America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- April 18, 2016 – April 22, 2016 Remember 9/11

Hello!

There are primaries (individual districts, I believe) in New York Tuesday, Trump is expected to win, and looking beyond Tuesday in California, another Trump win. Meanwhile in smaller states’ contests, Cruz has successfully mounted single-minded efforts to gain delegates. So it appears the Cleveland R Convention may be the most unsettled for some 40 years.

As for Hillary and Sanders…well they are out-doing each other in their swings leftward.

I was thinking of all this earlier as we ate dinner in a hotel that in July will house R delegates. Tonite it was a quiet Sunday scene. But in July? Not so much I think.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Enjoy….in honor of Earth Day!

    • lysie says:

Now you’ve done it, Molly. Gore and Moore will not be happy. 😉

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Awww, too bad

…just across my “wire” …dear friend in need of prayers. Her husband is in hospital with severe intestinal pain, and they are doing tests…She herself, is walking with a crutch, and due for knee surgery soon. It’s just too much.

    • edinva says:

Molly, I pray for an easy resolution to your friend’s husband’s pain. My DH had diverticulitis as well as kidney stones, absolutely doubled over in pain. They can usually get the pain under control pretty quickly, then deal with the underlying issue. In fact, in our family we thank God for kidney stones .. as one attack brought him to the ER where, yes, they found kidney stones, but also a ‘mass’ on one kidney that turned out to be Stage 1 cancer and was easily taken care of, now more than 5 years ago. So that pain turned out to be a blessing. Hopefully your friend’s case is far less dramatic and well controlled quickly.

    • lysie says:

      Prayers up for your friends.

    • The Raven says:

My wife had sever abdominal pain for two years. They did a gazillion tests and more than once kept her in the hospital for days at a time with a morphine drip. We even took her to the Cleveland Clinic. No help. Then they tried a different test. An ultrasound. She had gall stones and after they took out her gall bladder, she’s been fine since. Those pains down there are hard to diagnose….hope your friend is OK

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks all so much! Her husband is such a dear…shy, but once you draw him out he is happy and fun. They seem to have ruled out diverticulitus.
I will let you know. Luckily they have a daughter who lives here, and is very helpful

  1. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  2. The Raven says:

    Democrats in the News

Here is what happens when the Dems run the government too long

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning.Looks….is….delicious.
Cloudy…chances of rain have gone up for sure.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning.

      Chance of rain here, too.

    • edinva says:

how pretty is that breakfast? So colorful and healthy.

Oh, my … went with friends today for our monthly “MetroMom” lunch at an Italian restaurant on Capitol Hill which locale is getting more fashionable every day. It was notoriously crime-ridden for decades. I mean violent crime, not the political kind. Noticed that much of the ‘wrapping’ that has been shrouding the Capitol building for the past couple of years is gone and the building is so very white! Some shrouding remains, but it looks so beautiful (regardless of what goes on inside). Back to the restaurant … it’s the offspring of a restaurant in Firenze and was just absolutely wonderful. Molly, next time you come to town we can go there if your schedule permits. So good!! AND they give away free basil seeds.

    • lysie says:

Firenze you say, ed? My paternal side last name from Sicily.

    • edinva says:

oh, lysie … most engaging city in Italy!!! Your family was probably rooted there, or nearby. Or maybe the city was named for some ancient ancestor??? When my ship comes in, I’d LOVE to return. Maybe in my next life?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

ED That would be lovely…very good idea…I sure have some good memories of my DC trips…footloose and fancy free, you know? Now I would feel less secure…more vulnerable, sad to say.

    • The Raven says:

OMG…look at this…where’s my scream painting?

      Morning Quote:

To say a strong conservative political opinion with conviction in an academic gathering is analogous to uttering an obscenity

      – Unnamed sociologist quoted in a WSJ article on conservatives in academia.

    • lysie says:

Here she is. Looks the type. She has liberal eyes.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Isn’t that something? I linked it above in the headline section about the same time you posted. If in the tour group…I would have been fit to be tied. At least some of the tourists noticed and got the news out there….no matter….no consequences for the “guide” . she will be moved quietly, then allowed to return…

    • The Raven says:

Well, look at this AGAIN...two screams today. Where’s my scream painting?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

A 2 Scream day! Holy Cow….we need an abbreviation of some sort to rate the days, cause we don’t want to keep posting the gif of the painting.

    • The Raven says:

An abbreviation? Well, we already have Democrats in the News.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      ….dead eyes…..

    • lysie says:

      Yes. Duh look.

