So, Hillary Clinton selects Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine as her running mate. She is hoping to attract independents and possibly disenchanted Republicans. Will it?

Sorry about no breakfast this morning.

We went to the funeral of a dear friend yesterday and Greg wanted to go to the camp after.
A neighbor at the camp asked Greg to go fishing in the morning so we stayed overnight.
Guess what? No hotspot internet. Grrrr!
It looks like we must get TW.

lysie, YOU’RE FIRED !!!! (to quote a great man)

So sorry for the loss of your friend. Probably going to the camp was the best thing for both of you to do. Sometimes we need space to try to sort out our feelings on the death of a dear friend.

If D’Souza’s “Hillary’s America” comes to your town, may I suggest you try to go? We joined 3 Maryland FReepers who I’d originally met at those Walter Reed Friday night vigils so long ago. The “halfway” meet up point was all the way out in Frederick, MD. TWO HOURS by bus and Metro each way and then another half hour or so ride from the Metro terminus to the theater. Still worth it! Plus after the show we went out for dinner and had wonderful convos. You all will be surprised to learn the show was panned by the WaPo.

We all but never go to movies, so I was surprised at the ‘senior’ ticket price! Holy cow, I am so behind the times, so was astonished with the number of families there. Kid tix cost same as seniors … and those big, yuge barrels of popcorn! I DO realize how cheap I am!!!

We opted out of going to the pick your own farm for blackberries today. 104 in the shade? Seemed better to stay home in AC comfort. Maybe next week. Temps are supposed to plummet to upper 80s.

I am so excited about the Wikileaks and Debbie Wasserman Schulz being thrown under the bus!!! And, of course, all the chaos taking place in Philadelphia that just never happened in Cleveland, certainly not at the rate the D’s were panting about in advance. Ah, turnabout is SUCH a bi#ch. The MSM comes off just as bad in those leaked memos. Oh, the fun we will have this week!!!

BTW, some of my more plugged-in VA friends’ biggest gripe w/Kaine: he closed down restrooms in roadside rest areas. Said the state couldn’t afford it. The next governor (McDonnell) came along and re-opened them. Can you imagine driving thru an entire state with no rest area rest rooms? Hillary said he is her “kind of guy.” Anyone know what that means? The only ‘guy’ we know she’s involved with isn’t exactly something to brag about? Is she saying Kaine is a philanderer? What?

Looking forward to the coming week! Not only to the BS and chaos and scandal but how the MSM turns it all into a picnic in the park.

Thanks , ed. She was a wonderful person.

      LOL. Fired LOL

I’ll wait for the DVD because I need CC

ed, maybe he’s a little fruity…she likes those kind of guys I know, I know, he says he’s catholic. Well, anyway, I’m looking forward to the gasping and hyperventilating from the presstitutes. When I first heard Schultz had not been given a place on stage, I realized the dems have a bigger split in their ranks then the pubs.
It is HOT here too, we just got back from picking okra for hubby tonight, gosh, there’s enough to feed an army. I can eat just about anything, but my teeth snap shut when it comes to okra.
      Y’all stay cool.

    • lysie says:

      This might help.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Evening everyone…ED I remember the no bathroom facilities in VA! Yes, big nuisance … caught us by surprise on the first trip. We laughed as our frustration quieted , it was too crazy
lysie a relaxing day by the lake….take the opportunity!

Other than the one knifing death and the one bombing death, all is peaceful an quiet in Obama’s and Merkel’s utopian world.

I am still reeling from Hillary’s signing on as co-chair the totally disgraced former DNC Chairthing. I guess I should say the totally disgraced candidate taking on the totally disgraced chairman. And they complain about Trump? Wonder how Bernie’s people are taking this. Spineless thing that he is, he will go along but probably not many of his followers will.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Horrible, horrible. Do you have some more RV-ing to do this summer? Someplace cooler, if there is a place like that this year?

    • The Raven says:

We have a Wisconsin trip coming up – probably September. To see my wife’s mother. I think maybe one more year of RVing … then we’ll go back to flying.
My [previous] boss bought an RV and went on his first trip last week. He was texting me every 5 minutes. Everything that could go wrong went wrong.

      ☹️ Yes, very disturbing.

We are working on cleaning a room here. Major reclamation project. When we can’t take anymore, we will grill chicken fajitas, enjoy them of course, and then proceed to our fave soft ice cream place which will be pretty busy considering it Sat. and very hot. 🍦🍦🍦🍦

  4. edinva says:

OK, the chatter was building in the past few days about Kaine, but I’m still surprised that she chose a white guy. Maybe she figures she will carry the “women” vote, already has hispanics and blacks. They will do what they are told. The thing about Kaine that galls me to this day is that when he ran for governor, he and his campaign mocked his opponent’s Virginia accent! He’s from MN. His father in law was the first post-reconstruction R governor of VA, so helped with the whole appearing centrist ruse.

Today we are going to see “Hillary’s America!” Have you all seen it? We’ll be joining 2 or 3 FR people in MD. DH bought the book earlier this week then late last night we got a call inviting us to join them… so off we go. In 104 degree weather. Ugh. Well, I keep reminding myself, it IS summer.

    Stay cool, and hydrated, everyone!

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.
