  1. The Raven says:

Oh my this is so funny. With all the bad news, I had a good laugh at this

  2. The Raven says:

Orlando shooter “Not from this area” “Terrorist” – Police.

He was well prepared (20 dead + 42 to hospital)

    • lysie says:

      Drudge headline:

ISLAMIC EXTREMIST KILLS 20 AT ORLANDO GAY NIGHTCLUB

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Oh my…..

    • The Raven says:

I’m on over-the-air television here and temporarily lost FOX reception due to weather. I switched to one of the other networks and it was liberal gobbley gook – calling it “domestic violence” or domestic terrorism. That drives me crazy,

    • lysie says:

As of 1 minute ago, CNN’s webpage reports domestic terrorism. MSNBC and NBC don’t mention the attack.

    • The Raven says:

The police spokesman specifically said it was planned terrorism but too early to tell if it was domestic or international. Has Hillary blamed the NRA yet?

      Morning quote:

“We will kill you everywhere O disbeliever.”

      ISIS Cheerleader

    • Molly Pitcher says:

What was the title of Andy McCarthy’s book…..’Willful Blindness”?? Blind to evil. If we don’t see it…don’t acknowledge it…it’s not there. It’s really working, isn’t it???

    • lysie says:

It all depends on who is doing the looking. If it’s libs it may be going as planned. Blame guns and 2nd Amendment.

    • The Raven says:

      OMG – He’s a registered Democrat

    • lysie says:

Nothing to see there, Rav. Move along. If they dig long enough they may find out that he had a NRA member and Republican as a neighbor.

    • The Raven says:

Oh, now I see the guy’s father says he was anti-gay and it has nothing to do with the fact that he is an ISIS supporter or his religion.

Phew, what a relief. That makes me feel so much better.

Yep. It’s the NRA’s fault. If he didn’t have a gun…. Oh wait!! Maybe he was poor, and was upset at Trump. The media and the Dems will be filling the air with excuses like that very soon.

    • edinva says:

He was upset because he thought Trump was gonna take his Momma’s food stamps, that’s what.

When we left the house this am to a) visit grandbaby and her parents, and b) go to church, the news was 20 dead. The Mass opened with the priest announcing FIFTY dead. The was audible gasping in the church. We were asked to pray for the victims and their families. NO talk about its being a gay club tho it was said that the killer was an Islamic terrorist. I don’t feel any more or less sad and disgusted because it was a gay nightclub. It was a senseless murder regardless of who the victims were. Just hideous.

The fact that our pathetic excuse for a POTUS cannot bring himself to say the words “Islamic Terrorist” is stunning. What would it take? There is some irony here that his two primary constituent groups, the only ones who’ve benefitted from his White House occupancy, have finally come into direct conflict. Took long enough.

Otherwise, we had a pretty perfect day .. not only did we see dear granddaughter and her parents, we saw both sons. That’s two Sundays in a row, and three of the past four weekends; they will all be here next Sunday for Father’s Day. After they lived in different places, it’s wonderful to have them back here, and reachable in half and hour. And, weather was warm, sunny, breezy, not too hot and not at all muggy (that happens about 5 days a year in DC). Life is good!!

Let’s hope the coming week is a bit less eventful, but I think these ISIS people are playing up Ramadan, and we may have more mayhem ahead.

    • The Raven says:

If it looks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck, and you aren’t packing, run like hell

    • lysie says:

Obama had a presser. I missed it, but my guess would be he did not mention ISIS or condemn ISIS.

    • The Raven says:

      It’s starting.

      it is the NRA
      – Bernie says the real culprit behind the attack is the lack of gun control

    • lysie says:

But, but, but I read that both shootings (singer and the nightclub) are

    • Molly Pitcher says:

The # of dead has gone up, hasn’t it? All this info coming out…ought to wake up people, maybe not Bernie and our “leaders”…0’s press conference….missed him walking this tightrope…

    • The Raven says:

And, Lysie, from your link above, he’s a security guard and licensed.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Doesn’t matter with the monster said….0 will deny he meant it…He misunderstood his own religion…blah, blah, blah…

    • The Raven says:

      From the Washington Post:

“Police have not identified a possible motive”

      – They must be really dumb. Somehow they are behind about half of the United States.

    • The Raven says:

Here are more lefties throwing mud at the GOP. Really disgusting. Next of course comes surrender to ISIS.

  3. The Raven says:

Remember that Hillary first declined to release her emails to Judicial Watch. Then she sent a printed copy of half of them to State and claimed the rest were personal. The the FBI was able to recover the originals from the deleted server files and thus they have two versions.

I wonder if any journalists have the cahonies to ask if the recent CONFIDENTIAL email was on both

And it seems to me that Hillary had broken several laws. They seem to claim the security issues are the only law pertinent here (also the easiest to worm around). But what about the Freedom of Information Act? Her purposely avoiding the FOIA can’t be that easily skirted, can it?

    • lysie says:

      Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

How great it would be if a journalist did his or her job. Report the news not coverup.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

And good morning to you. Don’t read anymore if you don’t want to be depressed……

OK I warned you…We know what Hillary is capable of…she lies and cheats, and lies some more…and innocent people die in the process……There is no way she and her criminal party are going to lose this election: 1. They cannot give up power, and 2. she has to protect her criminality. That can only be done if she continues on to the WH.
I don’t think of this as cynicism…but realism….facing the facts.
      I hate writing this….

