Well, well, well look at this. The Clinton Foundation has taken millions of dollars from anti-gay countries.

Where’s the outrages, lefties?

  1. The Raven says:

Morning quote (from the Sunday talk shows)

“We are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance [to the Islamic State].”

-Attorney General Loretta Lynch saying they will release the 911 tapes of the shooter but edit out the portion where he admits he’s an ISIS terrorist

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  3. Molly Pitcher says:

Happy Father’s Day to everyone! Glad we can still celebrate it…not a microaggression…yet.

  4. edinva says:

Molly, I missed your post about the loss of your friend/friend’s husband. That is tough, and my deepest sympathies to your friend and to you. I hope they are local so she will have you nearby for the support that she will need in the coming weeks and months.

I was out yesterday with a friend who was/is in town for the annual DAR meeting. She tends to avoid the actual meetings and uses the time to catch up with friends and family in the area. It was a perfect day, sunny, warm, light breeze. So far, with the exception of some very serious t’storms that hit Richmond rather than here (140k without power), it’s been a good week weather-wise. And that’s a good thing because the reactions to the Orlando massacre have had me kinda down. I’m stunned at how many people fault Republicans, the NRA, and especially Donald Trump. It defies any and all reason.

Tomorrow the clan gathers here for our monthly family dinner that just happens to coincide with Father’s Day. By default we will grill chicken-chorizo kabobs. I’ll have everything prepared tonight so the gents can do the honors at the grill and I can spend my time with Zoe, not cooking. Method to my madness.

    Happy Father’s Day, all!!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks ED…yes she is local…and incidentally, went years ago as a teenage ambassador to the DAR convention. She has talked about it every so often.

Agree about the ignorance of too many…very disturbing…Enjoy your day tomorrow. Sounds fun and lively. Have been picking up stuff in the yard…we had a terrible storm come thru Thur. afternoon…not like Henrico Co. tho….

    • edinva says:

Molly, Dominion Power is claiming everyone will have power back by tomorrow night. Pretty massive job, so kudos to them if they achieve that goal. THO, to the customers without power for 3 days it no doubt seems like forever. At least it’s not 90+ degrees!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, that’s a good amount of time…I have cousins w. of the capital…..will find out how they fared when we see them in a few weeks.

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

And thank you lysie and Raven on the comfort offered on the loss of our friend. He was a very interesting, talented, gentle guy, and his wife, my particular friend, will miss him dearly.

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

Molly, Rav and Till, thanks for your concern.

Rav, I’ve heard similar stories from others who were told the “bone on bone” speech.

It seems strange to me that the pain wasn’t there until an incident I had getting in to the truck. The pain feels like a rubber pain stretched as far as it will go without breaking.

The good news is I slept well last night.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, good about the sleep…a second opinion sounds like the right course. Interesting that injury you describe.
Good morning and thank you, thank you…
Selective outrage= the Left…plus, the low information voter it always can depend on.
‘Course the area is nervous/excited about the Basketball game tomorrow night…kinda glad my attachment is not so strong….,

    • lysie says:

Yes, the game. Should be exciting.

    • tillacum says:

      Thank you for breakfast.
Happy to hear you were able to sleep last night.
Off to the gardens and pull up the bean plants, they have completed their chores. The cukes are still producing, and the okra plants are going great guns. The corn is ready to be harvested, then the stalks will go into the compost bin. Getting the gardens ready for the fall and winter harvest. Right now it’s too HOT to plant anything. Upper 90s.

    • lysie says:

You are welcome, till. Were those magic beans? LOL

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning till Glad you have such a productive garden!

    • lysie says:

Molly, should that headline read Your CAT can train YOU?? LOL

Seriously, my cats listen to me and they will sit up for a treat.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

HA…..good question. I was certainly semi- trained by my cats
