Good morning everyone. At the camp.

Update: Using Greg’s laptop not my tablet. I can post breakfast.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Nice. Have fun…Hope the fishing is good!

    • lysie says:

Thanks, Molly. You have a great day. too.

      Morning Quote:

This is disgusting. If you can’t spot the bad guys and the good guys in World War II, of all conflicts, you’re on the side of a valueless nihilism that allows the possibility of future world wars – after all, you can’t take a strong stand against evil if it doesn’t exist.

Ben Shapiro on Obama’s Hiroshima apology

    • lysie says:

Yes, it is disgusting. No president or veteran should have to apologize for protecting their country. See? That’s it in a nutshell. Obama doesn’t want to protect.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

And what about the Civil War, Mr. President? Sorry to say ,but it looks like it took a war to end slavery….maybe the North should have given up sooner…after all, the losses were horrific…so what if slavery had not been ended? What do you have to say about that?

    • edinva says:

Wow, lysie, you’ve outdone yourself. That is some spread!

What would O care about ending slavery, or not? No slavery in HIS family’s background. If anything, his father’s tribe sold others to the slave traders. And for all we know his mother’s family owned a few slaves.

There was a Metro car brake fire at the Arlington Cemetery station this morning. Not sure how that will affect the people who take Metro to the Cemetery and to watch Rolling Thunder. Hopefully it’s cleared up well before noon. If not, there are other ways to get there, just less direct. The whole Metro system will begin intense repairs, starting Wednesday and going for a year, with lengthy segments of the different lines shut down for days/weeks at a time. Gonna be interesting, but there have been too many incidents over the past year … years and years of operation without proper upkeep finally caught up with them. Still, compared to most city’s public transit systems, it’s pretty decent, tho limited in scope.

Have fun in camp. Thank you for breakfast.

    • The Raven says:

Molly P….I had a lib neighbor when I lived in CT…..and it really surprised me that she looked at the Civil War as an economic war – not one for slavery. The libs have decided that because the Dems were against the war and so they can’t give Republicans the moral high ground.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

American history…my univ. major and some of my profs were leading scholars in the Civil War…so, that’s my background and your former lib neighbor: she’s taking the position of some of the southern defenders of slavery c. 1858….now how would she like that?? this defense is in primary sources of the time.

And yes, she’s also denying the moral high ground to many of the Rs of those days, strongly influenced by Quakers and former slaves like Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman.

  2. lysie says:

Wow! Look at that thing go! Hope O hasn’t given it to Iran either.

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