    • The Raven says:

How can the Park Service allow this? There is no official literature with her gobbly gook. This woman believes the propaganda she was fed – probably by a lefty father. She looks down on all the peons surrounding her. She voted for Bernie, she has had three abortions and no children and she studied her whole life to become a park ranger. It is a mental ailment similar to Munchausen syndrome

    • lysie says:

She should be reprimanded. It’s like a McDonald employee giving a customer a Burger King Whopper instead of a Big Mac. Actually , it’s far worse.

    • tillacum says:

Oh Thank you lysie, it looks so refreshing with my fave fruits.
We’ve just gone through a nice thunder storm accompanied by lightening streaks and
LOUD rain drops on the skylight.
Now out to the backyard and see about the plants. This is really a good time to work a
nice strip of soil and plants some bulbs. I don’t know if I’ll do it though. We’re in for more
      rain, so we’ll see.

    • lysie says:

You are welcome, till. Take care.

    • The Raven says:

Why don’t we have activists? Why can’t we threaten a Rodney King type riot when Hillary’s email verdict is announced? Or when the Supreme Court wanders off into liberal land? Or when cops are shot? Or when conservatives are officially harassed (Tea Party, IRS, Climate)

    • lysie says:

Why? Because we know right from wrong. Plus, the press would destroy us.

  4. The Raven says:

Well, they announced the prosecution of some folks out in Flint Michigan…..saying no one is above the law (except Obama, or Democrats who vote or illegals who vote, or Hillary, or Kennedy’s, or …..but I digress). Any one want to bet they are Republicans????

Probably the two remaining Republicans in Flint.

    • lysie says:

Amazing how some can get away with anything..

    • edinva says:

I was just reading about that, Rav. The 3 charged are just local water authority officials. No one up high yet. The AG is a R. (hard to believe, I know). The current R gov is getting faulted for being slow to respond, tho one imagines the people were put in charge by the former D gov.

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

I love it what do you think??

  6. lysie says:

Molly, I bought this. I’ve used it twice and I think it is helping me. Only problem is I don’t want to get out of the chair. 🙂

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  8. The Raven says:

OMG … Looks like Hillary v Trump in 2016 !!

So why is Kasich there? Is he going to trade his delegates for a VP spot?

    Morning quote:

Billboard has come a long way from the Dave Clark Five

    – Powerline’s JOHN HINDERAKER (see blog on the anti-Trump rappers)

  9. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning! How are you? Am off soon to the gym, where I haven’t been for days and days…other kinds of exercise, but not weights. I am cleared for that and need to get going again…… (gently asking, not hounding) Are you working on yours?

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Molly.

I’m using the exercyle, stretching and have decided to do the rolling pin on the area. I’ll let you know how that goes.

    • Jemian says:

Good WEDNESDAY morning! I am at the airport waiting for the plane to load. Take off in one hour.

    • Jemian says:

This is really cool.mind blowing, in fact. I am in an airplane about 7 miles high and over the Pacific. I needed to write a social studies worksheet for the class tomorrow. So, I take a look at the text, which I had previously copied by way of photos, and wrote the worksheet. Now, instead of emailing it, having it printed for the subs to pass out, I easily uploaded it to my Google Drive. Next, I went to Google classrooms and opened my social studies class. I made the assignment and have each student a copy of the file. The sub will be on hand to give needed assistance, but I will do the grading when the assignments are completed.

    • lysie says:

Too early for me to comprehend, Jem. LOL

Seriously, I’m happy it’s making it easier for you.

    • The Raven says:

I wish Google was owned by the Koch Bros.
At times, I delete it from my computer for acts of liberalism .. but eventually come back

  10. The Raven says:

I am amazed the four lib judges on SCOTUS will vote in favor of Obama in the immigration case. Unbelievable. It’s fun to see how the libs make up their arguments for their side.

The court had asked for arguments on the “faithfully execute” clause and the lib talking points say that Congress had only given Obama so much money for deportation (of 400k illegals) and he has already deported that many so the money is gone.

First of all, the judges should say….”Where in the Constitution does it say if you run out of money, you can pass your own legislation?”
But isn’t it Obama who has open borders? Where is he getting that money? When he runs out, shouldn’t he close the borders? Build a wall?

Second…who in the Western world believes Obama has deported a half a million illegals? Well, there are four judges who do.

Third…since he’s changing the law, why not just allocate more money to himself?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

You are right about that…untethered from the Constitution, anything goes…ah but their intentions are good!! /sarc

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Did you see where the administration is going to do a shorter screening for the Syrian refugees? Why, because there are so many of them, and too few screeners. And why is that you ask (not so naively, but rhetorically)?….because the administration wanted more refugees, and promised more screeners, but it was all a game to them..another promise made and not intended to be kept.

    • lysie says:

      Maddening. Infuriating.

    • lysie says:

Run out of money? Huh? He never runs out of money for Obama phones, etc. He is destroying our country because no one has the backbone to confront him. If someone does the press will step in and call it racism. Sick of it all. Grrr!!