    • lysie says:

Molly, I hate to say it, but that is a high possibility. My wish is that she completely bumbles it during all debates.

    • The Raven says:

There is a remaining solution, albeit a long shot. Click here

    • tillacum says:

I read on FR that at least 1 incoming e-mail was marked secret. She’s lied…again, that none were marked classified of any kind.

    • lysie says:

And the press keeps covering her butt.

    • tillacum says:

I think orders from the highest level in dc has hindered the FBI, CIA, DOJ and Dowdy from
getting and releasing the “hard” stuff on shrillery.

  4. The Raven says:

not one of the announcers picked the favorite. Interesting.

  5. edinva says:

Thanks for the reminder, lysie. I’d forgotten completely about the Belmont Stakes. There are some (minor) down sides to not having TV.

Hope everyone’s buckled up … the next few months are gonna be SOMETHING! What’s with Fauxcohontas? Inserting herself into the fray. Another lying cheater. Yeah, we need more of them. When my kids were in elementary school they began all that box checking on ethnicity, so I’d check “Native American” till they changed the name of the designation. I am so sick of all that. Hopefully it reaches the point of critical mass where people just will not tolerate it any more.

I understand there’s been a bit of backlash to that TX “valedictorian” who ‘fessed up to being illegal, having been offered not only admission but a full free ride to Yale. Valued in the quarter million dollar category. Wonder if there was any misrepresentation on her application? That would be cause for withdrawal of the offers IF the school had any chutzpah. Which characteristic we all know none of those Ivy towers possess. Admission standards (if you want to call them that) need to be changed. A kid from my daughter’s school got into trouble in his final semester when he had that senior burnout and submitted a plagarized paper for a junk course. Stupid. He was not allowed to graduate with his class and his offer of admission to Georgetown was withdrawn. ONE paper!

Nice, but hot weekend on tap. The past few days here were nothing short of perfect.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi ED we all need bumper pads for the weeks ahead, you know? No tv makes more and more sense.
Very, very windy outside. Not at all pleasant….so I do a few jobs then retreat inside…

I heard a good joke a little while ago….. One party is building a significant sized wall around its convention site. Funny huh? The Rs thinking they could get away with such a thing! The idea! Oh wait…it’s the Dems in Philly!

    • edinva says:

Are they REALLY planning to build some kind of wall around their convention site? What a hoot!!

Watching what’s going on in this election, it answers why “good people” are NOT willing to run for office. Why? So you can be smeared from here to Kingdom Come? Thanks, no!

Molly, we had one seriously windy day this week. Of course, it brings temps down, so it was OK by me .. was getting TOO hot here. Heat is returning. Oh, wth, it’s SUMMER!! Our schools’ last day is Friday, tho many of the high schools have already had graduation. My h.s. alma mater had its grad ceremony last Saturday, back in my day we didn’t graduate till @ 6/23 or so. We had it tough then, what with walking to school, uphill both ways, etc.

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks for the list….looks like it’s Exaggerator then. Coverage starts 5 p.m ET NBC.

      Good morning lysie

    • tillacum says:

Good Morning. Hubby is with Exaggerator, now that Nyquist isn’t running. I’m sticking with Cherry Wine
Our little town is having a Car Show today. Our American Legion group will be participating, our Cmdr will be showing off his motorcycle and we will be selling hot dogs, sodas and water. It’s going to be in the low 90s. I’m going to take a fan, cause there won’t be any air moving.

    • lysie says:

You are welcome. Good morning, Molly and till.

Have a great time at the car show, till.

    • The Raven says:

Still in Florida. Got a lot done yesterday. Checking off the to-do list. Bought a washer & fridge.

Molly – I had put my knife on the carpet after opening a box and forgot about it – last time I remembered using it was at the dumpster (getting old).

….getting internet installed on Monday. Stay tuned.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

till sounds like a great day lined up for you….the weather report for here has “calmed down” a little….

Raven that episode of forgetfulness….really doesn’t sound AT ALL familiar! HA…I wish….one thing….during those weeks when I was on a strict regimen of using eye drops thru out the day for the cataract surgery…..my memory over all improved…really. hmmmmm

    • The Raven says:

So that Grimme shooter in Florida is still unnamed. Very few facts on whether it was terrorist activity or not

    • lysie says:

So sad. Far too young. I think withholding the name is standard operating procedure if _________. Fill in the blank.

    • lysie says:

CNN reports “The gunman — who authorities say fatally shot himself after shooting Grimmie — was a 21-year-old white man, and had two handguns, two additional loaded magazines and a large hunting knife. ”

I may have to take back my previous post.

    • lysie says:

Correction CNN got it wrong according to the Orlando Sentinel. The police have identified the shooter as Kevin James Loibl.

    • The Raven says:

Remember when the libs assumed every shooting was a Tea Party member? They never apologize when the facts turn out otherwise.
Lately, there has been a noticeable delay in releasing information in these tragedies.
