Military coup underway in Turkey. I almost feel sorry for Obama. (laughing so hard there are tears in my eyes). Hope whatever happens the people of Turkey are come out on top.

    • The Raven says:

I doubt if Zero cares, mkh

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Another setback for 0. The military in Turkey have long been worried about Erdogen’s flirting with Islamism is my understanding. But does 0 take note? He seems impervious to his many failures.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I am almost 70. Always interested in the wider world, I have never ever seen a US president actively seek chaos and such destructive policies as the one now in power. It is just amazing to me…so scary.

  2. Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my…there may be as many as 20 people on life support from that attack. But…this needs to be confirmed…

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote:

It looks as though Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg won’t be delivering the keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia two weeks hence.

      James Taranto, WSJ.

[Turns out she’s another whack-o left winger with zero understanding of the world – embarrassing she’s on the court – not sure why Scalia hung out with her – TR]

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Ginsburg is a mess…typical of Leftists…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Oh boy!

Good morning lysie, Raven, till, everyone

Sure hope any protests today are quiet….would be nice if they never happened in the first place, but that may be too much to ask.

Megyn Kelly’s show last night was extra good. Don’t usually watch anymore, but figured it would be worthwhile given the news, and it was.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Molly.

Protests….(sigh). Bull….it’s just an attention plot. Hey, look at me..look at me. Seems to me if the protests are to make people aware of violence there would be no violence at the protests.

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Rav. Still laughing at the lysie video cartoon.

Turns out she’s another whack-o left winger with zero understanding of the world

There are so many it’s hard to distinguish on from the others.

    • The Raven says:

      Protests !

But isn’t that just the way of the world with Dems? When you are a malcontent, everything is bad.

Molly…did you ever try to link to the “important message” below?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Now I have! You reminded me….too busy yesterday, but on the desktop, yes I could watch your productions….you are funny and clever! Very good!

    • tillacum says:

Ginsburg is Ginsburg she’s been strange from the moment I had become aware of her.
I just heard the French President told his countrymen, “We’ll just have to learn to live with terror”.
I agree with Newt, if you want Shairia law move on. The only reason they’ve moved to Western nations are the free lunches and cover over their heads and of course to live as they please, whereas, in their mother land, they couldn’t live as they wished. Their women must be really weak, to allow their husbands and men folk to treat them like trash.
I cannot imagine any of my sisters or friends to allow such horrible treatment. Real women have cast iron frying pans, and I’ve heard they have come in handy from time to time. A woman brought her abusive husband into the ER one early morning, terribly bruised and such, yep….

  4. The Raven says:

    Whoa!! Trump 44%, Clinton 37% – Rasmussen

    • Molly Pitcher says:

We are home, unpacked, etc. terrible to hear about this latest terror attack.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

The death toll is 84 this morning, including one American and his young son.

    • tillacum says:

    • tillacum says:

We should realize these uncivilized hoodlums will stop at nothing. They have been blasting and burning and killing in France for many years. As the years have gone by these hoodlums have become braver and more brazen with their killing and destruction
Wherever they live in France, they’ve turned the area into a pig pen. It’s terrible and they are outbirthing Westerners.

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  6. lysie says:

At the last minute after Greg’s American Legion meeting he decided to go to the camp. No internet. Sorry.

    We are home, now.

  7. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

The essential characteristic of socialism is the denial of individual property rights; under socialism, the right to property (which is the right of use and disposal) is vested in “society as a whole,” i.e., in the collective, with production and distribution controlled by the state, i.e., by the government.

Socialism may be established by force, as in the USSR —or by vote, as in Nazi Germany. The degree of socialization may be total, as in Russia—or partial, as in England. Theoretically, the differences are superficial; practically, they are only a matter of time. The basic principle, in all cases, is the same.

The alleged goals of socialism were: the abolition of poverty, the achievement of general prosperity, progress, peace and human brotherhood. The results have been a terrifying failure—terrifying, that is, if one’s motive is men’s welfare.

Instead of prosperity, socialism has brought economic paralysis and/or collapse to every country that tried it. The degree of socialization has been the degree of disaster. The consequences have varied accordingly.

    – Ayn Rand

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I guess you saw that 0 is floating the idea of single payer now that 0Care is falling increasingly apart?

    • The Raven says:

He first said that a long time ago. (also no statements from any Dems on economic growth )

    • edinva says:

morning, Raven, all… single payer has been the goal all along. O’Care was the precursor to get everyone used to a socialized medicine. Think of the # of docs who’ve retired just in the past few years rather than deal with the tyranny of O’care. Wonder what future docs/providers will be like.

And we’re having another beautiful beach day. Says she who slathers up with her SPF 50!! Nonetheless, it’s nice to be where it’s sunny and warm, and to watch the waves hit the shore.