    • The Raven says:

screening syrians? Wonder how many were turned down

  11. edinva says:

lysie … Miss Zoe will go for her 6 mo. checkup during the first week of May … a tad late, but whatever. She looks to be just about perfect in all respects, i.e., height/weight/activity. And, bless her heart, she sleeps from 6:30-7pm till @ 6am. Straight thru! Hope to get some nice pix at the Christening that I’ll share with y’all.

  12. lysie says:

Another beautiful day. Till, stay safe with all the rain you are getting.

  13. Molly Pitcher says:

Liz Warren’s latest idea what is there to say?! Unfortunately …some, not even Leftists, will think this is a good idea.

We are really at crunch time…the State will own us, and soon at this rate.

  14. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly.

    • The Raven says:

IMHO Trump’s biggest asset is he drives libs crazy. Actually, more than Reagan. He drives them crazy because he wants to enforce the law of the land of all things. Remember how Reagan quieted the libs well into the 90’s?
But Cruz drives them crazy, also. If Cruz were the leader, you’d see similar reactions.

    • edinva says:

      lysie, another fine breakfast, thanks!

Rav, they really don’t know who to hate more. It’s been amazing to watch. All attempts at the “Man in the Street” asking WHY they hate Trump, i.e., for being racist/xenophobic/mysogynistic/whatever …. they can’t answer, much less with specifics. But they are having fun with it, I guess. Gotta have someone to hate!!

Molly, meant to ask how proud you must be of OSU’s president for putting down “demanding” students? Similar response now at Clemson. Good for these college presidents, FINALLY !! At OSU the students vacated upon notice, but at Clemson they stayed and were arrested. OSU threatened expulsion if they were arrested and got themselves police records! I sure hope Clemson does the same. Imagine these sorry little BRATS, at the very end of the semester, possibly end of their college career, being expelled. There goes any hope of a degree, or job to help pay off their loans to which they’d still be obligated. The very thought just makes my day!!!

Off to the blood donor bank. Oh, no, not me… they never take mine. But our local hospital supply of O(+) and (-) is dreadfully low, so I kindly volunteered DH!! How generous am I?

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Rav.

It’s fun watching their (lib’s) heads explode.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning lysie, Raven, and ED, everyone….
We are far away from the scene the preceding week in July, but not that week…we will have to keep our heads low I think and just use common sense. I think there may be protestors, traffic problems, extra activity etc. but the center of the all the “fun” will be about 40 miles to the north.

Please someone…I haven’t listened to Limbaugh for a long time. Has he come out for anyone?

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote:

Pope John Paul II agreed with earlier popes that socialism fails as a political system because it is rooted in the denial of freedom.

      – Wow. Bernie tried selling socialism to the Pope and the Pope said nope. From today’s WSJ Ed.

    • lysie says:

In other words the Pope said nope to the dope??? 🙂

    • The Raven says:

The old soap couldn’t cope and had to mope with no hope

    • lysie says:

      Ha! Good one. 🙂

    • The Raven says:

Democrats in the news [trigger warning” Contains facts of Democrat corruption]

      IRS Corruption with illegals-Breitbart

      From the article:

Four illegal alien tax filers had used the same address and claimed a total of 20 children for refundable tax credits of up to $1,000 for each child. Only one child actually lived at the address, and the other 19 lived in Mexico and had never even visited the United States.

This is one of those corruption scandals that gets you beyond the head shaking stage.

    • lysie says:

Disgusting. Imagine if we law abiding citizens made a legitimate error on our taxes. Would it be overlooked or would their be penalties?

  15. edinva says:

If I were you, Molly, I’d find someplace far, far away come July. I think BOTH conventions this year are destined to be fairly historic. Kinda like Chicago ’68 all over again! This time, tho, it won’t be just the D’s and it won’t be just the usual rabble protesting. Not sure I ever mentioned this, but at the ‘peaceful’ D convention in NYC in 1980, my brother was NYPD assigned to the convention. On the last day, out of nowhere, came some ChiCom protesters and my bro got an axe in his back. Ended up with serious nerve damage that led to his early, and very disappointing, retirement. Not to mention 35 years of pain.

Miss Zoe gets baptized next Sunday. SIL’s grandmother, whose DH of 63 years passed away in late January, will be coming in from France/Belgium (good place to get away from!) Zoe is her 17th great grandchild, and she still knitted her magnificent sweaters and booties. So that’s something to look forward to, and the weather forecast is just perfect, high of 74 and sunny.

Very eagerly anticipating the upcoming primaries. I DO hope they can wrap it up before Cleveland, that will cut down on a lot of the presently anticipated problems both inside and outside the arena.
