • edinva says:

Not much difference between the Bern and this Pope, either. I hope, as he once claimed, he IS a transitional Pope and is followed by someone more like Benedict. Ugh.

Been helping dear sons get situated in their new digs … lovely place. Perfect for single young guys. Maybe more suburban than one thinks of for young guys but DC has become waaaaaay too expensive, so they’re about 7 miles out, but 1.5 miles from Metro, so that’s good, an easy bike ride or walk. And DH and I will adjust to the whole Empty Nest thing. I think.

Hope everyone is well today. We had about 15-20 minutes of snow this morning, pretty with HUGE flakes that started to stick to the grass, then once it stopped, the snow all disappeared. Poof! Wouldn’t it be nice if all snows were like that?

    • lysie says:

Hi ed. The high today will be 40 degrees. Tomorrow in the mid fifties. I’ll take it.

    • edinva says:

lysie and Molly … hope you had a break in the temps today… it was so blustery here last night, came home and didn’t want to go out again. So I didn’t! This morning was still low in 30s but warmed up to @ 50 by mid day … and tmo will be 70! Go figure. Then down again, but not so far down as we’ve had the past few days. By mid week back to 60s for a few. Gawd, this is so hard on people with respiratory problems. Glad I’m not one of them.

Dear sons invited family over for a continental breakfast at their new digs today. Lots to be done, lots to buy (i.e., living room furniture, chairs, misc. appliances) but they’ve begun to feel a bit settled in … said breakfast was on the veranda .. what were they thinking???? Had to bring out a space heater. The moving/settling in continues ….

Jemian, are you going to be stateside for good, or just a break? I keep missing postings here. I recall you decided it’s way too costly to do train X-country? And you probably really want to get back to see home sweet home and your family and friends anyway. How long is your flight and/or travel? My SIL just returned from a week in India and said with waits/transfers, etc. he was traveling for 24 hours, but felt fine. I get antsy after 4 hours!! Safe travels to you.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

ED…Snow in April in DC. Wow! Your guys sound like are in good shape with their new digs.

  4. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thinking of you and your family, Rav. ((hugs))

    • Jemian says:

      Good morning. Thanks for breakfast.

    • lysie says:

You are welcome, Jem. How / where are you?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

“The weather outside is frightful…” and it’s NOT Christmas. Ugh….not going out in it as planned. Phooey. Global Warming. Give me a break!
Remember all the dire warnings of the El Nino effect for the west coast a few months ago??? Didn’t happen….CA got some drought relief, but way under the rain predicted…..so much for long term forecasting…..

    • lysie says:

Cold. Snow later. Let’s protest, Molly! We are offended.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning lysie and Jemian….

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Molly.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

If I want to live at the North Pole, I will move there!

      I bet you can’t tell I’m upset…..

    • lysie says:

Upset a tad you are. 😉

The water at the camp park is supposed to be turned on April 15. I bet it’s delayed because of the temps. Hope not.

    • The Raven says:

      >>0 Can Move on the Clean Power Bill without Congress, says the Dems….
WHAT IF WE HAD A DEM CONGRESS AND A ‘PUB PREZ?
What if illegal immigrants voted for Republicans?
What if George Bush had his own email server?

    • lysie says:

      Rav and Molly.

What if a republican administration gave guns to Mexican cartels that were used to murder hundreds of Mexicans and border agent Brian Terry?

What if a republican administration had the IRS target so called political enemies including gays, blacks, Muslims and other liberal groups?

Can we say impeach? Yes, I thought we could.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Honestly, Raven…..asking such reasonable , logical questions….what is wrong with you?.! 😉

    • Jemian says:

I am fine as are all in my family. I’m still in Papua and making preparations to return. I have one more week, more or less, here. All my lesson plans are done. I have subs lined up to take my place. In order to help the subs, I need to make photocopies of all tests, etc. and line things up in a coherent order. Also, I now need to write out specific plans for each day and individual subs, at present the plans are in a grid-format, with periods and dates delineated in a weekly plan. I’ll break them up for each person. Also, I’ll make seating charts and give a heads-up for behavior problems. It is about a day’s work. I was planning to do it today, but, last night, as is the custom here, we were invited to a rather important party in a place about an hour-and-a-half away from here. Finishing flourishes for my absence will wait until Monday.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Jemian, your trip is right around the corner, then. will you be able to post when you are stateside? Maybe have the time? Are you still coming east across the country as you talked about a few months ago?