    • The Raven says:

      Morning quote 2:

Before you push us to judge whether Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump would do better in bringing us together in racial harmony, Mr. Healy, please say a few words about why President Obama has failed.

      – Ann Althouse after New York Times’s Patrick Healy opined that “no moment … has cried out more for a unifying candidate. . . . And no other moment has revealed more starkly how hard it is for Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton to become that candidate.”

      Morning quote 3:

Her mind is shot – resign!

      – Donald Trump on Justice Ginsburg

    • Molly Pitcher says:

The divider-in – chief is not done either

    • The Raven says:

Hah…new polls show Trump ahead in PA and FL…..or maybe the libs are doing a head fake so the GOP keeps him as the candidate next week.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I don’t know…but do you think Ginsberg is baiting Trump?

  8. Prairie says:

Hello friends! Taking a moment to check in, we’ve been at music festival, doing chores around the cabin and keeping busy in general. How nice to have this site to check in with though, I appreciate the links and comments that everyone posts.

I don’t have any links right now but will post that Fox News just announced they are cancelling the contributor contract they have with Newt Gingrich due to the possibility he may be named as Trump’s running mate. I think it would be a great match, myself. Gingrich has the Washington expertise and his calm and well-spoken demeanor would be good contrast to Trump. The biggest drawback is that it would be good to have a Veep that might run for office in 8 years. As much as I liked Dick Cheney, I believe his inability or unwillingness to run helped vault Obama into office. That said, we do live in interesting times, no?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi prairie….your summer is going well? I had a super fast boat ride this evening as my cousin was trying to find a fishing spot he heard about before it got dark….no luck. We had to turn around before we got there, so he will try again tomorrow.

    • Prairie says:

Yes, it’s going well Molly, thanks. Very busy with music festivals and projects at Blessings Cabin. Progressing well here though. Getting guttering installed today.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I understand there are some fires out there…maybe not near you, but I had hoped with all last winters snow, there would be none.

  9. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

Lysie !!! I’m afraid we will need video of the Boot scooting. Good morning.

You know, I wish I could draw cartoons. I’d love to have an animation of some future family going about their business when the newly left wing Supreme Court is issuing a new directive every 45 minutes. They would take turns listening to the radio and redirecting their lives continuously to adapt to the new fiats to placate the infinate demands of the malcontents. And finally they hear the court has ruled the Constitution unconstitutional, disbanded themselves, and turned the nation over to Putin. The characters all scream in unison and are joined by Peanut’s characters!!

      Hah !

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning….still in Maryland enjoying reunion with many cousins. Weather is perfect, and catching up with everyone proceeds. As far as any paying attention to politics, they are conservative and anti H!

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Molly. Have a great time.

I slept the best last night in months. Yay!

    • lysie says:

I don’t do selfies, Rav. In fact, I can’t stand the word. Ha! Good morning. Good cartoon idea, sad, though.

    • The Raven says:

Molly…you are dangerously close to ground zero of BLM. Be careful. The laws change by the hour there. Oh, I just remembered you are also near Washington.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

This part of the state is very conservative….Yay!

Good to hear about the super rest. lysie

  10. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

If the delegates are unbound to exercise their judgment, and a majority concludes that is someone other than Mr. Trump, the GOP has the right to do so.

    – WSJ opining after a federal judge issued a permanent injunction that overturns a Virginia law requiring that delegates vote based on the results of the primaries.

  11. edinva says:

Greetings from the Jersey Shore! Just a quick note, internet connections seem fleeting. BUT had to share. This am went for long walk w/girlfriend. On the way back we noticed an especially beautifully done house. I said, let’s walk down the side street to look at it more closely. As we X’d the street, the young and rather attractive blonde homeowner wife walked around the porch to her towhead toddler who was sitting out there, and leaned down to take him/her out of the chair. My friend said ‘your home is really beautiful’ and she thanked us, told us they’d bought it last year and had fun refurbishing it. Short convo. As we walked away I said to my gf, “do you know who that is?” and of course she said no. I said that is Megyn Kelly. She said “Who?” After a few moments she said ‘oh, from TV!” So there you have it!

  12. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

Thanks for your prayers. Leaving soon for the cortisone shot.

  13. The Raven says:

    Dems in the News

    – Ruth Bader Ginsburg will flee the US if Trump wins.

[ an excellent reason to vote Republican – TR ]

    Morning quote 1

You see, my husband took an oath to be committed to you and your safety, regardless of whether or not that takes him from me. I never took that oath, and I’m beginning to wonder if you’re worth it. As I said, he’s better than me.

    – Melissa Littles, My Husband Is A Police Officer, And I Owe You An Apology

    Morning quote 2

My favorite part of the Obama era is the racial healing

**** Penn Jillette takes on three libs ****

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Quite a collection of quotes to start the week! Ginsburg…very un judicious, but what do I know? I’m just a conservative woman, and Madeleine Albright has already told me what I am.
